I was over for 2 weeks at the start of September, had a great time , we found that you couldn't even cook a breakfast in the apartment for less money than the Spanish breakfasts, I like the toasted ham and cheeses with a pot of tea when I can't stomach anymore sausages, ha ha
Hi Kevin, yes, we are off fry ups now and my diet has resumed. We like tuna toasties on fresh bread with a bit of olive oil and tomato….lovely and great value. Best wishes Mike and Yvonne

We have just returned from UK where two small bacon sandwiches and tea for two was £18 60 and was rubbish that was in Penrith Cumbria at a large store on a roundabout that is fairly well frequented for butchery.
Two cups of tea on Portsmouth prom were £2.45 each and nothing special. So Benidorm is still good value.
Hi Elena, yes it just goes to show what great value there is in Benidorm, you can still get a pint for 1.50 in several bars in the new town. Even on the seafront you can get 2 pints from about 4.40. Hi Garry and Jackie, we didn't see any Jazz bars but we saw a couple of Soul venues and loads of tribute bars. I think Benidorm is busy all year round. Some bars close but lots of people go can go at any time of year. Thanks for watching all the best Mike and Yvonne.
@@BetweenTheLakes i was referring more to what you might encounter on return to torrevieja although with all your daytime activities and editing posts etc maybe don't get to much night life but iam finding all your posts very useful as we are about to approach retirement and like yourselves planning some extended stays many thanks Garry
@@jackiemay6357 Hi Garry and Jackie, Looking at Torrevieja, it's not as lively as Benidorm but there is something for all tastes, even in Autumn you will find venues with entertainment and good food. We plan to do a night video in Torrevieja soon so stay tuned for that. Torrevieja is very much a growing town with the new harbour development going on, the new housing development which plans to increase the city's population by over 10% when completed and the other improvements going on.
