It was our first trip to Meghalaya, one of the seven sister states in northeast India. I came to know about Garden of Caves from our driver for the entire trip to Meghalaya. I was not aware of the “Garden of Caves” in Meghalaya. Although I did quite a research months before finalising but yet I hadn’t seen “Garden of Caves”, or “Bri Ki Synrang” as called by locals, anywhere on the internet. The Garden of Caves in Sohra is this fantastic trail that leads you through a landscape of green forest, small open caves, springs, waterfalls & streams. I didn’t exactly expect so much in one area. The place is well kept and clean. The tickets are minimally priced with volunteers guiding you from various points at the trail making it your own unique experience rather than the space being shown as a guided tour. The stone paths and stairways are well laid out and caves lit. I was impressed and shall look forward to visiting this stunning nature trail again. Must visit place in Cherrapunji.
