Welcome to the bright side Jamie😜 E-bike’s are fantastic in my opinion. They really do open everything up for you. You’ve gotten yourself a cracking bike there too, and relatively rare on the trails around here as well👌
I bought my Haibike Nduro6 at the end of last summer and it's the best thing I have done for a while. I chucked cycling due to a dodgy knee but this has allowed me to get back in the saddle and now I have a tow bar and bike rack I can explore a bit further afield this summer. Don't feel bad I fell off my ebike first ride out also so no shame there in my eyes. I wish I lived where I grew up these days as I hear Tarland 2 is awesome but as I go back to visit friends regularly I will be trying it out soon and maybe I might emulate Andrew and bump into the King as I want to ride into Loch Muick and explore Balmoral again as I did growing up, on foot though..
Excellent to see you got yourself an ebike, had mine 4 years - have been on some great trails across Scotland and on big bike days out. One of life's greatest pleasures - a new bike! 😂, sometimes look at Wardell way and think that would be easy then see slate and tight corners and think nah! well ridden across the Golfie enjoyed video cheers Jamie! 😁🤙
Nice new bike, was very close to buying one a few weeks ago but never bothered in the end, was a bit worried it would become my only bike if u know what I mean. Never seen the Golfie so quiet, was there anyone else out?
Congratulations on the new ebike, I had mine up there the other week and was shocked at the arm pump from 3 laps, definitely the extra weight to haul about. Hardest thing I feel is passing people on the ups, the uncomfortable “excuse me”, “on your left” 😂
Based on the folk I ride with in the Valley, those who bought a full-fat enduro have pretty much stopped riding their old enduro bikes. I went for an SL instead, and still ride my other bikes.
Love the sense of exploration and adventure that it encouraged, even on the first ride. I’m always so nervous of running out of energy, taking a wrong descent with a big climb needed to correct the error. Seems to completely eliminate that battery permitting off course. Great edit pal. And from a technical perspective, the footage in the dark sections looks incredible. Not sure how you managed that, looks as good as it does in the open! I doth my cap once more
Cheers buddy. Yup, the exploration aspect is brilliant. For the camera, check out GoPro labs. You can download firmware that allows you to adjust something called the maximum shutter angle. It means the stabilisation nevers turns off. The downside is sometimes the footage gets so dark you can't watch it. I also filmed this one at 24fps to eek every bit of light onto the sensor.
@@streetpigeonmtb thank you for the pro tips!! I need to give that a try. Did you compensate with the EV COMP at all to counteract or deal with it in editing?
Welcome to the dark side Jamie 😉 Such a great tool for getting more riding in in the time you have available. I can thoroughly recommend giving it a go on some jumps. It took me far too long to discover how good e-bikes are in the air 👍 Looking forward to seeing you put the Tazer through its paces in the future.
Knackered just watching that! Went leccy during covid and it got me back into riding after decades away (late 80s / early 90s in Glentress before it was famous! :D When I lived in Devon, imagine my surprise when my workmates said they were going up to Glentress for the weekend. Wah??? I had no idea it was one of the best centers in the country!) Just wish I knew where I was going! :D But it does make the ride up to the mast at Dunslair Heights fun, and achievable for a fat git! And is it cheating? Meh - I'm getting more exercise than I was getting not going out so.... But think I'd die impailed in a tree if I did Inners
Ha ha! I'm a big fan of Glentress. I think it's underrated, especially some of the off-piste stuff. Deffo get to Inners... Just don't impale yourself 🙈😬🤣
Funny how people seems to need to justify why they bought an ebike 😂. Just enjoy the ride, sod the haters mate. Trails look awesome ,perfect for an ebike 👌
Bike looks cracking! You know my opinions on the Shimano motors, here's hoping yours will last longer 🙈😂 What's your thoughts on the TRP brakes? Never heard anything from an unsponsored rider about them...
My Ebike is the best thing I have ever bought. It allows me to have as much fun as possible with the limited time I have available each week. The biggest issue I have is if it comes to serious hike a bike on a longer day out, the weight of an ebike becomes an issue for me. Enjoy.
I think it's better to think of an ebike as just an assist. At the end of the day it's still a Mountain Bike. I'd definitely have one if the pennies allowed it.
Welcome to the bright side Jamie😜

Cheers pal. Yeah it's a fantastic piece of kit. Cool to finally own an Intense as well - a fan favourite from my youth! 👌
Loved the alternative way down buddy, may have to try that!
Yeah, it makes a difference. Variety is the spice of life and all that!
You had me convinced at the word 'fun'. Looks mega. Enjoy!
Cheers. It was a great first outing 👌
Nice video Jamie. I bought an e-bike in October and I've only ridden it three times so far. Roll on better weather and lighter nights.
Hope you get out a bit more when the weather improves. I can't keep off mine at the moment, however the clean up is a pain!

That's brilliant mate. So pleased you are back in the saddle 👌
Great video Jamie boy, I'm so glad you have seen the light. the future looks bright Jamie. 😎
Great to have this alongside the other bikes 👌
Stunning bike. Ebikes have been a game changer for me. Can just get so much riding done. Im out 3 to 4 times a week instead of 1 to 2. Enjoy it mate
Cheers bud 👌
Great riding mate! Really enjoyed this vid! Some of my fav trails! 👍🤙
Cheers pal 👍

Cheers man. Wardell's Way is really good mate. I can highly recommend 👌
Nice new bike, was very close to buying one a few weeks ago but never bothered in the end, was a bit worried it would become my only bike if u know what I mean. Never seen the Golfie so quiet, was there anyone else out?
Didn't see a soul mate! Yeah, if you get an eeb you'd have to be disciplined to keep riding the normal bike 👌
Congratulations on the new ebike, I had mine up there the other week and was shocked at the arm pump from 3 laps, definitely the extra weight to haul about.
Hardest thing I feel is passing people on the ups, the uncomfortable “excuse me”, “on your left” 😂
Ha ha. You are right! I feel the shame when I do that 🤣
Excellent vid Mate. New bike looks mega 👍
Thanks fella. Definitely enjoying it 👍
Tazer gang!
Good to see some actual videos on it, Not much about, Will need to get up the Golfie on mine!
Yeah, I noticed that before I bought the bike. It was hard to find much out there. Deffo get to the Golfie. So many good trails!
@@streetpigeonmtb Yeah definitely on the cards for sometime soon instead go my go to haunt up at Laggan
@ZSJamie nice. I still need to check out the off piste up there!
+1 😂 got the carbon MX pro, what a bike. Hopefully see you guys on the trails, if it ever stops raining 😏
Nice!
lovely video as always!
Thanks buddy 👍

@br5380 you can hold me to that! 😬😁

Nope. All the magic is done through the shutter speed, max iso and of course setting the correct white balance 👌
@@streetpigeonmtb 🤯 😂

@@streetpigeonmtb make eco your friend😉. That long grassy descent looks a good climb challenge 👍
@dazbbgful Yeah, eco is pretty good. Was playing with it a bit more today 👍
Fuck eco, turbo all the way 🤟🤣🤣
@ab_mtb 🤣 It's too much power for mate. Deffo think eco and trail gets me decent climbing and distance 👌
That first off was painful to watch! For the bike of course😂 It’s gonna happen some time, may as well get it out the way!
I couldn't believe it 🤣 Felt like such a muppet. At least the riding improved afterwards 👌😁🤣
This is why I love your content. Us mere mortals can truly relate. More of the same pal👍
@rjw1974 always buddy 👍
First crash out the way, you can just send it now 🤙😂
Yeah. Thought I should get the crash done early 🤣

The brakes are really, really nice. Similar feel to Formula and Shimano with bags of power (once they've bedded in 😬) 👌
When was this vid made because the conditions look prime.
Two or three weeks ago buddy 👍
Great vid dude . Iv not got an ebike but that's coz I'm a very poor mtb rider lol. Nice bike bro tho n awesome trails bruv .Oh n Ps Timberrrrrr. 😂😂😂😂😎
🤣 Cheers brother!
@@streetpigeonmtb yw n nps lil bro
@DizRidesMtb 😁😁😁
Nice bike, we going to see you at E24?
Hmm. I have thought about it but races scare me 😬🤣
@@streetpigeonmtb It's way more chilled than a normal race, highly recommended
@Mtnboarder never say never 🤪
Would you race the e-bike? Seems to be growing in popularity.
I'm not sure, but only because I'm not that into racing. If I did race I think I'd prefer to give it a go on the eeb though 👍
More runs in less time = win if you only have a short amount of time to ride 👌
This is why I got my ebike, when it’s 2h there and back the ebike halves the ride time!
For sure. Saying that I think I'm staying out longer on this thing now 🤣 So addictive!
@mtb-mania Yup. Incredible things!

I think it's better to think of an ebike as just an assist. At the end of the day it's still a Mountain Bike. I'd definitely have one if the pennies allowed it.
For sure. I'm really enjoying it 👍
