Westbound BNSF “Q” Crosses Over Reed Rd Between Coal City & Mazon, IL - Chillicothe Subdivision!!

Standing at mile post 62.63 on Chillicothe Subdivision around 3 pm when this BNSF “Q” train came rushing passed on its way to the Hobart Yard in Los Angeles on the Southern Transcon. This train originated at the Logistics Yard in Elwood.
Fun note: Reed Rd is behind me in this video. The tracks run at an angle, so east on Reed Rd is about my 1 O’Clock position. If you take Reed Rd east about 5 miles to I-55, you’ll see a place called “The Sun Hotel” in the town of Braidwood. That location was used in the 1987 John Hughes movie “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” - starring Steve Martin and John Candy. That’s where the famous “Those aren’t pillows!!” scene was filmed.
