In my opinion , death note might not be the greatest anime ever , but light's character.... Thats the greatest written character character in all fiction
I wouldn’t say all of fiction since that’s extremely subjective, but he’s definitely far far more well written than a lot of people even give him credit for since they don’t read the manga. The manga has more content helping Light’s character
