Just installed mine, everything works great except my OEM reverse camera isn’t working. Emailed joying so I’ll wait to see what they say. I’ll update if I get it fixed

Update: I still can’t get it to work despite trying multiple wire configurations. I thought I had it right a couple of times yet it didn’t work. Let me know if anyone gets it to work, otherwise I might just buy the joying reverse camera.

Great screen Max, exactly the one I want, except for the install will almost surely hide both the upper analogue watch (no problem!) & also the hazard light button beneath it (as in your case I guess), so how did you solve that, what are the measurements of the screen (LxW), maybe it would fit my dash without "blocking" anything?!

@@javierico4462 Hi mate, don't think my 86 has a middle speaker. If you mean the two speakers on the dash or doors. They all work on mine. Even connecting to Android Auto.
So far how do you like it? Dose it connect to your phone a soon as you turn on the car or you have to click Bluetooth?
It s a good head unit. It connects straight away after I turn the car on.
Hi Max, great video, it seems the indicator stick is quite close to the screen since it is so big, would you say this is uncomfortable ? do you sometimes touch the screen by accident when indicating ?
Indicators for mine is on the other side of the wheel. The screen is quite close to the wiper switch. I have no issues moving the switch up and down tho. Let me know if you have more questions about the head unit
I see that they have single din and double din option for this unit but I don't see any difference between the two? Do you have any insight?
I think single din is mainly for older model vehicles. (Pre 2010 when cars come with only cd players, no screens). Let me know if you think otherwise
Can you use the unit while making a call?
The previously unit didnt allow for the unit to be used while taking a call. For exmaple, cannot use maps.
Yes, just tested it this morning. While using android auto, you can make phone calls and use navigation apps at the same time. Music automatically stops tho.
hey man do you know if it have a wire for SWC (steering wheel control)? :)
I think the Toyota 86/ brz harness has connectors for steering wheel control. Unfortunately my 86 is 2013 and doesn't have swc. I'd say send joying an email and confirm with them, just in case im wrong.
i just purchased this after seeing this video. I hope it will fit my one piece dash trim on my sport tech brz. It's so expensive 😭😭
I'm sure it will fit bro. The screen and the head unit itself are two pieces. The head unit works in even in my i20 where the whole dash is curved
@@maxbulkyhulk installed it today, fit perfectly! I just wish i could remap the bottom buttons to open zlink or other installed apps that aren't joying's oem apps though but that's the only flaw haha

Can the AR cameras double as dash cam/ record when i’m driving in the case of an accident?
I believe you can. Can also set as parking monitor if I'm correct.

Hah! You already knew that was going to start up before you "tested" it by putting the ignition on, that unit was in sleep mode, they don't start up from cold that fast.
Do u have this one and r u having a problem with it taking long to start up because i am and its super frustrating
mine started like that in few sec but i deciced to turn sleep mode OFF

Who has a problem with door speakers and Oem back up camera no signal . Or I’m missing hardware?
@@bumperxpert9564 for door speakers find settings for amp on or off something like that google it and for camera probably missing hardwer

If the music is on, when u reverse does the music stop?
It can be set in settings. I have it set to reduce volume when reverse.

I believe if it works for Android Auto, it works for Carplay. They are basically the same thing with different brand name.
Does this one fit the left hand drive models
Yeah. It fits both left and right hand drives.
How is it holding up for you? Any wireless issues or any thing that would make you regret this purchase?
@@angelruano5743 everything works as it should. Had zero issue so far. The only regret would be not getting it sooner. lol

@@angelruano5743I think you can wire speakers directly to the head unit. Just need to figur out the wiring. I`d say contact Joying directly. They are the expert. Their email is in description.
does your door speakers still work with this headunit?
Yeah man. All speakers work.
Mine don’t what you did? Mine is a brz 2016 I picked the head unit wit Toyota and brz logo. My Oem can reverse don’t work and door speakers don’t work . Also the usb original is no longer working so I guess is part of the installation.
How long did it take for them to send ur unit???
It was about 10 days from when it was sent till it showed up at my door.

@@maxbulkyhulkjust installed it and i’m having a problem with the display. It takes 5 minutes for the display to turn on but the buttons and sound still work even tho the screen is black☹️

were you able to link to factory backup camera?
Unfortunately my 2013 86 doesn't have factory backup camera. I have a aftermarket camera from joying. Stock camera should be plug and play with the canbus provided with the harness tho.

@@jayyalann I think for factory camera, you need to select Cvbs-N in reverse camera system. Does your harness has a canbus?
