i just got my first job in cloud security but i want to work as a pentester in the future. They told me pentesting is not an entry level role, so I have three questions. Hope you can help me:
    1) Which Cloud Security Aspects, maybe even cloud certification will help me in pentesting? I do not want to start from zero when i later change to a pentesting role
    2) Is cloud Pentesting a required skill for the future? If yes, how can i learn it.
    3) i want to learn Python to be a better Consultant in Cybersecurity. Should i learn a normal Python course where i learn the whole language or should i learn a specific python course for Cybersecurity because many aspects are irrelevant for cybersecurity. Can you reccomend any course? I thought about doing the 100 Days Challange course in Udemy by Angelina Yu.
    Thank you in Advance

      Hey 🌸,
Congrats on your cloud security role! Here's how you can align it with your pentesting aspirations:
      1) Understanding cloud architecture and services is crucial. Certifications like AWS Certified Security Specialty or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate can be beneficial. Knowledge of cloud-specific vulnerabilities will be invaluable in pentesting. (Note sure which cloud provider you are familiar with today, but choose one of these to focus into the technical side)
      2) Cloud Pentesting Skills: Yes, cloud pentesting is increasingly important. You can learn through platforms like A Cloud Guru or by setting up labs in your own cloud environment to practice vulnerability assessments and exploit common weaknesses.
      3) Learning Python: A general Python course can be a great foundation as it's versatile. (You can also explore other coding options, just my recommendation) But for cybersecurity, focus on Python for scripting, automation, and developing security tools. Specific cybersecurity Python courses or tutorials can be more beneficial long-term. While I can't endorse specific courses, look for highly-rated ones on platforms like Coursera or Cybrary that are focused on Python for security professionals.
Leverage your current role to understand security controls in the cloud, and when you're ready to switch to pentesting, you'll have a strong, relevant background.
You've got this, Your Cybersecurity Bestie 🌸

@@cyber.queen_ First of all a very big thanks to you for actually taking the time to reply, i really appreciate it
Regarding your advice about learning Cloud Architecture/Services: i got two questions:
      1) Before taking the AZ 500 would the AZ 104 not be a logical precursor (i already have AZ900/SC900) to understand cloud architecture and services or can I skip this cert. what would be your advice to understand Archticture and Services?
      2) Is it important to get certified in both Cloud platforms for example after taking the AZ 104 to get the AWS Solutions Architect Associate or after the AZ 500 to get the AWS Security Speciality?

    Hello,
Can a BTech ECE graduate with no programming skills get into cyber security field?
What will he have to do?

Have you done a bug bounty yourself?

Hey, I have done one or two and alot of CTFs but its not really something that I find very entertaining, so no real hard focus into bug bounty hunting for me.
