rone vs okwerdz was done with geechi and coffee. They hardly said anything and cringed through okwerdz rounds. They obviously weren't part of the grind time era so i don't blame them too much.

There's actually a LOT of reason to see Italians as distinct from the rest of Western Europe especially Vis-a-Vis Africa, and especially from the USA point of view. Italy was the last European country to even attempt to colonize Africa and it failed until the fascist era (ie under German influence in a dictatorship). If you know anything about American history you know the idea that Italian-Americans are "white" is a recent idea, imposed in the 70's by Nixon (before then Italians voted with blacks in cities), there were very dark skinned sicilian near-slaves working in plantations, tons of racism and segregation applied to Italians exactly analogous to Jim Crow (limits on housing, owning property, using public amenities), all over the country - including the North!- up to the 20th century. Besides all the cultural stuff, and the fact that most Catholics in USA were really poor in general.
Illmac tried to joke about it, but actually everything I wrote above applies Irish-Americans too. And don't even get me started on Slavic people. Truth is the word "white" groups in way too many types of people who had nothing to do with what most people understand as "white-supremacy" (colonialism, slave-trade, racism, the Hapsburg and Windsor dynasties, World Wars, etc.). Basically 99% of the time people are talking about historical "white supremacy" the actual substantive historical actors are Anglo-Saxon (ie British or German), French Spanish, or an ally thereof. "White" is basically just bigotry, like grouping all Asians and Pacific Islanders together as "slant-eyes." The only reason why there's a such thing as "black" is because of the legacy of slavery (ie nobody knows what African nation/tribe they were from because that knowledge was deliberately suppressed and destroyed), and even THAT applies only in the Americas/Western Hemisphere (ie people are not just "black" in Africa, but Hutu, Tutsi, Igbo, Oromo, Fulani, and so on).
