Oh wow seeing that Xin Zhao was nostalgic. 2 years ago when I was new I played a lot of AD top/mid Xin Zhao with lethal tempo but I would start with Doran’s ring to help with his horrible mana issues in lane. The AP scalings on his passive helped with sustain and the W scaling helped with poke when you couldn’t all in. Also Xin’s first kill was because Echo ganked haha
I decided to look at the stats after seeing this and it has nearly an 80 percent wr first item on xin. Only 13 games, and I'm sure most of them were this guy, but still interesting.
1:00:13 Happens, i remember stealing a Penta when I was learning Kindred - I was so focused in Teamfights on myself and piloting my champ correctly that I genuinely didn't notice and stole Yasuo's Penta. I felt actually sry for Yas but the amount of toxicity I got from the Rakan after it was way worse than that. And Yasuo later in the game got another one, so that makes up for it a bit at least ig xD (Ok yep he couldn't progress the challenge (forgot what it's called) "Get 2 Pentakills in one game", but at least he got his penta, that's also smth I would say)
This game is so weird when you think about it. Akali jumps you level 11, you kill her (in 2 rotations of abilities) and then have to reset for health. But you just reset. This game is all about wasting your time. Take 25 seconds to walk to lane, 7 killing your opponent, 8 for recall, then another 25 to get back to lane. It's literally 1 minute per kill to actually get back to lane and do anything meaningful. Also, Vex is almost like Annie, except Vex deals damage with 1 item where Annie feels like a wet noodle for 3/4 of the game and must use abilities to get her stun back.
It's not wasting time it's commitment. For actions to have weight they need to have consequences. If map movement didn't take time, macro wouldn't matter. If recall was instant there would be no strategy to finding a safe spot to recall, or making sure your wave is in a spot where you don't get punished for recalling. There are already problems in the game with that, with death timers not being long enough at the start of the game, where you get punished for getting a kill, because the time penalty for getting killed is not long enough. Time is and should be an important resource in the game and every bit of streamlining needs to consider the negative implications of "saving" time, or you end up optimizing fun and strategy out of the game.
@@scrapox217the problem you're talking about has been mostly solved with +2s to death timers early game and will definitely be completely solved once the new tp change comes through - some champions will still suffer like Camille or Tahm Kench due to their non-existent waveclear but they both take tp as well anyway so I'd say the issue has been resolved especially with the tp change coming start of next split
What's up with the scoreboard at 14:52?? It looks like the portraits are swapped with the enemy teams or something maybe but I've never seen that happen before
Rush hextech alternator first, gives you great early game dmg when trading. Her mana costs are huge but if you trade efficiently, you'll either get a kill or push the enemy out of lane
Not rly, it's more an off-meta thing - playable but not meta on him. So far, I've only seen AP Xin Jungle, but there's probably no reason why it then shouldn't be possible Toplane as well.
According to another comment, it scales with his passive to help sustain him, helps with his typical mana issues, and you can cast W more which will help w poke
I was recommended the Mickey Mouse video before watching this video and he was against alkali so when I saw alkali again I thought I glitched into the matrix or something
they gotta make more champs with anti dash abilities. vex is powerful but I don't see her much because she isn't the most appealing character to play, same with taliyah and poppy
"all the minions moved the exact moment i went for it" their target died? akali literally killed 3 of your minions at the same time.. so you wouldve had to predict her q forcing them to move which is obviously possible for someone as skilled as you.. but a pretty difficult thing to predict
Don't want to flame too much, but when are you going to play something besides mid? Would be nice to see more top lane games, or literally anything besides mid lane games.
He plays other lanes on his second channel called PekinWoof2. Check it out if you want to see matches from his streams. The vids are less educational and a little silly, but they're still pretty fun
I mean the whole appeal (at least for me) of his channel is that he plays at a very high level and is good at explaining his thought process and how to win. Midlane is what he knows best, he can play it at a higher level and knows better how to play it properly.
I feel like the culture of league RUclips is that people specialize in a certain role and make videos on that role only, so it’s not rlly abnormal that a massive majority of his games are midlane
The titles nowadays have gotten so clickbait that it goes against my instinct just to click on it, and, looking back I've already missed most of the past two weeks of pekin videos due to that. Unfortunately I don't want youtube to shove even more clickbait videos down my recommendation list, so I guess this is goodbye. The past two years had been fun.
Unfortunately the YT algorithm gives more exposure to clickbait-y titles, this is a well-known fact. (And IMO, Pekin's aren't even that clickbait-y). Since this is his livelihood, it's understandable he wants to pull a bigger audience. His content has remained exactly the same as it always was, educational, informative, and chill. It's not harming anybody and there is no reason he should choke his revenue stream for random guy #29848722 (i.e, you).
Can you expand further on what you believe of my title is "click bait" Vex is easy, has been strong every patch, and always high winrate. So she checks all the marks to make her "broken" as meta picks are the strongest normally. I only make titles of what I believe is true

That Xin Zhao didn't even go Riftmaker, he went Liandry's first item 😱
What WAS that???

His passive, if you go ap xin zhao you will get really good healing in your 3rd aa
@@ShahzodbekTojaliyevyes that's why people go nashors tooth not liandrys the confusing part isn't the ap item but it's the liandrys item itself

We don't call you "Pekin 'Solo Bolo' Woof" for nothing!
(Do we call you that? Anyone?)
...s-sure!
I love the longer form videos !!
I loved seeing you beat Akali's ass. If i wasn't already subbed, that would've pushed me over. GG
vex has been my favorite mid laner because they came out right when I started playing league, so I love to see a vex video
Love the gameplay
nice job dude

@PekinWoof if they build magic resistance would it be smart to build Void Staff after my second or third item?
hey whats up everybody welcome to the next commentary
today we are playing some vex mid lane versus an akali
Uh, Vex is a VERY strong and popular champion, in my opinion inside of higher ranks
Uh, she is good because there's so many dash champions in the game and she is okay against them
It’s not like a counter but she just does good damage so uh
36:17 pekin gave the zilean a kill lol
6:32 yeah I usually build nashors tooth xin
Is that last game a repost? I swear I remember you yoinking a penta from a Caitlyn before.
im glad you took that penta that caitlyn ended up showing her true colors when she called kennen a rat for no reason after she kiiled him

Mr Woof, what is your least favourite character to play?
himself
Yone
Is this xmas already??
wasnt she perma 50%> before like 8 months ago
Shes like 54% to 55% since forever lol
whenever i play vex, feels like she not doing damage
Bring the veigar games back!
It's not a real Pekin video if it doesn't open with something absurd happening in the first two minutes of a game.
they gotta make more champs with anti dash abilities. vex is powerful but I don't see her much because she isn't the most appealing character to play, same with taliyah and poppy
the higher you climb the more people know the counterplay

Day 127 of asking Pekin to upload a video of him reading a bedtime story.
That Caitlyn splash art in the end looks so 2009. wt actual f!?

Noo don’t hurt Akali 😢
Man games are so boring cant wait for start of next season. 15 every game
9:38 Solo bolo
oh wow am i early?
Ooofttttt
As an akali player, vex is one of the worst matchups. the intro was a bit misleading in that regard
