I have visited Meghalaya many many times and seen it evolve over the years. Back in 1990s, Shillong had an unmatched charm something which you will not find now. But still, Meghalaya in monsoons is beautiful. You have gone to Meghalaya a bit early. Best time is after Mid July when it has already rained there for a few days. 7 sister falls and Nohkalikai looks stunning around that time. Only one thing needs to be kept in mind. Plan your trip with cushion of a couple of extra days as at times the rainfall can be so heavy that going out can be tough. If you can afford some extra days , then you will fall in love with Meghalaya.
