You guys fit in just fine.
ranking SEC programs by most NFL Draft picks:
No. 1 Oklahoma - 417
No. 2 Alabama - 411
No. 3 LSU - 381
No. 4 Georgia - 379
No. 5 Florida - 373
No. 6 Texas - 368
No. 7 Tennessee - 363
No. 8 Texas A&M - 306
No. 9 Auburn - 300
No. 10 Arkansas - 281
I know that geography is pretty much out the window now and that’s kinda my point. Oklahoma and Texas to the SEC made the most cultural and geographical sense in a move situation. I’d have hated a move to the Big 10 or PAC 12. Adding OU/TX to the SEC only added like 92 miles to the furthest road game or something like that. The SEC is the only conference that has tried to stay true to that and I like it a lot.
Same here
Great discussion. No doubt OU is going to be a great fit. Go Dawgs.
excellent coverage!
The Former Big 12 Commish was a large reason for wanting to move, because of the TV situation and his lack of doing anything productive for the Conference or OU, but, I think they smelled the changes coming , that we have seen take place, and the productive life saving future was in the SEC. The time to move had matured, and if you really think about it, it is the exact right time in history for it.
Boomer Sooner! Gonna be fun!!
The Teams that beat OU in their first year in the SEC will become their rival. Especially if they beat them in Norman. OU would then have a reason to go to that teams house and walk away with a win. That’s how rivalries are made.
Is the s e c ready for Oklahoma?
Ole Miss beat us in 1999 bowl game. I think that is a team we could build a good rivalry with. Them, and Tennessee, and definately LSU there is no love lost there either. Bama will always be one for everyone in the SEC, then Georgia, for that Rose bowl.
27-25 should have never
faked a FG should have took the 3
Im just glad that texas can’t destroy the sec. Forcing them to give up the longhorn network is a good sign. Oklahoma is a forever home after the NFL. It will not be long until sec fans despise texas as much as we do.
I can see OU/Alabama becoming rivals. Not so much as a hatred rival, more of a respected rival. Missouri, a&m, and Arkansas will never be a rival for OU. You media people have tried to make them rivals, but real OU fans aren't buying it.
Agree 💯
🗣️facts
Like OU VS NEBRASKA
that I can see
I just want to see O.U take down Missouri this year. And put them firmly where they belong. I couldn't believe caden Green's father turning up on campus and pulling caden out of his team/
Na man LSU
Obviously
Hey... where's the welcome from all the other teams?
I thought SEC fans couldn't wait to whip up on us money less OU fans, Brokelahoma, ay?
What?
Welcome to the sec OU. You’re gonna love it. Miz.
OU got hosed on the schedule compared to Texas. I say that as a Texas guy. 8-4 would almost be a miracle with that schedule.
We were both going to get some of the big teams and some middle pack ones. So I'm excited for these matchups, regardless of expectations. Although Finebaum himself said 9-3 with this schedule is doable for them but he expects 8-4
@@MrZeroe1 I think Texas got a good mix of best (Georgia, OU), middle (Kentucky, ATM, Florida), and bad (Vandy, MSU, Arkansas) to start off in the SEC. You guys got all the big hitters minus Georgia and some good middle of the pack teams to usher you into the SEC. All your bad/expected win teams are non-conference. If we were still in the Big 12 with the new schools OU would be right there among the top 2 and be favored in almost every game. In a grueling SEC, both of us are going to be hurting if we lose depth at the 2-deep.
@@MrZeroe1 I also have the feeling that the SEC will try to manufacture a "rivalry" with OU and Mizzou just because of Big 8 and Big 12 days. Tennessee is interesting with the Heupel connection and Alabama is the blue blood that can bubble into a mutual respect rivalry.
Don't worry about it Oklahoma will be just fine
Let's not deny Oklahoma wants revenge on Florida and LSU. Say something
Already got Florida. Picking off their star QB 3 times in the first quarter and putting more I think 400+ rushing yards on them in a game.
Who cares about OU? The SEC is now Longhorn country 🤘🏽
Just like the Big12 was huh?
🤘⬇️
Hahahahah what a loser 🤣
Maybe yall should care we've been texas daddy over the last couple decades
TEXAS!
67-24-5. Missouri is not a rival.
I think it will be LSU and Tennessee. Maybe Alabama since there is somw smack talk history there
I feel like we just got called up to the big leagues, BOOMER!!!! So long little 12, thanks for nothing!
Yep. At least you don't have to worry about playing K-State anymore. Lol. Good luck, you're going to need it.
