Thanks for the great videos. I really like your format and your video quality is really good. Looking forward to the next one in the series and will be watching your older videos.
Thanks so much, glad to hear it. I'm also upping the quality on the next video (posting in a while). Filming everything at 60 fps on an iPhone 11 and it looks pretty cool I must say! Thanks for your support.
Hey! I hope your work has recovered well, and I hope to see updates to this project soon! I'm a beginner and your works are really inspiring! Also your video are really clear and shows really well te majority of the techniques. Can I ask you to get more in depth on how to made the polished aluminium effect? Do you have some online reference to suggest? Thanks a lot!
Thanks for your message. The polished aluminium is done with Alclad lacquer. First you prime with gloss black enamel (Alclad primer or any lacquer). Put down a good single wet coat. Then you lightly spray with Chrome. The cleaner the base coat, the better the result.
Improving the kit is always something I like to do. The problem is that it takes much longer to complete. I’ve only just turned to page 3 of the manual!! 😅
I must say, I am enjoying your style of video, nice explanations, etc. Please keep it up. I have always wanted this kit, but never managed to find it at a price I was willing to pay. I am a fellow South African, also brought up in East London and raced myself on the East London race track many years back, which is where Jody started his racing career... Hence my wish to get this kit... Nevertheless I have a lot of similar Tamiya kits in my stash which I will be able to use similar techniques which you're showing on this build. Keep it up. BTW, your replacement decals, which brand did you get? Was it from Indycals?
Hi, thanks for the comment, I'm glad you're enjoying the build. I got the decals from an eBay vendor. Tried 3 times in total, twice with this vendor and in the end I got two sets. I'll dig out the info and reveal all on the next video. I should probably do a giveaway with the spare set! ;)
@@justyouraveragescalemodelb3152 Hi Goodmorning. Unfortunately I have seen that Zero Paint does not produce sprays. Could you recommend a red tamiya spray peche I think the Ts8 is a little too dark. You are the expert so I would appreciate your advice. Thank you very much
Really nice and relaxing to watch, thanks for posting. I had this kit in the late 1980s, but sadly never completed it.
Great progress on the Ferrari. As far as the extinguisher goes, I always tell myself I know its done!!! Nice work!!! I'll be watching

@@justyouraveragescalemodelb3152 Great, thanks a lot!
I started one I've had too long and this is already helpful thank you! So did your improvement come over time or from changes you made?

@@justyouraveragescalemodelb3152 I'm the same way I'm not as good but I began to think focus on completion and continue to learn as I go on.

hello great job. I also bought this kit and will start shortly. Could you tell me which Tamiya red you used for the bodywork? Thanks a lot.
Hi George, thanks for the comment. I actually used 1970’s Ferrari Red from Zero Paints. It’s supposed to be an exact match. Good luck with the kit!

@@georgeg3286 If you're limited to the TS range, your only option really is going to be TS86.
@@justyouraveragescalemodelb3152 thank you very much! 🙏🏻 I look forward to the next video😜
