(Info below is based on reviews from people who love the series and the movies)The main point of the books is family trauma and cycles of abuse and how it effects the victims of such but it does fall under dark/taboo romances there are two in the story one basically sets off the story and is actually a reveal later in the first book (I think). The other is kinda the heart of the story. I've seen the movie but have never read the books but I'm told the movies are toned down and i need to what I'm getting in to with books cus I love the movie series and wanna read the og story. Obviously your not obligated to do a review or even reply to me but i trust you above all booktubers especially when it comes to dark romance.☺ Sorry for the long reply.😊🙏
