Awww finally a spotlight on Bayawan City!! We had the opportunity to visit their landfill facility and learn from them a few years ago as a family. During that time, part of their plans as well was also to continue their information drive on reducing waste on the household level, even including their students in the public schools. Thanks for this FEATR. Actually aside from the cleanest city, they put priority on Organic Agriculture and even have local policies and programs in place supporting organic farmers and encouraging those who are not yet into organic. We also came across art shops beside their beach converting drift wood into art and selling them. Even ART is evident in the city. Also, I know they have one of the strongest Civic Society groups in the country. Andaming good practices that all of us can learn and realize na posible pala mangyari ang mga to sa Pilipinas! One thing also noticeable is how proud the Bayawanons are of their city and even their leaders!
In awe of the pure passion of not only Bayawan city as a whole towards waste management, but also the leaders they put in place for this project. Grabe! Well done, kudos.

THIS IS INSPIRING! I hope maimplement ito on a national level hindi yung puro corruption ang iniisip ng mga politiko.
The landfill is located in our barangay..im proud resident here...congrats my hometown👏👏👏
I've been to Bawayan City and I loved their market so clean. Kudos Bayawan people!

This video just kept getting better every next chapter. From the passed RA, the implementation (and the citizens' cooperation and discipline), disposal, segregation of residual and recyclable waste, storage for glass bottles, vermicomposting, and that extra leap for wastewater treatment! Napaka-SOLID po ng waste management niyo, Bayawan! Thank you, FEATR, for showing and telling this story. I truly hope it will bring awareness to many, and eventually prompt citizens and local leaders to take the next step towards a clean[er] environment. This video definitely made me want to go to Bayawan. See you soon, Bayawan!
Thank you FEATR team. And salute sa mga taga Bayawan!
There are over 149 cities in the Philippines
The City of Bawayan stands as a shining example for other communities to follow. Their leaders should be commended for introducing and maintaining practices that will undoubtedly benefit both their environment and citizens. A special acknowledgment to the manager and the lady enforcer, whose pride, passion, and intellect shine through their words. Their people's cooperation with their local government is truly admirable. Their collective efforts have created a model community that deserves to be emulated nationwide. While we may have strayed from the values of discipline, respect, and cleanliness as we grew older, it's never too late to make a change and choose the path of righteousness and discipline.
GREAT JOB BAYAWAN CITY!
GREAT JOB FEATR!
I want to transfer and live there! 😆 Ang galing nila, they have shared community values - discipline, cooperation, cleanliness
Definitely considering retiring there now. 🤔
🎉🎉🎉
You guys might want to rethink that, because what this video doesn't tell you is there have been a number of unsolved shootings in Bayawan, with the most recent one only in July. 😅
if you want really clean try to retire here in Laguna Eton city. people here are very disciplined and very clean. no poop of dogs and etc. no tambay outside right after night time. or no nag iinuman outside. Videoke is strictly up until 8pm only
@@mrchubblesBayawan only shared little unsolved crime unlike Dumaguete. Last July shooting it’s business I think malaki utang siguro sa pinatay kaya pinapatay. We living here since 2015.
Kudos to the LGU and the dedicated and genuine management. The waste manager too is passionate about his work.
The good thing, too is other cities in Negros Oriental also benefit from their waste management center like Dumaguete. Our city pays Bayawan city to manage our trash. Segregation has always been done for years in Negros Oriental, too. Thank you for featuring this! I hope this can be replicated throughout the Philippines. 🎉
I am so proud of Bayawan! It takes a willing village, dynamic leadership, brilliant educators, and committed workers to execute and sustain this waste management system. Kudos to the champions of the recycling movement! You are all super hero. This segment spotlights the intelligence, remarkable know-how, resourcefulness, enduring commitment and cooperation of a whole town. I am very hopeful because I know all Filipinos are capable of embracing this process to benefit their town and the future inhabitants of our country. God bless this remarkable process and may the powers that be implement this recycling movement in every town in the Philippines. 🇵🇭 Good luck!
Lahat ng tao nainterview, very knowledgeable, disciplined, and passionate. Nakaka inspire ng sobra! Sa lahat sa Pinas tulad nila. 😊

ang talino ng waste manager, salute sayo sir napaka galing and efficient mo as a waste manager. I'm rooting to see you on mainstream media!
“To all my fellow Filipinos, we need to practice discipline in keeping our country clean and tidy. Even with our simple lives, we should commit to maintaining a clean environment. I hope this video inspires all Filipinos who watch it. Thank you, FEATR God bless this channel.”
Clearly this video shows that Filipinos are not disciplined are shameless, apathetic, and proned to indolence.
God and I we agree to maintaining a clean environment that excellent if you continue to do so
I salute Bayawan. Bayawan is lucky to have him who knows what he is doing, a passionate uncorrupted worker of the government. The people of Bayawan are also smart and understand what the “Bayanihan” spirit which is a rich Philippine culture is all about. Congratulations Bayawan leadership! 🌈🌈🌈🥰🥰🥰🙏🙏🙏
Thanks to Mayor Gerry Saraña, your efforts are now being reaped!
God bless Bayawan!
dapat both din naman..@@JRiz17
Salamat sa mga taga Bayawan City. I hope DENR can learn something from them.
As Jim Rohn said, “Words do two major things: They provide food for the mind and create light for understanding and awareness.” I hope that, in some way, this 'FEATR.' will spark something in everyone's mind. It does take a collective effort to make a change.
Thanks for another FEAT, FEATR!👏🙌🙌🙌
A bright spot of hope for our country. Congratulations Bayawan City! Calling CEBU CITY!
Bago ako naging sang college student at nkapag tapos ng kursong agriculture at nka pasok sa City Agriculture office ng Bayawan City isa akong street sweeper 5am palang nasa daan na ako nag lilinis pati makasama ko we back 2014 hanggang ngayon mga street sweeper nmin dito sa Bayawan maaga pa yan makikita nasa area na nag lilinis and I proud na isa ako dating taga linis nng basura sa daan I love you Bayawan Kita ang Bayawan 🙏🙏❤❤❤

Hanga ako sa kalinisan.Bravo to the organizer of clean environment.Watching from Canada 🇨🇦 Calgary,Alberta
I've been to Bayawan noon and I can say it is indeed clean po. It's not only the implementation of the solid waste management program and legislation but also the cooperation, attitude and discipline of the people living in Bayawan because they think that being disciplined in terms of cleanliness for their surroundings they are concerned much for the good of all and for nature. Saludo ako sa people of Bayawan and the government working together to make your place better if not the best. Dapat tularan ng buonglugar sa Pilipinas to make it waste free. If you can do it then the rest can do it also. They just need the cooperation, right attitude and discipline to make their place waste free.❤️👍👏
I love these kinds of content! Thank you for sharing!
Glad you like them! Thank you for tuning in
kudos to waste manager...ganyan talaga pag alam @ inaral ang trabaho. Keep it up..Good job.
Would be really nice if they have a waste management museum na din parang Japan! Para everyone can learn how Bayawan does their waste management and inspire everyone to do better! Thanks FEATR for featuring these stories
Tama. Masarap ang malinis ang kapaligiran. Lahat ng lugar sa atin, it's worth saving our own city.
There is money in discarded "waste." Fertilizer at plastic moulder? Ang LAKAS nyo, SANA ALL! I salute your efforts! If we have the will, character follows! It takes time to develop the habit! GANDAAA! Congratulations, Bayawan City! ROLE MODEL talaga at attractive tourist hub!
they actually have! though it's only shown locally during symposiums at schools and student field excursions to the landfill, the 2017 one visayas scout jamboree was held there . The waste management videos and practices were shown to scouts from all parts of visayas
Amazing 👏👏👏 Wish this can be replicated and mandated in every PH city/town. I love looking at the clean market, kaya naman pala. Great job to the local leaders. We need this kind of leadership that promotes discipline and worthy projects that enhances quality of life.
The citizens cooperation is the hardest part. Big kudos to the LGU in making it happen. I hope Filipinos not only demand from their govt, but also exercise the discipline required themselves.
I hope all LGUs learn from your example --- kulang na kulang sa Metro Manila. Dito kanya kanya ... kulang sa malasakit sa environment at sa kapwa tao. There is nothing impossible under good governance and people who genuinely care!
Nakakabilib.
Nakakatuwa makapabood ng good news gaya nito. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤❤❤❤
This is so impressive. I hope all cities will benchmark and adapt their waste management. Their WM Manager as well is very passionate and its clear that he loves what he's doing.

Bayawan City VS Marikina City, ganitong laban yung gusto kong makita across our country. May pag-asa pa tayo!
Iba talaga pag nagtutulungan at disiplina sana gayahin ang BAYAWAN CITY

Ang galing ng manager. Matalino at may puso. 🤝 Solid salute sayo sir.
A good role model for other rural towns in the Philippines - Bayawan City is still a small town in appearance very quaint and clean.
Congratulations to Bayawan citys people you deserve to be recognized as such very good people esp your leader in making your place clean
This is a perfect video I can use to show my grade 10 students about waste segregation management. Kudos to all the people of Bayawan!

It’s very true waste management starts with the behavior of the people. Good job for the people of Bayawan👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

this is inspiring. makes me a proud filipino to see. thanks for featuring! i hope this city's standards and practices are more thoroughly shared and passed on
I salute this place , ang linis. Kahit sino mahihiya magkalat sa ganyan. Sana ganyan din dito sa amin.
I miss bayawan city. I joined the One Visayas Jamborette back in 2016 and bayawan city was our venue. Grabe talaga!! their landfill was so cool walang baho kasi theres a technology that absorbs the waste juices under the lanfill. tas ang gandaaa kasi may mga rice fields close to the landfill which makes agriculture bloom more. Like superrrr!! It was my best scouting experience ever! Kaso I couldn't join scouting during my high school days cuz i was on a star section pero next yearr college nakoooo i wanna try scouting again !! Once a scout, always a scout!! Let's all be an advocate to a cleaner environment!
Amazing…As a Filipina, even born in other country,I’m proud of my fellowmen taking the initiative to make and keep their city clean..TQSM and may other cities and communities follow the good step
*Bayawan City is a hidden Gem in Negros, i want to live there and experience the cleanliness of the City.* ❤❤❤
uy grabe for once legit proud ako sa kapwa pilipino, matagal na namin gawain ito in my family totoo talaga halos walang disciplina iba.

It is everyone's duty and responsibility truly. MABUHAY KAYO!. Thank you so much FEATR!
Good job! Sana'y magsilbi silang inspirasyon sa buong bansa. 🙂🙏🏼✨
So proud of this town. I’m amazed how much Philippines has improved. It’s people like this man making a difference.
it's actually a city. sana di macorrupt ng rapid urbanization though
This what happens when the government cares for its people and environment, and most especially, when they listen to the experts. Thank you Bayawan City!
Awareness, Discipline at Implementation/Enforcement lang talaga and credit to the leaders ng bayan na to as well to the people. May cooperation and unity.
Galing nyo!
Congratulations to the people of Bayawan! I hope this spreads to the rest of the country.
I hope this becomes an inspiration for many cities and small provinces in the Philippines. I’m optimistic that all parts of the Philippines will get to this point.
Wow! If every city can follow what they are doing, specially in Manila - mas gaganda Ang Pilipinas! Disiplina lang talaga Ang kailangan at leadership and commitment ng mga nakaupo Sa local government para maumpisahan Ang mga ganitong proyekto …… at pagsunod at cooperation naman ng mga mamamayan para maging successful Ang ganitong uri ng pamumuhay .. well done to the whole community of Bawayan city 👏👏👏👏
Wow, congratulation to the people and government of Bayawan, green city and a good example to the rest of the Philippines. Hope it will spread out to more cities. Thank you for this video.
Hopefully, someday soon the Philippines 🇵🇭 will be one of the cleanest country in the world 🌎. Thank you Bayawan Waste Management team and its leadership for leading the way. And thanks to the FEATR for featuring this motivational and doable project. Well done 👍
I believe every country in the world, should take this as an example, great job

I just visited negros oriental particularly dumaguete, sibulan and bayawan.. and i've never seen a city as clean as marikina which i am living btw.. seeing how discipline they are make sense ❤

Salamat kaayo, FEATR team! Someone dear to me helped out with this LGU's solid waste management program several years ago so it's kinda surreal for me to find this video. I was too little to understand the scope of what they were contributing to back then yet I've always been in awe of all the hard work they do to help others. Bayawan's shared efforts and hard work put together continues to pay off. It's beautiful. When both their leadership and their community is able to commit to keeping their homes clean, the results speak for itself. We hope that more communities in our neighboring regions as well as across the world are encouraged to act likewise puhon o7
