*Update: As of March 2024, this bus (and the other remaining two) are officially retired.
Since the new MCI D45 CRT LE buses went in service, they have replaced the older D4500 MCI buses, and those were taken out of service from any transbay routes. Shortly after that, AC Transit sent 3 of them down to Division 6 (Hayward), which the U will be using on a regular basis.
U has one of the weirdest configurations in terms of buses they use. There are Transbay Gillig Low Floor buses available to be used in Division 6, but AC Transit does not like to use them and put them on local routes instead. Rather, they decided to use local Gilligs, these 3 old MCIs, and 2 new MCI D45 CRT LE.
Get your rides on these older MCIs before they are all gone!

from what i've seen, they are running them on route 620, 625, and 628 (school routes) which are on the same block schedule as some U trips

yep, they are all in Hayward territory, although some new MCIs recently came and do the U as well

D6 is super picky on buses they use. They don’t even use artics on the 97 or 99, which sucks

I didn't know ac transit goes to Stanford college I did saw the stop but I didn't know that it's commuter route
