I’ve been to China many times, and been to a few temples on large hills/mountains as a tourist, the heat and the effort in climbing the steps really takes the energy from you, it’s mind boggling that places like this can be built.
yes think of the thousands of village / mountain / forest / city folk shrines and temples destroyed by the cultural revolution and other communist garbage
@@izzyizzm8761 Most cultures venerate high and large places. To the point that humans even build their own if there aren't any. If a culture stumbles upon one that's already there, they're probably going to venerate it.
This is why I love the internet. Wow! Such a cool project for people working with hand tools and strong backs. What an amazing spot for a temple, or anything. It truly feels like a palace in the sky. Thank you for these vicarious adventures for a senior with a young mind.
I'd be more inclined to climb this one than kalavantin durg. It would be scary but it doesn't look quite as sketchy. Imagine the sun rise or sun set from up there 😍
wow! straight out of 'lord of the rings'. i can't even imagine climbing up there for the first time, let alone making it to the top and thinking to myself " i want to build a house up here." ........and then those a- holes moved in next door.......
Thank you for showing these wonders! I'm early :) A true delight, I hope we will one day realise that a modern society doesn't mean a society without complexity and beautiful buildings like our ancestors made :)
It would be scary going up, but the scariest coming down. I m always amazed that the landscape actually looks like it does. Just seeing the classic paintings it seemed the views were being highly exaggerated and no place could look like a Roger Dean painting.

Couple of fascinating uploads today, thank you Matt. Wish I had a head for heights, I've as much chance of scaling Fanjingshan or Kalavantin Durg as Huayna Picchu!
As always, your presentation proves interesting; the subject matter is definitely worth the view. Not jumping to conclusions or assuming facts is a style I find enjoyable. Plus, Fanjingshan is incredible. I was completely unaware of the place before this video. Thanks, guys.
Well keep it up! One of my favorite things in life is discovering amazing new places, and lo and behold, I've stumbled across two this week thanks to you👍👍
While you are in this mode I would love to hear your input on Sigiriya in Shri lanka. That is an incredible structure on top of a megalithic rock mountain with no ancient steps.
Is this just me; or are there a perfectly mirrored, & endless set of Temples in the Mountains; (just right of this Palace); on, {the opening, & closing}; video picture?
Knowing minimal about buddhism the bridge between the temples seems to also mean the connection between the past and future, and the present is deep and wide and unable to be fully known.

Yeah I’m starting to become convinced that the annunaki really DID create the human being through genetic editing and we are basically their slaves
Imagine carrying up all the building materials to build those temples. Wow.
