- Disaster relief is pouring into Turkey and Syria from around the globe as the death toll rises from Monday's devastating earthquake. CBS News anchors Lana Zak and Errol Barnett spoke with Derya Kalender, the senior HR officer for the Human Appeal Charity, which is providing food, water and medical aid amid the crisis, about the greatest needs.

That's one lucky family that got saved. Thank god some light in this darkness. Gonna be a long hard road to recovery. So many disasters, people already forgot about auckland floods in my country, and now we have a cyclone bearing down on same areas. We must all be compassionate and show great generosity of spirit to survive as a species. God bless us all. Condolences to the departed,and their families in Turkiye and Syria.

Exactly my thoughts.
Because people like you will complain about foreign aid to Turkey just as much as you complain about aid to Ukraine.
Even tho for Greeks, Turks are their natural enemy, they were the first who sent help to Turkey, not so America. America needs to let its grudge against the Assad Regime in Syria rest a while and send help to Syria and Syrians bury your pride and also ask for international help. There are situations where one has to help the enemy, and as well accept help from the enemy, because civilians buried under the rubble are never the enemy.
America has sent assistance.
Why should America be expected to save the world?.our citizens are being taxed to death to send all.our hard earned money everywhere else in the world instead of taking care of our own people.

@@apollonia6656 No, we didn't curse anyone and believe me, our pain is great so we didn't even have time to think about them. We are grateful and even owe a lot to the rescue team from your country. Please do some more research. There were two 7.8 magnitude earthquakes in a row, causing devastation in an area the size of England.(sorry translate )

Простий народ Туреччини вочевидь жилв не дуже то й заможно. А тепер стануть іще біднішими. Сподіваюся цим людям нададуть тимчасове, а згодом і нове власне житло, хто б не переміг на виборах.
