Malcom was so caught up in the cleverness of his own business scheme he never really realized what a special thing he had on his hands. A band like the Pistols comes along once every twenty years, tops. We're not gonna have another.
I think everyone should be able to buy version available to be mixed in home of ANY album, like they do, so you could try everything yourself, have fun with mixer and be sure to hear ANY track.
Malcolm was the so-called manager of the Dolls very very shortly in 1975, basically for one show (the Red Patent Leather Live show), and then the Dolls broke up.....
Yeah in the Filth and the Fury there's a great bit where Cook says something like "Malcolm was so obsessed with his fucking media circus but he just didn't realise we were a great band". Which is very true.
Never Mind The Bollocks is definitely a classic and iconic album. I'm a huge fan of the Beatles, Dylan, Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, The Doors, Love, Velvet Underground, Jimi Hendrix, Simon and Garfunkel, The Byrds, Them, Donovan, David Bowie, Traffic, The Smiths, The Stone Roses and i love what the Sex Pistols done with their 1 and only album (Great Rock-'n'-roll Swindle is not a genuine Pistols album) they made a genuine classic album.
Not accidental. Great Band. Intelligent Band. Introduced a new genre. 4 terrific chaps (even Glen) + Sid. N.M.T.B. is on par with The Velvet Underground's debut. When they came into my orbit in 1976 they changed my thinking. They're 1 or 2 years older than me. It's like playground hierarchy and they managed to piss off all the old school they and us were fed up with. Oh yeah, Johnny was the leader.
They came, they saw, they conquered, and they were done, just like that. Quite possibly, this is one of the top 10 rock albums of all time! Their influence lives on today.
I love the fact that the priest died the day after Jon was trying out for his school choir 🤣🤣🤣, But got love the way Malcolm is speaking in such an Elegant way when in fact he was trying to make the band a failure.
yeh but every1 new that pete townshend wrote all the music! with the pistols although every1 ses dat glen wrote all the music were still in the dark on exactly hu it was coz dey all sed it was johnnys lyrics and steves music
When I first heard them I just thought it was awful but something appealed to me that I started loving it this strange thing of being so awful it's totally great almost genius because that's truly art
yea, did you know he lived in L.A. during the 80's and grew his hair really long and rode his Harley around the Sunset Strip and played with the metal hairbands for a while... check out how he looked in Iggy Pop's 1988 "Cold Metal" video...

Greatest band ever. 1 album is all it took to start a new culture and way of thinking. That's impact by definition!

Yeah but it means every clown would inundate youtube with a billion mixes of a song. Like ...uum in the days of Frankie Goes To Hollywood '84.
Greatest punk band of all time

Superb: It is not easy for everyone to be at the apex of their fame and influence in their particular genre and era.

So, ABBA helped the Pistols generate some momentum at the beginning?
