I started watching you all way back when you were still in your urban homestead and you were living a very (in my opinion) realistic lifestyle. Once you guys moved to this property and said you wanted to build a home from scratch, I’ll admit I thought it was a little crazy, but it’s amazing to see how far you’ve come. You had a vision and stuck with it! I am so excited and wish you all the best in your future endeavors, even if they are too crazy for me to ever consider trying:)
Brutal one man job, well done. This is a no BS Chanel on all fronts, no fluff, straight up hard work, intelligent research/planning and logistics. All with a touch of family, friends and emotions, authentic to the core in a world that is struggling with all the above. Thanks for taking the time to post up your journey.
Nice to see I'm not the only one who has clipped the cord! That's one way to make an easy day much longer and frustrating. The house is getting there!!!
I've said this before and I'll say it again, I HOPE YOUNG MEN ARE WATCHING YOU AND SEEING HOW YOU ALWAYS STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND DO WHAT A REAL MAN SHOULD DO. HATS OFF TO WHOMEVER TAUGHT YOU HOW TO DO ALL THAT YOU DO. JAIME & THE GIRLS ARE BLESSED. YOU ARE BLESSED TOO, BECAUSE ALL THE GOOD THAT YOU DO COMES BACK TO YOU 10 FOLD! I can see what attracted you and Jaime to each other. You both are simply amazing! I am so very inspired by everything you do! Be Safe! 😊❤🙏
FYI the best thing you can do when you cut a saw cord is replace it a 20' extension cord, easier to work on a job with a longer cord on the saw than moving a extension cord around with you. Great job, house is looking good.
Thanks for showing us the attic stairs, I didn't realise it was so much work, when hubby did ours I was just thanks love, but now I have to say a big thank you for doing that.
You're amazing for a man with little previous experience as a carpenter! I remember your early days of repairing the goat shed 'till now. I watch this just to learn how to jig it, rig it and do most things single handedly!
I have watched you since you lived in the house with beautiful granite counters. I was looking for gluten free bread recipes and came across your wife’s video. I am in awe of all the changes you two have made. How you know to build, fix, imagine and complete projects is incredible! Can’t wait to see your beautiful home done. Best wishes to you and your family. 😁🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Jeremy, my husband asked what I was watching....I told him it was how to rewire a circular saw....he said it is good to always be learning new things...LOL
That was so cool. And I'm asking myself why am I watching this? I've been with you for so long I guess it's like a habit. Whether good or bad, I'm sticking with you . And I don't want to miss anything either.
You can use C-clamps to make handles to handle that OSB with... Especially "handy" for lifting it to the second floor. Also makes a place to tie a rope to, and use pulleys.
Shocking! Hippity hop, hippity hop, trip. Just when you're cruising along .... #!$@!!! I was impressed at your lifting ingenuity with those wood sheets. Awesome! ❤
Found your channel around thanksgiving, now addicted! Fun fact, I widened the top 5 stairs to 6 in , just sister on 1/2” ply. Now you won’t fall as you get older, I am 80.
For me even though the manufacturer doesn't recommend it I would have doubled the joists and headers (you could still do it) as that stairs are a stress spot with a lot of leverage as well as possible heavy loads. Once the finished ceiling is up it will be hard to do while it is dead simple now. Dragging sheet goods around is made much easier with a panel handle. I made my own out of a piece of 1 x 1 steel angle with a handle sufficient to get it to hand height when you are standing made out of whatever. I used a piece of 1/2" conduit bent in an 'L' and welded to the angle. Now you slip it under and you have a comfortable carry. Get to your saw horses hold it vertical switch the handle to the top so you can lower it down without breaking sheetrock and such. They also sell these for not much money. Saves your back for sure. Take care.
That looks awfully like my stainless colt 45. Whatever it is it’s a welcomed sight. Your build is outstanding. Thanks for letting us in on the construction 🚧
Cut cord on saw many times. When cord gets to short buy a extension cord cut off Female end and install. Works very well. Saved me lots of money on construction jobs when the Safety person red tags your saw. Usually kept a cord in my truck for those times.
I've lost count of the cut cords over the years, LOL. Good thing my husband is a whiz at electricity as well as electronics. Glad you can use your attic space! ~Cyn
Cut the cord on my Skil Saw last summer... put on 25' extension cord(very flexible, same gauge).. minus female end of course, and real like it... doesn't catch on the plug when moving around... Great Job, keep up the good work!!!!
Been watching a while, not much for comments but My 2 Cents, I'm really glad You hired Pros that helped frame out and get some really nice dried in space for you to work Your Magic. Take Your time do what ever it takes, Place is going to be the envy of many, including Myself, nice Job! BTW, Jaime Art is to die for, I'm a shop'n, Talent like that, needs to be shown, I have a Puppy I might need some Brush on Canvas Magic as well, Beautiful Work.
Hey good afternoon, Great process of getting that sheet of goods up where you needed it. Fairly safe as well. Good job. I was not able to figure out the 2x4 and bucket until you started the process of putting the sheet in the attic. Good job. You are most likely used to working by yourself.
I'm glad the joist spacing had you move the attic stairs over by one bay...happy accident, because I think you would have regretted having your pull down stairs that close to that room's doorway. Nice work, and good use of your scrap OSB.
I LOATHED the stupid rope that hung down our main hallway in our gorgeous house. I found a beautiful decorative pull down hardware $20 that attaches that comes with a pull down stick that hangs in our closet when we want to open it. So much prettier.
You might want to double check your span chart for the max span for the ceiling joists you now made into floor joist. My guess is they are not going to support the loads you will be adding to them as you use your NEW STORAGE AREA.
I LOVED the building tips and videography. Thank you! More important to my current needs though, the rewiring of the circular saw!!!! I have a decent slice through mine and it was on my to-do list to learn how to do. Perfect timing (how did you know lol) and so helpful! Awesome time WELL SPENT. 😊
I sure wish we had an attic! When we built our homestead we used 'room in attic' trusses for speed, and our attic above that is only about 4' tall. All of our 'stuff' is now across the street in our machine shed.
Loving the progress on the house! Would like to suggest an upgrade to your audio recording arrangement. Your soft spoken manner, which I enjoy, is okay outside but kinda gets lost indoors. Just my two cents. Keep up the great work sir!
I was wondering what you were doing with that bucket and the 2x4... ha ha Nice job on the stairs, this is one of those measure twice and cut once kind of jobs.
Great job , n yes my saying ALWAYS "WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY " 4 ABOUT THE PASSED 70 YEARS. !!! U DESERVE A BIG PAT ON THE BACK FOR A JOB WELL DONE !!! PS. WHERE US EVERYONE ELSE IN THE FAMILY AT...CHEERING U ON I HOPE AT LEAST !!!??? TAKE CARE N SAY HI TO ALL

Thank you Jeremy and Jaime for taking us all on this adventure. I love it. Love to you. the kids and the chickens. -E

🙏🏻 Thanks for hanging out with us!
Nice to see I'm not the only one who has clipped the cord! That's one way to make an easy day much longer and frustrating.
The house is getting there!!!
I love that cocked and locked auto !
I don't think people know how hard it to lift that OSB. You are a man with muscle.
It’s just awkward and gets more difficult in the wind.
Jeremy.. your moving right along there on the build. Continue to be safe an well you Jamie and the girls.

Great tip. Would never have thought of it. Thanks 😊

Love how you used what was available (such as a shop creeper) to get the wood where you needed it. Reminds me of my husband and I doing things.

5:43 ...that muzzle flash😉, .....love the” adapt, improvise& overcome” attitude 👍🏼👍🏼
One hell of a work out!! Whew! Forever young.....
Watching your method of getting the OSB up made one thing come to mind. IMPROVISE ADAPT OVERCOME!!
You guys have really stepped up your game! Awesome steady and quality content! Keep up the Great Work!
What an inspiration you are and a testimony to what can be accomplished when you commit to seeing something through. Props👍🏼
I appreciate that!
Holy cow! You really can do anything!
Humming a tune and working away. Must have been a Good Back day. :o)
Great Job. Going to be a very comfortable house‼️ Nice Design‼️‼️. Vinny 🇺🇸
I did the same thing with my circular saw. I now have a saw with a 2-foot cord, I think you're a little more resourceful than I am.
I loved the ingenuity used in the beginning of this video! Well done! 👏🏼 you are making great progress.
You can use C-clamps to make handles to handle that OSB with... Especially "handy" for lifting it to the second floor. Also makes a place to tie a rope to, and use pulleys.
Where there's a will, there's a way! I appreciate your work ethic!
I kept saying to myself he’s gonna cut that cord with that saw. Glad you got it fixed. The house is looking good.
Jaime, Your man has SKILLS for a city kid.
Yes he does...but he is not a city kid. Neither of us are 😉
My husband and I cracked up when you said odoyle rules!😂😂😂 My husband was like, "yup. I like this guy."
Your home is going to be lovely.
Keep the good stuff coming thanks
Nice job Mr. Goldberg.
Shocking! Hippity hop, hippity hop, trip. Just when you're cruising along .... #!$@!!! I was impressed at your lifting ingenuity with those wood sheets. Awesome! ❤
that was really cool to watch you fixing the saw wire. great work!

Always a good idea to double up on those cross braces.
That looks awfully like my stainless colt 45. Whatever it is it’s a welcomed sight. Your build is outstanding. Thanks for letting us in on the construction 🚧
Neatly done, and lots of progress.
Got to love a man that provides storage space!!! ;-) TY
Those look exactly like the attic stairs I had installed in my attic! I also loved that you fixed your saw!
Your hard work is going to pay off. It's looking great!!!
Good work Jeremy.
Fixing the saw reminded me of your 'how-to' videos back at your old place.
And you can turn the offcut into a little step stool. Thanks for the rewire short lol good info
You are in love with that house. Enjoy every second. Great job.
Great job, Jeremy! You did everything spot-on right.
I haven't cut cords... yet. Awesome impromptu lesson! Thanks!
That is a hard working man.
Excellent job! I need to install my attic ladder stairs and soon before it gets too hot. Thanks for the video. Watching you do it helps.
Was hoping you would show the feet of the ladder touch the floor so we could see how that worked out for you. Great progress on the house
Good workout loading up the OSB. Really coming along!!!
Well done! Actually quite impressive really. Looking more and more like a house all the time.
It's all looking great. So excited for you guys.
One day at a time 👍🏻❤️
I knew you could do it and you are--be proud, very very proud.
Cut cord on saw many times. When cord gets to short buy a extension cord cut off Female end and install. Works very well.
Saved me lots of money on construction jobs when the Safety person red tags your saw. Usually kept a cord in my truck for those times.
“Safety person red tags your saw” isn’t a thing here thankfully.
More good work from Jeremy !
Congrats on the consistent progress, looks great!
I've lost count of the cut cords over the years, LOL. Good thing my husband is a whiz at electricity as well as electronics. Glad you can use your attic space! ~Cyn
Enjoy watching your video
House project is really moving along. I wish I could help you along- The distance is too great. You are able to stand proud. Good job.
I can see that you are in your glory!
I didn't recognize Jeremy nice haircut and the house is coming along beautiful
Cut the cord on my Skil Saw last summer... put on 25' extension cord(very flexible, same gauge).. minus female end of course, and real like it... doesn't catch on the plug when moving around... Great Job, keep up the good work!!!!
Well done! Great extra tip there. Like you said, sometime things work better.

That was a nice product day.. it's great how it's coming together...
Have a good evening 🌻🌻🌻
Great work! It's so nice to everything coming together. Here's to continued success.
the build is coming along nicely, just awesome to see
That's the "flat out best" temporary support board i'd ever seen LOL
Good Job Jeremy on the floor and attic stairs! Oops on saw! but fixed.
Fixing the wiring on your tool was very interesting.
Whoops! hehehe...well, you got the floor and ladder done, awesome.

You’re amazing. Great job!
I imagine you sleep pretty well at night...especially now that you're all enclosed...and I remember the stress of the well too. Sleep cozy my friend.
When there is a will there is a way has been my motto for a long time but now the will says yes but the body says, no way!
Wonderful work! You make it look so easy! LOL
great video liked all the tips and solo work done by you saves money, wish you the best with your house.
I thought you were going to build a cozy little cabin. This is huge! Going to be quite a home. Your doing an amazing job!
Another great video. Good progress on the build well done
Just found you. Excellent video. I have cut my saw cable before.
Dont feel bad about cutting the cord on the power saw, just about everybody that operates them have done the same thing, me included, Luv your work.
You might want to double check your span chart for the max span for the ceiling joists you now made into floor joist. My guess is they are not going to support the loads you will be adding to them as you use your NEW STORAGE AREA.

Wow, I could watch you work all day! Can you come build my next house? The builders here suck
Well done solo!
Pretty freaking good to me dude 😃. Careful of your back. You are doing it all correct! Stay safe
Awesome job!!
Nice idea ... Split board and notch one half for pipe ... Headspace is good ...
Looking great...thanks for the post
I cant begin to tell you how many times (over the last 40 yrs of being a contractor) that I've had to shorten a cord.... lol
Very resourceful!
Awesome 👍😁
