  • To chase down drug runners and human traffickers, the Department of Homeland Security’s Air and Marine Operations uses a purpose-built vessel that is capable of high speeds, quick maneuvers and running at night with no lights on. The 41-foot SAFE Boats Interceptor offers the agents a stable platform so they can chase down boats in any conditions, at any time of day or night. Power & Motoryacht joined the Air and Marine Ops for a day on the water out of Miami, Florida, and got to see this vessel up close and personal. If you’ve ever wondered about the boats you see patrolling the U.S. borders, check out this video. We were very impressed with the handling, construction and thought put into this vessel. Read more about our day on the water with the Air and Marine Ops here: www.powerandmotoryacht.com/bo...

Parked inside that fenced in Property I did move out of Florida in the late 80s and those boats just kind of disappeared sadly. As a commercial Alaskan charter boat owners and river guide with jet boats we say about the Mercury outboards is they are painted back because they just don't want to work!
The worst outboards I have ever used at Mercury and Yamaha as totally crap and full of issues making have constant issues.
I have switched all my boats to Chevrolet 350 V8 to a Chevrolet Big block 402 500 hp in the jet boat.
Never again will by the large outboards just the trolling motors work fine.

@@jeremyclarkson1 I am doing nothing to Mercury engines other than putting gas in them then having to pay up to $30.000 in repairs on a 225 EFI that never did get fixed to stop No. 1 cylinder from turning on and off.
I have to have trolling motors for fishing salmon so that is the only outboards I own are the 9.9 motors that never have problems.
Now my jet boat I rebuilt then put in a 1969 402 big block that left GM in 1969 at 425 Hp .
Nothing stops this Chevrolet engine and I can run it at 1/4 throttle with 8 people in the jet boat at 35 MPH.

If so, just get a single 400R or Verado and get it over with. I've never heard anything bad about them. If you have a single 225, just get a 300 Verado and leave it.
