You font know how to cook theirs not any1 on a line of a fine fine restaurant taking temps on steaks. We are professionals not cooks. We are trained to the T on this subject
I used a variation of your method here. I smoked a ribeye roast at 250 until it hit about 110 internal. Then I sliced and seared it in butter with garlic and thyme. My wife said it was the best steak she ever had. You made me a champ in the kitchen!

I did my own rub and this method is foolproof. Steaks come out perfect if you follow every step. I even hit my fridge with the bone for the finishing touch. Subscribed!

Just gave this a go with some chunky NY porterhouse to try and assuage my fear of ruining steaks. Came out great! In my ripping hot pan with a hotter vegetable oil it had an epic crust in just 30s instead of 90s and came out medium well with 3 min of basting. Would have preferred medium but it was tasty regardless. Thanks for helping me get started into cooking steaks with confidence!

did this last week for my roommates, but i found that multiple steaks to be a challenge mostly with the basting as i didn't want to use too many pans or clean the pan right afterwards.
I ended up using 1 grill/griddle for the steak and 1 pan for the butter basting with garlic. don't know if it was efficient or effective but wanted to see what your thoughts on this were.

Looks great and LoL, if you know you know! My kids always want the smashed potatoes so I always keep a bottle in the fridge and take every chance I can to put it on everything I think it may work on. But for some reason... never tried on a steak before cooking it. As a finishing salt, yes, but gonna have to do this :).
