You inspire me to want to work with paint like this. Once I get unpacked and make room in my piano room I'm going to buy some paints. I love acrylics and water colors and want to try encaustic too. It's been years and now that I'm retired I can have fun with this. So relaxing!
Hi Gina, thank you for your tutorial I found it very helpful. I did my very first pour, trying to replicate your peacock feather, and I am very satisfied with it. I appreciate your very clear information and instructions. The reasoning behind why you do what you do was very helpful.
Gina, AMAZING!! That is so Delicious! Those are colors that I love. Your explanations and experiments are SO COOL. You really inspire me. I am so new to all this, but I am deeply drawn into the abyss of glorious paints. You send a beam of clarity. THANK YOU. Huggles always 👩🎨🎨🖌🍀🌷💖🦓🇺🇸 Liz
It may not be exactly what you expected when you started out, but it is very very pretty. I love these colors and I love watching you manipulating them. Be blessed!
Thanks once again for the very useful information. this is one of the best metallics I’ve seen. I’m in UK so can’t get the same products you use but I’ll give this one a try. Please carry on posting more videos, I love your work. ❤️. 👍. 🇬🇧
Omg, stunning! But, I gotta tell ya, I think I just watched the worlds longest commercial. It may have actually been 5 min for the purple mattress protector. Just for you, sister😂👍🏼 Love your work, and the way you teach💕
Beautiful work. I learn a lot from you. I like your style. I will buy my art supply from Amazon under your name. You deserve it! Keep up with the good work. Thank you.
I really like it. Leaving the 2 corners as black negative space would have been great too. I kept telling you to leave them so you could keep your veining but I guess you could not hear me. Hehe!
negative space sets off the painting i think. so beautiful before tilting. i don't know why most think the paint needs to cover the whole canvas, can put down a wet layer of one of the colors you used in the pour. the black was stunning. stop tilting. put paints in cup heaviest to lightest for cells. when flipped the heavy will sink and pop up the lighter colors. still a beautiful painting!
Thank you Gina for all the Painting and experiments you do... they are very informative. I am gathering all the materials I need to start this art form, and wondering what paint you use for your 'base' coatings? House paint? Or do you just use Liquitex Basics, or Artist's Loft, etc... and mix large quantities? Thanks again for your hard work, and valuable information! AL
...sorry to be asking all these questions Gina, but, do you use the Acrylic Flow as a stand alone product for a base coat, or do you adjust consistency with Floetrol, or water, and/or add any paint to it? (I went and bought some white Acrylic Flow, but I will probably need to get some black as well... I like the black negative space effect). Also, in one of your videos you mention a chart to determine how much paint to use, base on the size of the canvas, but I don't use Facebook...
OMG…video #1!! Wow…how far you’ve come!! You’ve adjusted the way you add silicone right? I just want to say that I watch your consistency video #278 all the time!
I'm in the process of getting stuff up on my website. There are a few pours on Spreesy but I'm transitioning to GinaDeLuca.net. Generally, for pours, my pieces are $.50/sq in. If there is a piece you're interested in, let me know and I'll price it for you. Lots of pictures on my Facebook page The Glassy Knoll that there aren't in videos.
Two questions....how do you determine the amount of paint needed for a canvas.......and do you ever use a retarder on the larger canvas’ to prevent the drying time?
Also, no, I haven't used a retarder. I just try to work quickly. On the really big ones (30x40 in) I make sure there is a lot of base coat and it's thinner than usual because the canvas soaks up a lot of the liquid.
Love the colors!i hope u keep edges black it looks nicer if u didn’t go over the edge but it came quite beautiful maybe u used to small a canvas. U sold the painting who am I to say anything!
I have been working mainly with Metallics since buying Artezas 36 set of Pearl's & Metallics they are such vibrant incredible colours... I cant get enough of them and bought another set! So yes I loved this one you did , ..I actually think it looks better without the piece you wanted to keep, on my phone screen it looked yellow and unbalanced the painting in my opinion.
Holy shiaat that's a shit ton of silicone in a cup of paint! Isn't that difficult to clean off prior to varnishing? (If you varnish the silicone ones) Anyway, thank you for taking the time to do the video. Your work is lovely 🌺🌴 PS: The water splash pieces are my favorite. Loving the 3D effect...
Love these colours Gina…gorgeous painting! 💗😍💗
Colors are breath taking
Thank you 😊

Turned like the finished canvas. Great colors.
That is so cool! Looking down at it reminds me of arial shots of the Great Barrier Reef. Beautiful aqua colours!
Gorgeous. Looks like an aerial photo of some magical river delta...
Thank yo for your clear explanation. You really get down to why things work and other methods don't. its so useful.
Thank you 🙏
Guess I need to start using my metallics! This one is so unusual. Thank you!

Omg. They wouldn’t let you skip it?!
Don’t you get a bit of money if I watch the commercials? That’s the only reason I watch😂
Very pretty!
Thank you!
This is the one I would like a price on Gina! It's so delectable!
This one is sold already. 😕
Beautiful work. I learn a lot from you. I like your style. I will buy my art supply from Amazon under your name. You deserve it! Keep up with the good work. Thank you.
Thank you so very much! 🙏
Very lovely.. thank you, I don"t know why I've avoided using metallic paints
They are gorgeous in a pour! Give it a whirl!
I really like it. Leaving the 2 corners as black negative space would have been great too. I kept telling you to leave them so you could keep your veining but I guess you could not hear me. Hehe!
I've shouted at the screen myself upon playback!
It is absolutely beautiful!!! Elaine Engle
I like it!!!! :)
I’m going to give it a try
Beautiful and congratulations on selling.....
Strange but beautiful.
negative space sets off the painting i think. so beautiful before tilting. i don't know why most think the paint needs to cover the whole canvas, can put down a wet layer of one of the colors you used in the pour. the black was stunning. stop tilting. put paints in cup heaviest to lightest for cells. when flipped the heavy will sink and pop up the lighter colors. still a beautiful painting!
When are you going to put this one up on your website???😀
This one sold already. Sorry!
Gina DeLuca 😥
Beautiful! What is the transparent opaque ratio or order? I'm new to this and totally confused. I really like your videos and this one especially.
Does the paint keep once mixed
Thank you Gina for all the Painting and experiments you do... they are very informative.

Usually artists loft flow for black or white.
...sorry to be asking all these questions Gina, but, do you use the Acrylic Flow as a stand alone product for a base coat,
or do you adjust consistency with Floetrol, or water, and/or add any paint to it?
(I went and bought some white Acrylic Flow, but I will probably need to get some black as well... I like the black negative space effect).
Also, in one of your videos you mention a chart to determine how much paint to use, base on the size of the canvas, but I don't use Facebook...
The chart is a jpeg and there is no way to post one here. The basecoat is mixed the same as the rest of the paints.
Wow. So beautiful. Is it done or will you need to put some kind of top coat on it?
I varnish to bring out the colors.
Is the canvas primed if so with what
Love you work Gina!
how long does it typically take for the paint to dry completely!
A piece this size takes about a day. Larger pieces, two days.
Thank you. I always wonder why some of these RUclipsrs show the mixing of the paint. You are right, I always skip through that part.
When you say 10% PM into the water do you mean Liquitex PM or Floetrol. Thanks, Gina. LOVE your pours!
??
does that mean u add 10% floetrol in regular water bottle
Very like❤❤
Can u use a hair dryer?
OMG…video #1!! Wow…how far you’ve come!! You’ve adjusted the way you add silicone right? I just want to say that I watch your consistency video #278 all the time!
Thank you! I very rarely use silicone anymore.
I have 3 'paint' shirts too. 🖌️😀
Would you mind telling me what it sold for or is it personal? I'm thinking of buying one for my mother they are her favourite colours 🤗
This one was $70
Where would I find prices for your art for sale Gina?
I'm in the process of getting stuff up on my website. There are a few pours on Spreesy but I'm transitioning to GinaDeLuca.net. Generally, for pours, my pieces are $.50/sq in. There is a chart, which I can't post here because it's a jpeg. I'll post it in my group for you facebook.com/groups/291801684683993/
Also, no, I haven't used a retarder. I just try to work quickly. On the really big ones (30x40 in) I make sure there is a lot of base coat and it's thinner than usual because the canvas soaks up a lot of the liquid.
The middle looks like a snake and a large bird butting heads, love to watch you paint. Trying to catch up on all your videos.
Thank you! 🙏 Starting at the beginning?
Wow... another fabulous pour!! Thank you for sharing. I like shorter videos. I think your more recent ones are shorter, thank you.
I've since learned how to edit. 😉😂
BLESS YOU!! You have sooo much creativity to share!! Thank you!!
Love the colors!i hope u keep edges black it looks nicer if u didn’t go over the edge but it came quite beautiful maybe u used to small a canvas. U sold the painting who am I to say anything!
The negative space was great and you would still have had the yellow and the veining.
Cleaning the silicon must be hard after adding a large amount
Some are harder to clean than others. This brand isn’t too bad.

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to do the video. Your work is lovely 🌺🌴
PS: The water splash pieces are my favorite. Loving the 3D effect...
I rarely use silicone anymore. I hate the cleanup.
