Hi Audrey. Music and memories seems to intertwine with so many times in our lives and I hope and pray that the fondness of those memories are always sweetened with the richness of infinite love. My thoughts are with you Audrey.🙏🙏
I know what that's like. We played "You've Got a Friend" at my mom's memorial in 1980, and it was a long time before I could hear that song without becoming a sobbing mess. Sending wishes for time, friends, and music to heal your heart. 💙💙💙

🤓🤓 New to us!!!! You would have to pay me big time to stand out in that audience though (am I mistaken or are they all standing?). The good news is that even in my 20s I might sit outside for a couple of hours for a good seat but standing was not my thing. Would pay to be able to do those knee bends though....
@@SoundsFair--M-and-J Been years since I have been able to go to a concert for a few reasons but the main one is the access and seating for people with disabilities. The other problem is that not many international acts tour Australia nowadays like they did in the years of growing up and if they did sadly the younger generation wouldn’t know who they were unless parents educated them. Watching Lee do his venue tours helps to feel like you are right there with him and it feels mighty fine and doesn’t hurt too much. Beth Hart is incredible and a surprise to see.🙏🙏
@@steven_scattergood That's surprising (that they don't have better accommodations). There are laws that mandate them here for most venues (maybe not for festivals-- but not all teens and 20's are brave enough of heart (or whatever you might want to call it) for some of those events). Price is another issue. People have wildly differing income levels all over the world now (I can assure you that the Taylor Swift experience I see kids talking about on TV now would have been fantasyland when I was that age). But my impression is that, pretty much across the board, tickets probably have gone up in absolute terms (I won't be sitting down to crunch inflation figures over decades, but we have had a degree of inflation in most things here since Putin went after Ukraine and concert tickets are no exception). It may also have something to do with the fact that the money comes in off of shows now rather than record sales. You are sure right about RUclips though! I don't think anybody is going to say "gee, I have the time, energy, money and will to go see that show, but I think I'll just sit here fishing for youtube clips instead.". But for those who can't go (or want to know if that is the show for them or to learn about acts that are new to them) it's fantastic.
I never really understood why, if you’re on the side of the stage and so close to the musicians and singer, how the sound can be so muted. If you are a musician onstage , is that how the singer would sound to you without earbuds or headphones? I know, stupid question. But I’ve never been in a band, nor stood stage-side.

@m1nn1s The sound is usually better a few rows back. But if I'm in the first couple of rows, I'm surrounded by sound, and I feel like I'm on stage. The soundwaves from the bass and drums go right through my body. 🎶🎶 Being able to see is also a consideration. There are venues where there are no seats in front of the 2nd and 3rd row at the ends. That's how Gina got clear video of Bonnie Raitt two nights ago, from row BB. That works at the Orpheum and the Lobero. In some venues, being that far from center is not worth the better view. That kind of venue specific preferences have come about from sitting in places where I couldn't see OR hear ... even in the 2nd row! This didn't start out as a long answer.
