We came close to it over the Christmas week too, virtually no wind or solar were generated for a week due to weather conditions and we were only saved only by foreign imports. Our energy policy is rubbish and worse still looking ahead. Watch all the politicians running away from culpability when shortages happen as they look for other scapegoats.
Over the last 3 months we been lucky to have the Gas power stations still online. Without which (including today) the UK would have next to no power generation at all and we would be in the dark ages.

We had that in Britain in the 70's. For us kids it was exciting. Heating was from paraffin or coal fires. Candles were in short supply and so was food. My father used to come home early from work early as industry was cut.
Yes , that is pretty much the plan of the marxists that run a lot of Western institutions now. Destroy Western economies and civilisations , as you see happening across the West
I reckon we should have a forced week of electricity power by renewables only and no driving on the roads with fossil fuel vehicles. It'll show them the country can't cope.

Thats and Increase in Energy Usage of 20%. Carbon same 20%, Polution same 20%. Same is happening in the NHS Demand is Greater than the Service. To manage a 20% Increase in population. You need to Build 20 New Hospital for Every 100 in the UK. Just to Maintain the Service to 2012 Levels. Simple Basic Maths and Common Sense.
Wind power is centuries out of date and the wind farms in the United Kingdom and other countries are a colossal waste of taxpayers money and resources. Solar panels are only economical as a supplement in sunny areas between the 35th parallels. Even in favourable areas there is a major mismatch between peak supply and peak demand. We are in a geological ice age at a time of minimal glaciation. Both the current mean annual surface temperature of Earth and the current atmospheric carbon dioxide level are suboptimal. Many Western countries are basing energy policy upon ridiculous popular delusions with skyrocketing costs, blackouts and deindustrialisation.
There's a recent scientific paper called "Occurrence of heavy precipitation influenced by solar wind high-speed streams through vertical atmospheric coupling" in Frontier of Astronomy and Space Science . This paper describes a mechanism how the solar wind from the Sun can increase rainfall globally. It may be a coincidence but the Sun is going through a Solar Maximum with increased solar wind activity at the moment.
Yet they research reflecting heat back into the atmosphere and reducing cloud cover over solar farms....! 175,000 flights per annum over the Americas spraying a salt to reduce temperature.
Your energy bill are increasing for a reason, and that's because the WEF, via your government, want you to ration yourselves. That way they don't have to produce so much power from their 'renewables'. You are being trained to use less, so don't live in hope that your bills will reduce in the future, from all that 'free' energy. Australia is going through the same process.
The costly (heavily taxpayer subsidised) and largely useless windmills will soon end up in landfill. Ridiculous popular delusions have been allowed to take precedence over critical thinking and common sense by weak and corrupt politicians.

The 100 mile an hour wind has made it worse. There was apparently an arsonist. And despite the fact that they did have rain previously it wasn’t captured to a great extent
Dont forget they take the lower figures from the 1800's , to what we see now , when we were just coming out of the coldest period in the previous 10,000 years . Before the 1800's the temperature were up and down a bit , but warmer than they are today .

No, its actually thanks to Theresa May and Cameron who sanctioned stopping our storage capacity. We have a glut in gas (well big energy do) and they send it through the pipelines in the summer to Europe.... and their lies our problem. 30 years of failed political nonsense.
-3 this morning … warming up? 😂😂
-7 where I am
We came close to it over the Christmas week too, virtually no wind or solar were generated for a week due to weather conditions and we were only saved only by foreign imports. Our energy policy is rubbish and worse still looking ahead. Watch all the politicians running away from culpability when shortages happen as they look for other scapegoats.
Net zero, the next biggest money making scam after the last one 'cough cough'
Worldwide, over 10 trillion dollars have already been wasted on the folly of climate action. It is the biggest fraud in history.
The biggest fraud in history.
If needs to be urgently abandoned.
VOTE REFORM VOTE REFORM VOTE REFORM IT'S OUR ONLY CHANCE.
No sun, no wind, no gas equals cold blackouts.
We should forget net zero and live .
Over the last 3 months we been lucky to have the Gas power stations still online. Without which (including today) the UK would have next to no power generation at all and we would be in the dark ages.
We are becoming like the old Communust Block countries...those countries where there isn't enough energy and people only have electricity for a couple of hours a day. Just another misery from our Government.
There will be plenty for our glorious leaders!
I reckon we should have a forced week of electricity power by renewables only and no driving on the roads with fossil fuel vehicles. It'll show them the country can't cope.
Net CRAP !!!!!!
USA fire is arson
Also green policies and lack of Maintenance and debris clearance green policies belong in nature reserves not housing estates
As Katie Hopkins said a bearded bloke with a blow torch
It must be, otherwise there would be forest fires in other parts of the world, especially in warmer climates than that of LA, it's their winter too
Politicians would have to be categorised as Educationally sub normal not to see the danger. This is deliberate and pernicious.
Definately fossil fuels lifted people out of poverty.
@@shinelight727 and liberated CO2 to a CO2 defficient atmosphere!
The United Nations has been infiltrated by climate activists and numerous Western politicians are also colluding with climate hysteria.
Story of the UK. Let in 10 Million to the Country without the Infrastructure in Place then Panic to Build 1.5 Million House. 10 Million Extra People that Need Energy.
All the while shedding hospital beds and building no more reservoirs or larger sewers. Loons absolute loons.
None of them have any COMMON SENCE.
Very true.
As I type this 😮wind 8.5% of our energy needs solar zero 😳
Wind power is centuries out of date and the wind farms in the United Kingdom and other countries are a colossal waste of taxpayers money and resources. Solar panels are only economical as a supplement in sunny areas between the 35th parallels. Even in favourable areas there is a major mismatch between peak supply and peak demand. They make no economic sense in cloudy upper latitude areas such as the United Kingdom.
The UK government is misappropriating massive amounts of taxpayers money and resources into uneconomical and unreliable renewable energy projects.
People need to wake up and vote in more responsible leaders.
When your lights go out thank Ed Miliband.
We had the coldest summer for years
India is 100% away from net zero.
In the early 1990’s I was told by an estate agent that everyone will be wanting north facing back gardens by 2000 due to global warming! everyone gets on the bandwagon to push their agenda. She was trying to sell me a house with north facing rear garden.
they also said UK will be a main exporter of tropical fruit 😂
The Uk is to small to make a difference
We’re cold and damp, global warming, have I blinked and missed it?
Never thought I’d agree with Trump on ANYTHING,but on dig dig dig, frack frack frack,I’m 100% behind him ❤
A lot of Trump supporters don't agree with him on some subjects . He is hyperbolic in the way he talks sometimes , but he is also correct in many things he says . Connected to the green scam , he warned the Germans about relying on Russian energy and they laughed at him . He warned Newsom in 2019 about the state of LA regarding the current fires .
FRacking is disgusting
Stop
Using thousands of litres of out water table
Wake up
@BelleLothbrok Bollocks, I take it you’d rather the Milliband bury our beautiful countryside under turbines and pylons, buying the steel from China and the gas from who knows where …use OUR resources for God sake instead of virtue signalling along with the rest of the netzero clowns!
@BelleLothbrokfbd the pompus , snaiting net z belived wk td who loves commnisn and marx anti brt gv
Let's face it , the government does not know what it is doing . The ministers are totally out of their depth .
They do know,
Gas powered power stations are shut down most of the time so obviously cost millions to get back up on line ,
This is where your smart meters come into play. Fortunately, I didn't fall for it
they have arrested someone in LA for setting the fires
A petrol station mabye fuels up to 100 mabye more cars per day can you imagine the queues and the amount of space all over the country you would need to charge electric cars vans lorry's any motor vehicle and the amount of power needed i think we are never going to manage this it's not been thought out right and it's nonsense to think everything can run on electricity
My local petrol station serves approx 700 vehicles a day according to the boss.
@KiwiWife-s1s just goes to show how much space needed power needed and the queue's would be a nightmare
Also they have Reduced the Temperatures of the Past by about 4 degrees to make Todays Temps Look Hotter .......the 1930s were Warmer than today but now on their Grafts are colder
And 2,000 years ago it was much hotter, but their graphs ‘show’ otherwise.
That's extremely worrying. I do so hope they can keep the (free) electricity going for the millions of doctors and engineers who have arrived in the recent years on dinghies. The poor things.
Milliband really is mad .
😡😡😡😡
And how much energy will be required to charge millions of electric cars?....
And all the heat pumps. Good job we have clever people in charge who have thought all of this through.
back to the stone age ,
sorry ,
i mean the ice age
We are in a geological ice age at a time of minimal glaciation. Both the current mean annual surface temperature of Earth and the current atmospheric carbon dioxide level are suboptimal.
Many Western countries are basing energy policy upon ridiculous popular delusions with skyrocketing costs, blackouts and deindustrialisation.
Gas reserves running low apparently - shame they decided to change over to gas power stations and close all the coal ones.
The only carbon they want to get rid off it’s you 😂😂😂
There's a recent scientific paper called "Occurrence of heavy precipitation influenced by solar wind high-speed streams through vertical atmospheric coupling" in Frontier of Astronomy and Space Science .
Why does millivolt always look so gormless.
So energy bills going up because of net zero & heading towards a recession. Is this the change Starmer keeps saying people voted for!
Average global temperature's haven't gone up for the last 7 years
I have said it before, take the credit card off milly
The UK is finished
I live abroad and so many people keep asking me, what’s happening to the UK.
At this moment (1550) our >11000 windmills are producing 9% of our electricity. We are reliant on other countries for 14.7%
The costly (heavily taxpayer subsidised) and largely useless windmills will soon end up in landfill. Ridiculous popular delusions have been allowed to take precedence over critical thinking and common sense by weak and corrupt politicians.
0.7%
Yes and that is of the Man Made CO2 which is about 0.5% and the Rest is Natural
i work for a contractor that brings in massive oil tanker's into exxon in the uk we bring in 100.000 tonnes of oil ever other day ????
By the way Alex you are looking radiant today ....... i LOVE everything you stand for
Thet need to put back the trees???
Far too sensible a comment 😂😂😂 the morons in government would not understand what you mean 😂
Our atmosphere is 0.04% CO2 of which 90% is created by natural occurrences.
So few know this its frightening. At least one process/occurrence is little understood.
The reason for the WEF coup against Truss wasn't her tax changes (which upset the BoE scams) but the fact she was going to allow Fracking.
We need sensible people in parliament, is this too much to ask
@@dominiclane8538 keep on drinking the far-right cool aid. You will recover 😉
Why would anyone follow a lead that results in bankruptcy?
I live in Australia and we have really bad bush fires and a lot of the times it's arsonists
Anything China makes for the UK and ships around the world MUST be added to our overall emissions totals. The carbon footprint they burn to get goods to us must surely be taken into account.
Britain already emitted lots of Carbon during the Industrial revolution
@Jonnyshoot192 😇
And we have no right to try to stop other countries developing.
Our utility's are the most expensive in Europe
Alex, today I received an email from National Grid, guess what the subject was, power cuts
Pitch forks at the ready. 😊
Stop paying all your energy bills until we get a Net Zero referendum.
Scotland is 0.10 of the UK 1 % global emissions.
There is 200+ years of coal under the Irish sea.
The cost of gas power needs to be decoupled from the costs of renewables
The 100 mile an hour wind has made it worse. There was apparently an arsonist. And despite the fact that they did have rain previously it wasn’t captured to a great extent
1% in 350 years of Industrial Revolution!
Dont forget they take the lower figures from the 1800's , to what we see now , when we were just coming out of the coldest period in the previous 10,000 years . Before the 1800's the temperature were up and down a bit , but warmer than they are today .
It doesn't matter to the politicians who get multiple handouts - sorry "expenses" - for their fuel bills from the tax payer.
The best way to tackle climate change is to fly to other countries and have meetings. 🙃🙃
.8% ! Wish I’d bought shares in Connah’s Quay power station, now !
Any blackouts zero taxes furthermore every mp gets a no confidence vote
At least in the 70's blackouts we had a coal fire and my dad had camping lights and a two ring gas stove! House I'm in now is all electric!
Back to Labour in the 70's then, only difference is that this time the 3 day week is getting them in to work out of the 5 days, as they go on strike being asked to work.
