現76歳の吉田博大将は長年漁師を生業としていた。
還暦になり、料理を通じてお客様に喜んでもらいたいと思うようになり、一念発起、生まれ育った場所で『魚山人』をオープンするも、、
佐賀の秘境にお客が来るはずもなく閑古鳥がなく毎日。
オープンして半年後、たまたま「ラ・ロシェル」のオーナーの坂井宏行シェフが来店。
大将が出す料理に感銘を受け、たくさんのメディアで「魚山人」の素晴らしさや吉田大将の料理に対しての姿勢、お客様への思いを話したところ、
予約が殺到！
16年経った今でも、予約が取れないお店に。
大将の吉田さんは、心筋症を患いながらも、
「お客様が喜んでもらうためにやれるまでやりますよ」とのこと。
16年間ほとんど休むことなくお客様を受け入れている。

What an amazing couple. So heartwarming. I cant believe he's 76 years old and still going up the stairs with heavy plates plus preparing the meals and driving the boat so many times each day. I love you both. Stay healthy.

数年前ですが魚山人に行くことができました。
その時はたしか1人4,000～5,000円のコースだったかと思いますが、食べきれないほどのたくさんの量がでてきて、どれも美味しく家族、親戚一同とても感動した思い出です。
ご夫婦で今も元気でやられている姿が見れて本当に良かったです。また食べに行きたいと思います。
最近、こんな元気な高齢者を見ると元気をもらうとともに、涙が出てくる、40代おっさんです。

What we have just watched is a typical day for a "LEGEND." This Chef is one of a kind. There are no other men who take their skills to this level. He is absolutely incredible. It shows in his heart, his smiles, and his hands. Watching him is like witnessing a moment in history. Bless this man and his family.
5年程前に職場の同僚8人で行かせていただきました。男8人が食べきれない程の量ので、新鮮な魚介類を色々な料理でもてなしてくれました。素晴らしい時間でした。吉田さんご病気されてたのですね。それでもお元気そうで何よりです。
大将が両手に重そうに、抱えながらご馳走を運ぶ姿が美味しそうに見えてたまらなくなるはずやのに何故か涙が溢れてきました

I once worked with a 72 years old Japanese man. His hard work and dedication inspired me to become like him. This couple here is the example of excellence in hospitality and service. Imagine going up and down the stairs with heavy trays when you’re 76, that alone should scare you or even Gordon Ramsey. Hats off to this lovely couple. You have deserved my utmost love and respect as someone who’s been in this hospitality industry for almost 15 years. May god bless you both and may you both be happy and healthy.

だいぶ前にテレビ番組で見ました。その時はまだお孫さん出ていませんでした。料理を二階おじさんが運んでいましたね。何度も何度も大変だなぁと思って見ていました。お客様の喜ぶ顔が見たいと言われ感動していました。病気してそれでも頑張っている。なんて素晴らし事か
胸が熱くなりました。お孫さんもお手伝いしてくれてよかったですね。1度は食べに行きたいお店です。

I’m exhausted just watching husband and wife toil away in the kitchen. I can imagine they loving preparing and cooking, but I keep thinking they should be enjoying traveling and relaxing. Just me!! I’m 72 and I feel every step and lifting… but again totally admire this couple!!!!!

Like another poster was saying, it's exhausting after watching this video. It's simply amazing - the chef preparing the fish, making sushi, catering people from land to his restaurant, serving them food and then boating them back to land, and not to mention his wife handling all other major chores.

高級な所も勿論良いですし、それはそれで手間がかかってます。こちらは上品じゃダメっていいよね。すぐ近くに数年昔住んでいたけど、多分まだやっていなかったと思います。本当に上品してたら食べきれないですよー。2階へ運ぶところ見ていたら、自分の家に親戚でも呼んだ感じですね。漁師だけで終わりたくないって、向上心が凄い。若い時は地域の暴れん坊で、周りを困らせたのではないの？母ちゃんも泣かせた口。そんな感じです。予約しても半年後か間に合わないかも・・。配信有難う御座います、お疲れ様です。

I was so happy to discover this video - I've actually been to Gyosanjin, back in 2014! It was a wonderful experience, both the location and boat trip there, the food of course, and the super friendly service. Back then we didn't need to book half a year in advance. It's nice to see they have a Michelin Star now, well deserved!
