    Interesting ! Are the blips I hear meteorites going through the atmosphere? What about the wailing noises?

      Indeed, what you hear is the radio image of a meteorite entering the atmosphere
      wailing noises that you hear are due to the Doppler effect.

      @@radiorider8249 thanks for the response. When you say the Doppler effect, how does that cause the wailing? I'm familiar with the Doppler effect changing the tone of the sound, like a passing siren, but how does that constant wail get caused by Doppler effect?

      @@cmcgloughlin The constant noise, the note at approximately 1000 Hz, is generated by the radio receiver in SSB detection mode. This is the signal of the powerful transmitter that is reflected by a trail of ionized gas. This ionized trail is produced by the heating of the air when the meteorite enters the atmosphere. When the audible note changes, it means that the meteorite's trajectory approaches or moves away from my radio station, like a train siren or a car horn, a phenomenon we know well everyday.

    Is this the actual radio waves radiated by the air ionized by the meteors? And if it is, why on this specific frequency?

      On 143.050 Mhz we have a very powerful aerospace surveillance radar. Its emissions are reflected on areas ionized by meteorites. Ionized areas do not radiate themselves but do reflect signals.

    You did not mention your QTH locator, nor call sign. Which antenna? Antenna polarization?

      Hi Milan, i am located in IN96KE, city of La Rochelle on the atlantic coast, my call is F6CRP. Antenna used is a DK7ZB type, 9 el Yagi, about 2,5 wl on 144 MHz, gain about 11 db dBd and polarization is horizontal. I use a MGF1302 GaasFET preamp (NF=0,5 dB) and receiver is a SDRPLAY RSP1.

      @@radiorider8249 Ah, so. Thanks. I assume you can't receive GRAVES on 143.050 MHz? Just got idea to track satellites and meteors (on my live stream). Seems that this transistor is excellent stuff. Do you chill this LNA?

      @@MilanKarakas Yes i am located at more or less 500 km from the transmitter, i receive its signal on tropo propagation all the time, not very strong, 3 to 6 dB over noise. I am not in the pattern of its antenna. About the preamp, no chill, too complex for an amateur, it works at ambiant temperature :-)

      @@radiorider8249 Thanks. I want to buy that transistor. But from Germany, it cost nearly 30 Euros. Is that too expensive? Or should I gamble and buy it from China? Oh,. btw, just got reflection from ISS. Did you got that too?
