26:21 this is reminding me of a “Dark Mirror” episode where the lived in the building where they would all ride stationary bikes all day to earn money (or credits?) and it was just like this. Only they didn’t have implants in their minds, but were heavily monitored and it was as crazy as this is so far! Such a strange show, I’d not be surprised if this was inspired by that show.

Hi Doc! I wanted to say after listening to your talk at the end of last nights story, please don't burn yourself out and feel that you have to record when your not up to it. We would totally understand if you need a break and would definitely wait for you to feel better! I thoroughly enjoy your content and dedication, but understand burn out and hope you don't push yourself to that point. Illness took a lot out of you recently and you still managed to entertain us. I am very grateful to be able to listen to you so often! You've helped me on many a sleepless night, but your mental and physical health are priority so you do what's best for you and your family. Loved the poetry my grandmother grew up that was the way they entertained themselves as children and she told me stories since I was old enough to remember the poetry took me back to when story telling was a true art and that's what you are doing thats what the best do and that's what you have done because you are a true artist in the story telling world

My grandmother loved to tell scary stories my bedtime stories were never like Cinderella fairytale and some were told like poems its an art and you are an artist keep up with the poetry

I personally loved the poetry that you've been reading before the stories. I just kept forgetting to say so by the end of the video. Did you write them yourself? Poetry is a more concise form of short stories. I can get lost in reading them all day and thinking about them longer. Also, I just realized, I am writing this comment from a red room within my house.....like actual painted red walls, nothing creepy. Please keep reading the poetry..pretty please with sugar on top and a cherry too!

Enjoyed the story, though I'm not sure if I totally understood the ending? As for the poetry, have you ever listened to the Moody Blues albums of the 60's and 70's? They often started out with poetry and ended with poetry. Added something special to the story the album told. 😃
The last story about Jerry at shamrocks was so sad. No one should have to die that way. Our laws against criminals are too lax. We need stiffer laws to deter crime. Plus kids who start young need to be put somewhere and trained that crime doesn't pay and it's wrong. God bless this man's family and loved ones.

I vote against intros, and it has nothing to do with the quality of your delivery, I just like to get into the story right away. There’s something magical about starting the video and immediately getting swept up.

Ok, is there going to be a point to all of this? I honestly don’t know what the heck is going on? What’s this building up to?
1:05:32 Well, apparently it led up to nothing at all. Just an entire story that could just as easily been a dream of total nonsense. This writer swung for the fences and struck out. However, this is also a huge part of what makes the Dr so great. He takes all kinds of stories and gives us a wide variety of works to explore. Of course they’re all not going to be winners, and of course they’re not all going to be losers. We have to take the good with the bad. And I am completely OK with that. I don’t ever feel like I wasted any time, and I don’t think that the Dr does either. It’s just a wide variety of different types for a crowd of vast variety. So my opinion is that it wasn’t up to my personal tastes. Had potential in the beginning, but somewhere between the 1/4-1/3rd part it started to become nonsense. But as always I thank you good Dr Creepen for putting so much effort and energy into these for our entertainment. Especially when you’ve been feeling so crappy! I sincerely hope that you start to feel better and it’s a quick recovery. As I cannot imagine what it would be like without your notifications! I’d be forced to listen to second and third tier works. And as for the poems, I am on the side that feels like they aren’t really necessary and if the school of thought that says if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it. And I feel like it wasn’t even close to broken! So that’s my 2c. I hope you get that, as you specifically requested it. Have a wonderful day Dr! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hey Doc, are you feeling ok? Took me a minute to recognize your voice in tonite’s story. I realize I’m the only one who has noticed (or who has commented) on this difference so maybe it’s just me - but I’d guess you might be suffering from a type of respiratory ailment as your usual medium baritone is now a deep bass & sounds almost painful to talk. I hope I’m wrong & I really hope you’re okay ! My granny would say to ‘go gargle with warm salt water or else get yourself to the doctor’ 😊!
