And it's really no surprise that people's attention span has reduced _drastically._ It's because we get everything ASAP, and we're used to not having to wait. So now, when we *have* to wait or focus on one thing for a longer period of time, we get impatient and frustrated. This is a problem - that at least minimising sm can help or even fix (at least to some extent).
I have no friends and the only acquaintances I have are very active on social media. I used to be big into art music and gaming and now I can barely focus on a video game for more than 5 minutes. I went to the comment section. 😅😂😢
Right! And I'm over 40! Social media sucks you in.I stopped most except Facebook only once a month, period. I feel better
I have no friends and the only acquaintances I have are very active on social media. I used to be big into art music and gaming and now I can barely focus on a video game for more than 5 minutes. I want to quit, but I feel like I'll cut off any ability to make friends if I do. And I want to post my art online eventually. How do I go about this?
You can minimise your screen time and dude go out and make some friends
I probably wouldn't quit social media, but I would take a few days off sometimes. I think that's the best thing in doing it that way, especially when it comes to your mental health.
Who else is watching this at 14 just ready to quit social media
Me
This is True Because I Personally Experienced That When I Use More and more social Media For No reason My Concentration ,Focus , Visalization ability , I Feel Lost And I Wont To Enjoy Every Thing But I Cant ..
Exactly, I agree and all the reasons are true. If I want to incorporate myself in any work I can and while watching a movie it bores me. Exactly, i feel I should quit using it.
Thank you sir for clearing my doubts.
How This World🌎Is 2day
I Can't Fully Function Or Enjoy Life🤷🏾♂️Anyway
Negativity🤬Has Overshadowed👥

Ty I have been thinking about not going on social media for awhile now just haven’t go the motivation to do it ty
He is right 100 percent, I would always blame the media I watch taking my fun away.
I don't and never have had any accounts on social media not even one and I never will definitely not missing anything
I did it .. and I’m proud of it . A lot of good energy I feel now 👌
Thank you for opening up my eyes. I always knew this but this video was the reminder that I needed. I might leave social media and the internet forever but I Subscribed to your channel on the way out. 👍
Social media hasn’t changed anything for me
So very true…..I have noticed this recently. I have no patience like I use to. I’m quit to end a movie before allowing the storyline to develop
Bro nailed it for me I can’t watch anime, Netflix series or video games anymore cause I’m bored
Dang this is deep. This is me.
I lost all my friends due to my lack of media social involvement
Same… when I took a year break from social media I lost every one. Still not worth going back for but I realized that most people in my life weren’t really adding any value outside of social media.
I still have ig…but never open It unless someone messages me…I value my time n would rather play a video game or read/exercise when I’m bored……yes video games are more enjoyable than social media….I’ll be honest I do keep it somewhat updated because hey it’s the way of the world now n atm I’m single so can’t be a complete hermit ✌🏾
Instagram is the worst but i always kept twitter even if it influenced me in a Bad way. Deleting it all now.
Are you from the Netherlands?
Day 6. Reading my 6th book today, and it is almost over. I AM NOT GOING BACK.
I READ DUNE IN 2 DAYS! I had been putting that off for years!
There are so much better things than reading a book, come on who reads a book nowadays?
@@sam.9679 I do 🤷🏻♀️
@@sam.9679 lots of people are into books nowadays still. Esp people like us not into social media or netflix.
@@sam.9679 I do! I love books
This is the one thing that i ultimately needed to hear in my few recent years
Just deleted tiktok and got this guy on my YT, cutting down the exposure whilst keeping myself wiser and give myself more time away from the phone, I'll make it work
Personally, whenever I feel like I lost touch with reality or that I’ve been comparing myself to others too much.. I take a break from social media by deleting the apps for a week or two. Do this and you’ll actually feel your mental health improving and you will enjoy life more.
That's true, it almost ruined my sanity, I'm always keep overthinking after i use social media. I'm quitting now. Society needs to watch this video
Your contents are underrated. JSYK!! Personally, the only reason I use social media is for work. lol, if it doesn't pay me, I won't waste my time on it. Thanks for sharing bruhv.
Deleting my insta was the best decision ever made i swear
After leaving social media I’m on RUclips whole day
Bruh I instantly started browsing the comments on this short without even realizing it
Now I know why I cannot watch tv for not more than 20 minutes anymore
That' happened to me, while im watching a video, i start scrolling for the next one
I use telegram a bit, but instagram and others are so cluttered with ads and fomo inducing stuff that I quickly get annoyed
I have wasted my 7 years in social media 😢😢thts so horrible
I am reading comments while watching this😅
“Maybe you’ve always been happy, but the world, social media and external comparisons have convinced you that you can’t possibly be.”
♥️♥️💫🌟
The last line hit me hard
I thought this was just happening to me cuz I was depressed.
> Damn that's crazy bro
> *keeps scrolling*
Those who're thinking they should delete or not.
