I have the 32 inch 4k qd-oled from Alienware ordered. It's going to arrive on Monday, I'm really excited to try it out. I plan to pick up one of the other QD-OLED's coming out this year as well, I really like the look of the MSI one, but I'm curious how much the displays that come with display port 2.1 are going to cost. It's a really exciting year for monitors.
@@Reeeepicheep I usually agree but I just got the Alienware and it's honestly not that bad with the curve. It's no where near as bad as Samsung's 1000r curves, Those things are too much for me. The monitor is beautiful and I have no complaints so far, regarding the fan, It's quiet and don't even hear it.
Burn-in on an OLED or QD-OLED screen is a visible, faded remnant of an on-screen element that persists (stays on screen) regardless of the content on your display. A simple way to understand this is that a part of a frequently displayed image becomes permanently burnt into your monitor.
The 49 inch looks very nice but I don’t understand why these other companies are releasing the Samsung panels at a lower refresh than the Samsung oled g9.
Yeah, not really getting what’s the selling point of these 49” panels from msi and gigabyte when the G9 OLED is 240hz and priced similar with the current sale prices. These don’t seem to be any brighter either.
It is taking all my self-control to not buy the Alienware QD-OLED 4K monitor. I should wait for all of them to come out, and see how the reviewers compare them to each other. From what I understand, the burn-in mitigation strategies will be the most important difference.
Ive been using the first gen qd oled since april 2022, no noticable burn in, only on some shades of grey I can see poor uniformity but it was like that from the beginning
Yep , waiting for the w-oled reviews and comparison then will be waiting (and saving) till Black Friday. Then come black Friday I will be the guy in all the videos running over old lady's and kids to get my hands on what my choice ends up being .
Dear MSI, Asus, Dell, Samsung, LG etc. We want an OLED, maybe QD-OLED gen3 or WOLED RGWB 34-39" 3440x1440 or 5120x2160, with 240hz, and a curvature of 1500-1200R. The 800R is way too curved, feels like you've got thirty inch VR goggles on. HDMI real 2.1 and DP 2.1, passive cooling.
I know its different watching a video of the monitor rather than seeing it in person but the oled monitors look really dim in the videos. I know they are not as bright as the other technologies but did not expect it to be so noticeable by comparison. Will have to see them in person in a store when they are more readily available.
I was looking at the MSI MPG 271QRX and I wasn't sure if it was Glossy or Matte finish, after seeing it here its Glossy! Phew! Because I really can't wait to buy it and get rid of my Matte OLED!
@@FJAD94 Yea they both using the same screen from Samsung, both glossy but AW uses a fan for cooling and if it breaks your fucked whereas MSI uses heatsink so just a little quirk there.
My big question is, do these monitors make 32 inch 1440p monitors obsolete? Will they make a 32 inch 1440p QD oled at some point, or it doesn't make sense? I need 1440p for productivity and prefer it for gaming.
I mean I would say they were already kind of obsolete. You could just get a 32inch 4k monitor and get the benefit of 4k for productivity, and set the resolution to 1440p for gaming.
@@hcokiddtony After some research, the reverse is true. Upscaling a 1440p image to 4K panel degrades the image, while downscaling a 4K down to 1440p does not degrade the image unless the build quality of the panel is cheap.
Waiting for DP 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 in the same monitor with Dolby Vision, unlike this, plus KVM and USB-C display input unlike Alienware... come on HP Omen!
@joaquinarchivaldoguzmanloe1073 Thats a really hard question to answer right now, this one from MSI looks great but so does the one from Asus and I still haven't seen Samsung and Alienware, and I have videos from Innocn which they also have QD-OLED monitors coming out and they look awesome too, Im liking the new Alienware and is already available to purchase on Dells website for $1200, which is a great price.
@joaquinarchivaldoguzmanloe1073 Yes so what Im looking for is glossy screen, I don't like matte screens on oleds, so far the MSI looks glossy and same with Innocn, Asus is matte and the picture looks good but I still prefer glossy.
My monitor is a 48" LG CX and i love it, love the color and black levels when gaming

That monitor has DP 2.1?
@@ShalowRecord No it doesn’t, but there are some displays coming out later this year with dp 2.1
Curved monitors are meh

The Alien Q-Oled will have a 3 year warranty that even covers burn-in. I haven’t heard any of the other companies offer a warranty with burn-in

looking for the successor to the gen 1 qdoled ultrawide. Do you have any info about this? I was holding off buying current 34 inch qdoled thanks

well the MEG 321URX worth the wait . it's got all we need alongside DSC for those who will keep their "old" RTX40 GPU's
Hello you know when they release this MEG 321URX?
He called a 1200 dollar monitor "upper mid range" hmmm ok
In a practical sense it is true. The most premium gaming monitors are now closer to $2000
That feels pretty upper range to me.
😂😂

the part with league of legends healthbar and AI target marker is underrated:D wonder if Riot allows that

Ding dong. Just amazing 👏 🤩
Very Nice Monitors
$1000 , for qd oled , wow 😊
32" = too small. We need 40" oled with those specs.
Wow another monitor i cant afford
Bro they are making cheats on lol xD
Adding that visual information is cheating.
Not part of the game so basically AI cheats built into the monitor fucking great
What game is that lol ? FBI simulator?
Thats Alan Wake 2.
dont recommend using the AI monitor to cheat... LMAO yeah right
What.? Who.? Cheating.? 😅 I thought I edited that part out LOL, OMG Im so tired.
