    Just ordered a 5000XL in the sales to replace our decade old, grotty, melted Philips. Hearing how yours was after a year really helped. Thanks Chris!

    We bought an older model, (Premium XXL HD9651) at Costco for $399 just the other day, but will take it back and grab this one I reckon! As this one is $249 Black Friday!

      Ik zou eigenlijk een aantal afzonderlijke receptvideo's maken, in plaats van de recensie te veel te laten verzanden. Vroeg me af of dat het waard.

    Great to see an Aussie review. Does it have to be connected to the Home ID or can you just use it manually?

    Upgraded from the HD9270 (which I already ordered but send back unopened) to the HD9285 partially due to your review, thanks!
    Could get it for €149 with €25 cashback promo, which Philips has running currently in NL just from cybermonday; this would take back the price to €124! Barely any more than the HD9270 I ordered for €119.
    Decided to upgrade with the accessoires (HD9285/96 bundle) for €179; then get €5 more cashback which will eventually result in €149 including grill and baking tray!

    Hi. What size Australian chicken does it take?

    • @motivatedtravel
      @motivatedtravel  28 дней назад

      Not sure of the exact size, but we get a family chicken (kind of normal sized one) and it fits easy.

      I had an airfryer previously that had a window on it and I don't remember grease being an issue. It tends to all drop down.

    Is the difference between this model and xl essential deserve the double price?

    • @motivatedtravel
      @motivatedtravel  2 месяца назад +1

      The main differences are capacity - so you can fit more in the XXL - and a few more presets on the menu.
      Not worth double the price (unless you are a big family), but in Australia, it's currently only $30 more on Amazon. So maybe shop around a bit.

    Can you cook chicken strips with chicken nuggets and French Fries all at the same time?

    • @motivatedtravel
      @motivatedtravel  3 месяца назад

      If they have the same cooking requirements (as in time frame) and you can fit them in with a decent amount of air around them, sure. If you jad a big pile of it all in there, then it might not cook as well.

  • @Daumex
    @Daumex 24 дня назад +1

    I'm not sure if it's worth this much money since it's a single basket. Ninja has dual basket variants for the same amount of money. If you want to cook a main meal with something on the side a single basket fryer isn't practical at all as you have to cook the servings one by one.

    • @motivatedtravel
      @motivatedtravel  24 дня назад +1

      That is the most annoying part of cooking with this device if you want to cook more than two things (like chips and burger patties). The benefit is, it doesn't take up as much bench space.

      It's not perfectly square, but it's about 300 x 300mm. Then the handle at the front sticks out about another 80mm or so.
