Good see hear your feeling better Robert love your show what you do for Us elvis fans what great show keep up cool things you do for us elvis fans look forword next show take care
Good to hear your health has improved and of course, thanks for posting another excellent show!! One thing I noticed about ebay (and on facebook) is that sellers love to use the word "rare"... it's really getting ridiculous...
Hi Bob, good to hear you feel very well. This is another great video about Elvis' records! It's always a pleasur to watch and hear you talking about collecting the king! Take care!
Great to hear your feeling great again. I live in London,England so not much that you show or talk about concern me ,although I do have some nice USA records, but I just really enjoy your show and when Johnny b is on that’s really cool too. Luv the show.
Great to hear your feeling better and the pace maker is making a difference. Great show and I have a few of those promos from the 80's. Looking forward to your 31st show
Congratulations on your 30th show. I wish you would have talked about the promos with the white sticker on them listing the songs, such as 'He touched me' or 'Elvis now' or the white promo double album of 'Elvis at Madison Square Garden '. Maybe do a second show with more promos. But great show.
Thanks, Jules. I purposely avoided talknig about those promotional copies for another show. Just wanted to talk mostly about the different promo stamps. TCB.
Great show Robert. The grade I’ve noticed for a while now is “Excellent” or “Excellent, plus or minus”. Not sure if that equates to M- or VG+++ or something in between?…
Yeah. LOL. It is very vague, which makes me suspicious about the condition. Pictures don't always show everything very well. Especially the condition of vinyl.
Hi Robert, l always thought that what you call the buzz cut. Was an USA import into the U.K.? Have l got this wrong after all these years? I would like to say that l love your Collecting The King Shows. I can not believe that you are up to number 30! Glad to hear that you are feeling a lot better now! You and Carol stay safe. Ellie 🎼🎵🎶🕺🏻😃❤️👍
Interesting about the blue Moody Blue LPs. I always thought the black ones were common and the blue ones were the rarities. By the way, it was good to meet you at the Holiday Inn record show yesterday.
I have a copy of From Memphis To Vegas, From Vegas To Memphis with the gold stamp, and it is a TAN label. So the earliest would at least be 1976 that RCA started using the gold stamp. And oddly enough this version is not listed in the Presleyana price guide. Also the cover is true to the 1976 era due to the fact that the cover is of a lighter stock unlike the heavier stock as with the original release.
Also the promo records are the first to come off the press so the sound quality is better or the best you can get from a record. Promo Records have the best sound quality.
Great show as always. Loved your comments on the value of certain records. I have the black vinyl moody blue, UK, Canada and the later USA issue but not the one I need. On a side note for a future show, maybe I'm the only one that gets confused with the rigid, flexible and the one that confuses me the most the "non flexible". What the difference between rigid and non- Flexible?
Hi Robert , Paul here from New Zealand and j need your advice please. I'm moving oversea for 5 or so years , my Elvis vinyl is going into storage,I currently with each record take it out of the cover to sort out circle wear etc . Do I leave them like that and store them or put them back in their covers ? What would you recommend? Not going to hold you to it lol but I know you have been collecting longer than Elvis was alive just about and love your show and just need the benefit of your years of collecting Thanks Paul Grayson
Paul, I suggest you do whatever you feel safer with. Seperating the records is always good to do to avoid splits and damage durting shipping. But if it just for storage and there's not going to be any shipping involved, I personally would leave them in their covers. Hope that helps.
I would like to comment on the Moody Blue black vinyl ; You say it's only rare if it is an US pressing, and I agree to that point. You also said if a guy in Venuzuela is saying I got a black vinyl copy, it is defo not rare. But how about this? Maybe that guy is an avid collector, and did get to obtain an original US pressing? I'm from the Netherlands, and so I could never have an original black vinyl copy of Moody Blue?
Another great and informative show. I am glad you are feeling better.
Many Thanks from Germany
Congratulatios for your 30th episode!!! and I'm glad to know you feel better every day!!

Thanks. I believe that's a "High Grade" comment.😉
thank you Robert for all these precision, happy to see that you're getting well
My husband has a pacemaker. God Bless you.

As usual very informative video. I’m glad you are feeling better.

@@collectingtheking OK cool. I'll be looking forward to that show.
I received the 12 inch promo of Rubberneckin at Graceland as a door prize during a Elvis insiders meeting.
Wow! That's cool. Any markings saying it was from Graceland?
@@collectingtheking unfortunately no

Promos are the first off of the press making them more accurate good sounding
We'll talk. 😊

Not to my knowledge. Thanks for watching.

Same here. Thanks for watching.

Thanks Robert. Definitely need to address that crazyness in a future show, for sure.
Robert, how about promos on EP?
Hello. Maybe on a future show. Thanks!
A good title I wanna Be Free. Also those buzz cuts. Are known as “cut outs”.
Damn! That would've been perfect! 😮
@@collectingtheking I’ve also seen them described as “notched covers”.

Understood. However, I was referring to any black vinyl pressing of moody blue from another country that happened to be produced.
