Great video Derek. This is a great trail. Good for people who are not too steady on their feet. No steep inclines etc.

Spot on! My ancestors came from Ireland to West Calder, then later moved to Cowdenbeath and Kelty. Judging by some family history research I did, it took two or three generations before it was a better life - although I guess what they left in Ireland might have been even worse.
Good episode. And yes, a cycling one might be a good idea if you have a way to safely cycle and film. The cyclist Mark Beaumont did it but that was on empty roads in a desert!

At 1min 50secs there's a corner shop in the background (on the main road). In 1974 I was riding my very old Suzuki B120 motorbike eastwards along that very road. The throttle somehow managed to jam full on, at that exact spot. The only way to disengage the engine was to pull in the clutch, with the left hand. However that made the engine rev to about 12,000rpm. Trouble was, to turn off the engine the ignition key on that bike was also on the left. So I had to reach across to the clutch with my RIGHT hand to keep it disengaged. I then turned off the ignition key and sighed with relief. But as I let go the clutch, I forgot that the engine was still spinning at 12,000rpm. The bike therefore shot forward, being steered only by my right arm still holding the LEFT handlebar, and careered right into (and through) the double doors of that very same corner shop. Even 50 years later I can still remember the startled look of the customers in the shop.

Why didn't you just knock it into neutral and use your brakes to stop?
