This puzzle took a lot longer than it should have. After I filled the grid, I colored 34s blue-yellow, 46s green-purple, and the third of a green-yellow 346 triple gray (36). I was so busy trying to match and color certain 34 cells that I didn't notice the work a 7 was doing for a long time. Once I saw that, I placed a purple in a cell that saw both blue and yellow -- purple couldn't be 4, it had to be 6. That finally collapsed the puzzle.
I just noticed that the video's green cell was one of my gray cells and was 6.
7:30 It helped that I marked the three cells. You might remember that 5 in block 5 was/is in column 6. That gives a 125 triple and displaces the 9.
8:40 I found the 12 pair later in the solve, after I filled out the grid but before I began coloring. As usual, I found it backwards. A 367 triple in row 4 gave me a 5 and the 12 pair.
11:10 Not-quite-Snyder notation triumphs again. See the 7:30 note.
14:10 That 46 pair is where I blundered, not noticing the 7's work. (I also blundered the row above, not noticing the 5.) But once I caught myself there, after all the coloring, the puzzle collapsed.

This was a tricky one John. It had a pretty high difficulty rating depending on which advanced strategies you applied. I like that you figured out the power of the candidate 7. Way to go!

@@SmartHobbies Thank you! I'm not sure when you wrote the comment, and how much you saw of my final comment. I couldn't help chuckling when you asked whether we found the 125 triple in block 5. Yes, that was quite early for me.

First class ... that is, I just started Soduku a couple of weeks ago, so the level of this puzzle is towers of knowledge beyond my experience in Soduku but your explanation and your illustration of how to apply certain techniques certainly gave me a sense of joy as the puzzle slowly begins to be resolved. So far I have been able to follow the solution but I must say that the revelation of the hidden triple is several layers deep, no doubt Soduku has many levels of complexity, but the illustration you give in this example was and is a lot of fun. It did and still does throw me as to how you applied the hidden triple. For instance the cell in R4C6 is already pencil marked with a 1 2 pair, and R5C6 is pencil marked with a 2 and lastly R6C6 is already pencil marked with a 1 9 pair. So it looks like we kept the 1 2 pair in R4C6 but then we added a 5 to the existing 2 in R5C6 and again we added a 5 to the existing 1 in R6C6. Nevertheless I will continue with the presentation as it is a lot of fun and I now have more tools to help me solve Soduku puzzles. Thanks.

I failed to see the idea, until you pointed out the five cells. Nice. - The 125-tripple follows more easily from the 125 in square 2 and 125 in row 7.

This puzzle took me 1 hour and 20 minutes, not counting much additional time I had to spend watching the video. I had almost every cell completely filled with all candidates, and still wasn't seeing the w wing because I didn't know there could be additional cells in the target columns that contained the target number. I'm still trying to figure out these w wings. I ended up using a bifurcation strategy to solve the green cell. Complete failure.

I wouldn’t consider it a failure, Brad. This was not too easy of a puzzle.

47 minutes in the end had to color code to finish. Will watch the video later and see what strategy I missed to make the solve faster and easier.
