no offense to the other ladies but jansen is something else...she is just magnificent ..
Last thing I have to say is that the music of Nightwish and the voice of Floor Jansen are 2 of the most awesome things that could possibly be brought together. It's like watching a pair of supernovas at once.

@@salt27dogg Floor herself said this is what happened. She was called at her sisters wedding and asked to perform on their tour three days later. It came as a total surprise to her. She literally knew aonly a few songs as a fan and had to learn the rest of the songs on the plane and in the bus. She flew from The Netherlands to the USA (a very long flight) and was on stage one day after she arrived. You are saying you don't believe Floor? And you don't believe the documentary filmed when all of this was happening?
Finally, after so many years... NIGHTWISH is back in the business!! and now, more powerfull than ever!

Floor Jansen is truly what Nightwish needed she will bring this band back to what they sounded like with Tarja this is like one of second comings that only happen when it's to late except it wasn't to late floor truly saved this band and brought nightwish back to the sound that made me love this band. Truly glad Floor is now an official member of nightwish i look forward to the new album next year.
I agree that she is what nighwish needs, but bringing it back to Tarja's sound? Nah... They don't even want to themselves its more of a mix of the operatical style Tarja had with a lot more rawness in the non opera parts :D
She brought Everdream to a whole new level :) And it's by far the best i ever heard!

Her hair is flawless and dat voice. O_O I love that gorgeous, gorgeous voice.
I have seen NW a great number of times, sadly only once with Tarja (Birmingham UK) , but many times with Anette and twice with Floor, all gigs were amazing in their own way.
I honestly think Floor is truly awesome and hope she will be a permanent fixture, lets hope her amazing performances are realised.

My friend, it may very well be in the works. Floor has learnt how to speak some Finnish. Then there was the action at Tuska Festival last night. The whole band was clearly enjoying themselves very much. I saw Marco's face when Floor was blasting away - utter joy. Floor was loved by the audience. And she sang like an angel. Tuomas was ecstatic. She got great ratings from the morning press. I even heard guitarist Emppu saying that they'd like her to stay, if she just so wishes. I know I do.

It's amazing. Floor does an absolutely perfect job singing this live, it's even better than Tarja on the albums.
That and Floor is pretty much THE definitive metal singer. She has range, she has stage presence, she's incredibly personable, and loves her work. She also has the most versatile voice in the genre, next to Cristina Scabbia, and Vibeke.

the music matches perfectly... and that awesome considering they used the original audio for each clip and edited them together without missing a beat.
She is incredible, never thought i might hear Nightwish again. Anette was nothing for me so i stopped listening to them after Once. Now, finally, they have a Frontwomen who can sing :)

With Floor Jansen Nightwish get's back a voice which can really perform the band's character. It's important to get back the feeling that it is not a coverband on stage - it's the original nightwish!! Floor has a wide range of her voice and she is a singer! Congratulations to this singer. Floor also fits into the band's stage image.

...in full metal solitude! They can finally play the classic Nightwish songs again! Annete. Great voice. It just wasn't the right replacement.
Take Tony Kakko for example. If he ever left Sonata, I would easily welcome another vocalist. Same with Nightwish. Would you rather have these musical GODS disband? You must subdue *change* in order to achieve *growth*. Annete was a change.
Now, Floor brings even more to the table. As experienced as Nightwish are right now, I can't fucking wait for the next album!
I love every Nightwish singer. And after I saw Anette live last year I realy believe that Floor's voice will grow stronger and in a year she would be the best thing that Nightwish could get after Nettie had gone. And when the new album will come out, she will have songs that were made just for her voice ^_^ I think she will be great.
I'm so happy that Floor is in NW! She really can sing Tarja's era songs and Annette's.
Why do so many die-hard Tarja fans insist on talking about her all over videos that have nothing to do with Tarja? Not just on Nightwish but other symphonic/gothic metal videos too. Tarja is still performing, so if you love her more than anything else, go and listen to her. Tarja is Tarja. Nightwish is Nightwish.
After hearing this song performed by all 3 of the singers, Floor is by far my favourite. Just watching how emotive she is when she sings this drives home the words so much more.
BOTH Tarja and Floor are awesome... Tarja for being the original and FLoor for showing the band nightwish that there is hope for having another great singer in The amazing Nightwish Band.

No one will ever sing Everdream like Tarja, simply because the song was written for her and her alone. Floor is really good at swinging her hair .. a lot ...

I agree on your statement about Tarja, but have to desagree with your comment about Floor she is a great singer too (not saying she's better than Tarja) she's different style but she will improve Nightwish bucasue Anette I have to say she sucked big time.

That's because of Tarja is the best of all metal women vocalists. She is the Queen. And Nightwish + Tarja were more than you can ever even imagine. Something greater than life itself. So immaculate and sacred. And now all that is gone. You may not ever understand it, but when/if you find it out you know exactly what we are talking.
And I'm not die-hard Tarja fan. I was die-hard Nightwish fan 1996-2005. I still keep listening them, even a new songs. But it still feels like something is missing..
Even I think that Nightwish is not a band anymore, but only a company, I liked the vídeo because Floor Jansen deserve it. The vídeo edition is very nice too.
I was lucky enough to see Floor/Nightwish here in the UK and she was amazing.......so many people doubted her as a singer for Nightwish........they were so wrong

Though there are millions out there who disagree, I for one DO agree with what you've said completely. You can just see it in him. He's got the whole band on a leash.

having said that, Floor Jansen is a really outstanding singer, perfect choice for NW... if our first love cannot be back again.
I've never think that Floor is able to sing like that!! I just say wonderful!!!!! In my opinion, the band should take her as a lead vocal, if not someone who has the potential like her. But who knows, the future will tell us the decision that the band take.

I personally prefer the sound of Anette's voice. It's just so warm and fresh sounding. On the other hand, Floor is capable of singing both eras of Nightwish, and she's by far the best live vocalist the band has ever had. If Nightwish were to go on with her as the new vocalist I would be very happy and would accept her 100% She's incredible. :)

I never thought I'd see After Forever and Nightwish molten in one, what a pleasant surprise I had when i knew she's the new singer of Nightwish, she has an amazing and powerful vocals, she just has to adapt her vocals to Tarja's Nightwish style, and obviously I'm looking forward a new released centred on her own vocal syle
She's not going to sing Tarjas style, she will sing her own style, why copy Tarja when your style is better

I must say, this song was my final test for her, and she passed. I've been a huge Tarja fan for a long time, so I'm finally happy to pass the torch in my head. But no one will ever be better than Tarja. :)

De acuerdo contigo. No es que Floor sea mala. Es buenísima! de las mejores cantantes en mi opinión y quien diga lo contrario se puede decir que no sabe de canto. Pero Tarja... lo que pasa con Tarja es que es impecable! Sabe poner emoción tanto en su voz como en el escenario, sabe como vestir en sus shows... es decir... una cantante completa!
