He's also single-handedly keeping the Philippines (specifically Manila) car-dependent. He loves car-centrism and is pushing people to further lean into car use rather than mass transit. He literally wants an entire highway on top of an existing river, absolutely disgusting and revolting.

If you want to rebuild Philippines invest in trash burner and plastic separator to first of all make electricity but use the ashes and plastics to make plastic road signs, boats and even road markers or whatever reusing the plastics that’s been thrown all over the place. Plastic bowls or whatever. Singapore is doing it. Install a system where people can bring in trash in specific trash bags pay them for collecting or a discount for electricity. Make it worthwhile for the people in slum areas to make some money. This is a win win because people will earn money for trash, clean up the island and you get to sell items made from trash and make electricity and sell it to people.

You don’t fix the economy if you keep impoverished people impoverished. Yes there is middle class and rich but you have impoverished people who if their life becomes better they start spending money too for things. Yeah middle class has more disposable income but impoverished people having more abilities to have income they too will spend money. As I can see Manila and around Philippines has a lot of impoverished people and if they start spending with income above their means they will help in the economy. It has been shown that middle class and rich do not spend much to help the economy. However impoverished people will spend money on a lot of things they want and need. A middle class or rich person will spend 10.00 of 100.00 keeping 90.00 in the pocket. An impoverished person with 100.00 will spend 50-100.00 of the 100.00 given to them. So who is actually supporting the economy.

The infrastructure projects currently being undertaken by SMC in the Philippines appear to be of subpar quality. The tollways are in poor condition, with numerous bumps and uneven surfaces, and the traffic congestion persists due to its slow RFID system. The construction of the New Manila International Airport (NMIA) project is facing potential delays due to lack of construction activities. Do they have enough funds to do NMIA and NAIA project at the same time? The MRT 7 project, which has been ongoing for eight years, remains incomplete, and its design is aesthetically unappealing. The continuous construction of elevated expressways within Metro Manila does not effectively address traffic issues and instead encourages increased vehicle usage and higher carbon emissions. Their company had been involved multiple times in massive oil spills and our govt and the media seems to cover it up.

I think if he takeover the construction of Makati Subway it will come into fruition and make the riding public happy. He can buyout the company behind it or form a joint venture with it. This company is cheaply priced at PSE right now. He can buy it very cheap. There are a lot of benefits once Makati Subway become a reality aside from alleviating traffic, people mobility & productivity and more economic activities and employment. This will be link to MRT 3, Pasig Ferry, Metro Manila Subway and even to NAIA airport

Blame Marcos for giving San Miguel to Cojuangco. Had it remained in the hands of Jaime Ayala and Andres Soriano it would be a model conglomerate.

I think we should leave the rebuilding of the country to PBBM in consortium with reputable Filipino contractors consulting with foreign engineers like US, German, & British. Leave Ramon Ang to take care of San Miguel so it will not go down the drain.

If they build a mass transportation system i will admire them. All that road is privately own and will have to pay a toll rate they can control. Its all about business not for the betterment of the people.

Ramon Ang’s “Terminal 5” project for RPLL caused a massive stir in the Philippine Aviation industry. Manila’s air traffic is already causing much delays due to the airport’s landscape and design, due to the airport’s intersecting runways mainly RW06/24 as the main 11000ft long runway is the only runways that is used for departure and arrivals of wide body aircrafts such as the Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 777-200, Airbus A330-300, Airbus A330-900neo, Boeing 747-400, etc., the other runway intersecting the main runway, runways 13/31 is a short runway that only accommodate narrow-body aircrafts for departure only like the Airbus A320 family of aircrafts, so in turn the airport cannot operate both runways simultaneously as other airports like VHHH (hong kong), KLAX (Los Angeles Intl Airport) with two or more parallel runways than can be separated and used simultaneously with the other runways can be used for only arrivals and the other are used for only departure traffic, RPLL can’t do that therefore causing a long queue on departure for the main runway. Also one factor is RPLL’s instrument approach equipment, before the COVID lockdown, RPLL has both ILS for RW06 and 24, but now ILS CAT 1 is only available for RW24 and not 06, RW06 is currently utilizing the RNAV or RNP approaches which is fine but will be difficult in poor weather and visibility situations as aircrafts like the A320 or Boeing 737 cannot use their autoland system embedded into the autopilot. But the main reason for RPLL causing delays will be the intersecting runways so if he will add Terminal 5 rumored to be located beside Terminal 2 will cause more delays and more congestion as that area is used by PAL as a remote ramp extension from bay 49 onwards on Terminal 2. If the new airport will be finished sooner as scheduled, international flights can move there while the old airport can house all of the domestic air travel in the Philippines much like Taipei, Tokyo, and Seoul has 2 entry points, for Taipei they have RCTP and RCSS, for Tokyo they have RJAA and RJTT, for Seoul they have RKSI and RKSS (Incheon and Gimpo)..

Impossible. The 2023 Corruption Perceptions Index scored the Philippines at 34. When ranked by score, the Philippines ranked 115th among the 180 countries in the 2023 Index. For comparison with worldwide scores, the best score was 90 (ranked 1), the worst score was 11 (ranked 180), and the average score was 43.
