Wooot! So happy to find more b79 vids..Ty! My question is my b79 has me change the lower plate and bobbin holder when using the embroidery attachment. It causes a slow switch over…. Are you using the recommended bobbin case for the embroidery? I remember it had a tag that said it was “improved” for embroidery.
This video was made before that came out. But for the bibs, I recommend the regular one because you are constructing them like you would be seeing them together, not like embroidery. You want the tension to be evenly balanced unlike embroidery where you want a tighter lower tension.
Question My new Bernette b79 recognized the large and small hoop but it doesn’t the medium hoop I have tried many times without success any suggestions
I am not sure without seeing the machine. Are you sure that it is not recognizing the hoop or the machine is not always automatically selecting it? Have you tried selecting the medium hoop and/or actually tried using it? If so. I recommend you take it to your local BERNINA Dealer with the medium hoop in question and have it serviced.
Do you have a video about problems with stitch quality? I tried to stitch out a quilt sandwich and I had small loops on top. I tried to fix the tension but was not having any luck
That’s not the case. In the hoop projects are designed to be constructed as if you were using a straight stitch or what have you. There is absolutely no reason to not use cotton thread, poly thread or any other thread suitable to go through your needle. I’m very sorry that you have been hindered in your creativity.
Your videos are very informative. Thank you from Maine
Yeah! Thanks for giving the Bernette b79 some love and a video! Great looking baby bibs! Thanks Gail!
Bobbin threaded incorrectly. Thank you Gail!!!
Thank you for the B79 Video, they are very rare on YT

When loops from the bottom form on top it means that the bobbin is not threaded correctly
Now I can do that for the next baby shower
Please make more Bernette 7 series videos..
Help! I just got Bernette 79 and only bobbin thread shows on my embroidery. Top thread doesn’t show. What is wrong? Thank you
There is either a super obstruction in top or the bobbin is not threaded correctly
I was always told by my teachers and friends that embroider to not use sewers thread in my machine embroidery only machine …. Hmmmm
