I've been watching a lot of these videos nowadays and even tried my hand at this (with the cheap materials I can find), and I must say you're my favourite pour artist. I like how you are so precise, clean and careful in your work. You prepare and plan before the painting really well, and that way you have to do minimum fiddling with the paint once its on the canvas. I think that's why you get stunning results. Learning a lot, thanks!
I love watching you, started painting at 70 that was 13 years ago. Pouring for just a short time. I have learned so much from you, Can tell you love all of your endeavors.. keep it up?
Just found your channel the other day and I love watching you make your beautiful art. I’m a fiber artist/yarn dyer now as well as a glass artist. I just love color!!! =} you mentioned the floetrol/ water squeeze bottle leaking in this video. I had the same issue when using some squeeze bottles for my dyes and I remembered something I used on leaking faucets and shower heads. I used the Teflon plumbers tape on the threads of the bottle and voila no more drips. I’m not certain if anyone else has given this tip, so I thought I’d mention it. Thanks for sharing your creations!! Take care, Wanda Garcia
OMG! I just love this! I'm so very happy that I found your channel. I'm just starting to do acrylic pouring and your videos are so informative. Thank you so so much for sharing!
I learned so much here! I didn't know you wet down your paper towel, for instance. Any idea what caused the bottom cells to be stretched compared to the top ones? It really gives a nice balance and looks organic.
GINA, thank you so much for your videos. I have been trying(unsuccessfully) to do a swipe, but never could until this video. Here is my end result, not near as good as yours, but it’s a good start for me. Thanks again!
I have the same level problem. I'm about a mile and a half to two mi. from the epicenter of the lovely little shaker we had in Alaska last fall. I got a fix for 98cent bottles. Go to the hardware store plumbing section and get the white plumbers tread tape. This trick will save your do. Hair do that is. None of us pretty enough to pull off bald spots. Lol You gave me an idea when I was watching. I got my vid camera yesterday! (Bounce bounce bounce) so as soon as I figure out how to use it I'll try my idea out and if it doesn't suck, I'll post it.
Gina there is something quite different about your pieces than most others. This one is extraordinarily beautiful! Other than just experience, can you give me an idea how much/little paint to remain on the canvas so it dries properly without cracking?
I really can't. There are so many variables. A good thing would be to use the chart that tells you how much paint to use so you start off with the right amount.
Gina you are truly unique and awesome!! Thank you for all the info. I know now what I was doing wrong..lol..swiping with the heavier paint without silicon..smh
I have to work on 2 tv tables & even tried the floor to get canvases level. Maybe the hooks will work for me. Thanks! Also hard to work in foil pan as sides are so high
Wow!!!! My fave of yours! Gina, you pour a lot. I’m curious-where do you set your many works to dry? How do you protect them from dust and all that stuff while they dry and cure?
Really beautiful! One of my favorite! I was wondering what you would recommend as the swiping tool if you are dealing with a larger canvas than the width of a paper towel?
Hey again. Can't find 100% silicone in a bottle anywhere, but I've got a box of silicone spray. I presume it makes no difference if I spray a little into a cup and take from there with a pipette a few drops and mixed to the painting. Right? Shall I in case not stir the silicone with the paint but just let it stay between the different paints in the cup before I turn it over to the canvas?
Thank you ever so much for your fine and informative videos. I have been looking all over to find latex based Floetrol which I mean you have recommend to use some time before, but I can only find water based Floetrol. Will it be a different reaction to the paint using water based compared with latex based Floetrol - and if so what will the difference be? Thanks for your answer!
Love your stuff!!! I have a question. When I tried the swipe method, I used white to swipe over primary colors, but the cells did not show up until almost 1/2 way across the canvas with the white covering too much of the canvas. Did I use too much white? Maybe too thick? I used a flexible plastic to drag the white. The part where the cells showed thru looks good. Just too much white.
What is that stuff u put on before wiping it down. Silicone? Whats the name of it

Could you please share with us the proportions of paint and silicone in that last layer of phthalo blue you used and perhaps what kind of silicone ? Very beautiful work. Thank you in advance.
that part confused me..thought there was silicone in the bottle with water and floetrol. Wasn't silicone..was coconut hair serum.. but then was it silicone in the last blue to coat?
Gina, its beautiful. I love it.
Love love love it Gina
Gina...this piece convinced my husband to let me buy paints and learn. This. Is. STUNNING.

Maybe not fire, but if hung so swipe is at bottom, it looks like a crazy sunset over water! Absolute beautiful, as always.

Love it!!! You wanted fire 🔥 and I think you got it!!!
Gina you are truly unique and awesome!! Thank you for all the info. I know now what I was doing wrong..lol..swiping with the heavier paint without silicon..smh

Gorgeous piece. Hawaii? My next vacation spot on my to do list.
Thank you 😊
Just awesome!
very pretty i love it
you are the best
Great video! Just wrap a bit of saran wrap around the threads of the leaky plastic bottle!
Amazing
Thank you! 🙏
This piece is beautiful. Did I hear you say you only put silicone in the swipe color?
love it!!!!
So, so nice. I'm jealous
The bottles you like -- what kind of bottles are they? Brand name? And where do you get them? Thanks.
owesome
hey there - how in the heck do you get a ceiling hooks in? I bought them but can't even get them to go into the wood lol
This is so beautiful. What determines the size of the cells do you think in a swipe? tia
Very effective swipe and hooks look much better idea than plastic cups.
Beautiful, do you find you get better cells when you put silicone in only the swipe color?
Wow... What a beautyful Pouring... Perfect paintmixture, perfekt work! Well done Gina... Go on! Thanks for inspiration...
beautiful...
I have to work on 2 tv tables & even tried the floor to get canvases level. Maybe the hooks will work for me. Thanks! Also hard to work in foil pan as sides are so high
Yes love it
Beautiful. Did you put silicone in your blue thinner paint, the last blue paint before you swiped?
Yes. Only in swipe paint
Wow!!!! My fave of yours! Gina, you pour a lot. I’m curious-where do you set your many works to dry? How do you protect them from dust and all that stuff while they dry and cure?
They are ALL OVER my house! 😂
I made the mistake of getting the walmart bottles and yes they are bad. Which bottles are better? Thanks
OMG!!! Love ❤️
Thank you 😊
Love your large cells! What do you use? Beautiful painting!
Really beautiful! One of my favorite! I was wondering what you would recommend as the swiping tool if you are dealing with a larger canvas than the width of a paper towel?
I'd still use paper towels, just use a new one every swipe. You could also use a piece of acetate and wipe in between swipes.
Thank you! Great hacks!

They are the same.

Did I use too much white? Maybe too thick? I used a flexible plastic to drag the white. The part where the cells showed thru looks good. Just too much white.
Probably just too much paint then.
It seems to me that you planned and worked intentionally...so gorgeous. I'm glad it turned out so well.
Beautiful colours; beautiful painting. I think you’ll need a different technique (same colours!) to make fire. Try blowing it.
I didn’t want fire exactly. Just the colors.
What is that stuff u put on before wiping it down. Silicone? Whats the name of it
