That is a beautiful Ouija Board! I used one when I was around twelve years old and probably won't mess with one ever again. I don't think I said "goodbye" so that could have been the problem. People are quick to say whether these things are real or fake but I personally think nobody will truly ever know. There IS an afterlife though and they can communicate with us through various elements..just be careful. I'm a paranormal investigator and have done a ton of research and have seen/heard/felt/experienced some crazy stuff!

Been using Ouija Boards since I was 12 years old. I never did any BS protection ritual before using one. Never been possessed My homes have never been haunted or I have been attacked by demons. In fact, I have NEVER EVER had one bad experience from using one. Only time I have ever seen anything bad happen when using one is in the movies. Yes, I still use the Ouija Board regularly 45 years later. Yes they actually do work. Yes, you can tell when someone pushes it because it has a jerky movement to it. When it does work, the planchette slides across the board like an air hockey puck

The effectiveness of the Ouija board has NOTHING to do with spirits or ghosts, but has everything to do with vulnerable people using them. All it takes is one person to spell out something terrible - for 'fun'....and that can have a catastrophic effect on a vulnerable mind. Trust me, and trust the psychiatric reports that support it. Using a Ouija board is not a game. It has never been banned, but has been cited as being responsible for some very real mental health issues. Research that! Young people, vulnerable people should not 'play' with anything that can trigger their fears - and THAT is the danger of Ouija boards. Try to look at things outside of your own perspective for once!

i remember my grandma telling me that her and her friend who was pregnant at the time decided to play with the ouija board. They asked if it was a boy or a girl and it spelled miscarriage. A week or so later my grandmas friend had a miscarriage. Idk, i always thought that was an interesting story.

I have to agree with many people here in that your information was rather flawed. Especially your blanket statement that no modern mediums use a ouija board. A quick look into pagan and witchcraft communities will show you otherwise. That being said, I think you did a lovely job on the board. "Goodbye" is one word though. Hopefully it's not too late to correct that, if you wanted too :)

Take this advice from a practicing sorcerer; it can open a portal to the spirit world. There isn't really a heaven or hell. It's just like earth. Angels and demons can come through the same small portal as a lowly spirit who wants yo scare the living.
My best friend's family was very into paganism and I tried an ouija board with her when I was younger, her and her sister placed their fingers on the board, I sat by the side and skeptically asked it a question IN MY HEAD which they said would work too. I asked it to spell out the name of my aunt who just died and it did, letter for letter. Very creepy stuff!

It's beautiful! I've never played with one, but really I'm interested in older objects from other cultures. Babylonian demon bowls are particularly interesting to me, though they aren't used for divination so, not exactly relevant.

I would recommend not using one unless you're VERY set on it.. The first time I used one I found a spirit who wasn't exactly the kindest things would move around me and I would hear weird noises.. so I would not recommend playing with one

If wood boards with lettering could open portals, then all the wood signs used in the past and that are used now have already opened enough portals, that one more ouija board won't make a difference. This superstition is so silly. For every 1 bad experience with a ouija board, there are thousands who didn't experience anything remotely newsworthy. Humans are so superstitious that we've created thousands of religions, and we invented stupid theories about unexplained events by claiming that spirits exist. Did it ever occur to you that their might be a scientific or plausible reason we just don't understand? Like the fact that there are multiple dimensions and that in certain parts of our world, the wall between realities are thinner than in other places. So the "me" in this dimension of time may be living in a house, where in my alternate reality I chose not to live there. Instead someone else lives there and I believe them to be a ghost, whilst they believe me to be a ghost as well. And all along, we're just 2 regular ppl interacting between the thin wall of our alternate realms, not realizing the sounds coming from each other's timelines are not scary at all. And if I hear a ghost shout "get out", it's simply the fear of the other person telling me (the perceived ghost) to stop haunting him. Just a case of mistaken identity. This theory is far more plausible and likely than the silly idea that ghosts and spirit realms exist.

Then later that day sitting at the table eating a bowl of cereal in the ceiling fan fell and almost to capitated but when it fell he had got up to get more milk cause he didn't get enough

OUIJA BOARDS DO OPEN PORTALS!! it happened to us and shit hid the ouija board on us for 3 months. we dug the house apart and couldnt find it. until we found it, sitting in the open. ON TOP of a bunch of shit on a rubermaid container. like, we opened everything looked all over and couldnt find it. but we could also feel that there were evil things in the house, and weird shit went down. no im not against using the board, i want to make one and just bought one. BUT you do have to be careful, and cleanse, and dont be surprised if you dont take it seriously and get evil things coming though.
the way i see it, ouija boards are just doors. you can get good things but you also get evil things. and the evil is much more talkative. if you wanna make one, go for it. you can even make one out of paper my grandmother use to do it. But you still have to be careful. if you pay attention to them they come, ouija board or not

Andrew, if you are genuinely interested in why I was so triggered by someone condoning the use of a Ouija Board, I'm happy to discuss that with you. I don't care if someone dismisses it as 'Bullshit', you're most probably correct. That isn't my point. The point I am making is, it is best to steer young vulnerable people away from this because of the psychological effect it CAN have on SOME people. My argument has nothing whatsoever to do with the supposed paranormal nature of the 'Game', but rather the affect it can have on SOME people. It may seem to you as though I am being a self-righteous asshole, but I have personally lost a very good friend who committed suicide - as a teenager - because of the stupid, irresponsible way that it was played with. It wasn't a spirit or a demon, or any other malevolent form that killed her, it was her deeply ingrained belief that the prediction of her death would come true - which is totally ridiculous, but it affected this vulnerable young girl to that extent. That is why I am triggered when people say it is harmless. The psychological affects it can have is not harmless.

Chinese Ouija board got about thousand characters in it. To get the correct characters is impossible. When my friends played it they thought one of them pushing it! They asked him the name, age, which day he was born? They try to finish the section. He won't leave. That is the problem start. My friend live so close to the park they played. One sister saw a black shadow in the kitchen, different day the other sister saw a black shadow in the wardrobe. His father become very ill. They got a Chinese Monk to check the flat, they open the door first thing he said. This place is haunted! He asked the family what have they done. My friend told the Monk they played Ouija board in the flat. The Monk said he can't help them. He said to the father. Your son invited it in is not easy to get it out. 4-5 months after the whole family moved out. So don't ever use it.
Its total bullshit. I used one and sat there for 20minutes waiting for something to happen. I tried again for 15minutes and it didn't work. It only works if u believe that it works. I don't believe so it didn't work.
From personal experience I would advise against using them. As with other things in life each person has their own experiences, but mine experience and the experiences of many friends were negative.

It is not a game, it is a form of divination and uses the ideomotor phenomenon. It is not a game in the way it is used and shouldn’t be treated as one. This is NOT to say anything bad is going to come of you using one! just be careful- the ideomotor phenomenon is a very powerful thing! If you go into it thinking it is scary or that something ‘demonic’ will come along then chances are... your brain will make it so! I use my spirit board it to ask my subconscious about things i may already know just not on a ‘conscious’ level :) it is very handy but it really is ‘all in your head’ - it is a rather empowering piece of equipment and should be treated with that respect, if you are thinking of using one then do it ! If you would like more ‘security’ or peace of mind when using one feel free to cast a circle, it can help you feel safer with all the bad press these guys get 💞

The ouija bored is definitely not a game, and if you don't take the proper precautions you run a huge RISK of bringing through and judging from this video you would have NO CLUE how to resolve the issue. these boards are not a toy , i did it back in high school with my closest friends , we were all serious about it , we put all our concentration and energy into it and contacted someone by the name of vorhees , it was spelled different then that i remember it having a g in it which none of us new how to spell that old last name to begin with . come to find out the house we were at was dating back to colonial times and someone committed suicide in the basment by hanging off a pipe all the way in the back corner . (goerge washington once stayed at a home down the street from the house we were at ) this games are not a joke

The 19th century may have been the origin of the Ouija board game, but similar practices may go back even to ancient Greece. The Oracle at Delphi, for instance, was asked a question by a citizen. The Oracle would go into a trance (whether drug induced, epileptic, or the chemicals in the volcanic smoke is moot). She would utter the decree of the gods through glossolalia, giving an answer to the question, and the priests (literally prophets) would interpret her drunken babel. In other regions, later practices used roosters tied to poles and set up letters in a circle all around it and randomly threw grain on the surrounding letters. On whichever letter the cock picked grain, the letter was written down. When enough letters were collected, they were arranged and interpreted for meaning in answer to whatever question was put to the God, gods, or spirits. Also there were letters placed in a circle, and a person stood in the center of the circle and spun around. Whichever letter the spinner stumbled on was recorded and later interpreted for meaning when several letters were collected. While the older practices reveal a general tradition of consulting the gods, the difference in Ouija is it's lack of reliance on random factors. Hence, there was no need for interpretation and no need for any single person (or rooster) to receive a message from the gods on others' behalf. In Ouija, each of us is the Oracle. Each of us is the interpreting prophet on our own behalf. Ouija is the spiritual analog to the Hershey bar. Where cocoa beans were once the exclusive drink of kings, by the 20th century, everyone in America could have their own bit of chocolate for just 5 cents. For Ouija, there's no more need to pay the Oracle off in chickens, since we can all run down to the dime store and buy Hasbros' Ouija board for only $1.50.

You can hold a pendulum (a string with a weight at the bottom) and imagine it moving up and down or left and right or in circles and it will do what you imagine. It’s the same thing. It’s just human psychology. You could be the most skeptical person in the world and still fool yourself.

if Datev doesn't think she'll open a demon portal by using/creating a Ouija board, then let her do it. if you've had an experience with spirits through a Ouija board, then that is your own experience and you have every right to own it and talk about it. if you haven't and you don't believe in that sort of thing, then what Datev is saying or doing with the board shouldn't affect you. I personally believe in spirits and things and I have communicated with one through a Ouija board but I'm not offended that Dot created one or made this video.
7 years late, but from what I heard there was a precursor to the Ouija board in ancient Song China called the Fuji which dated back to 1100 AD, though this is more of a planchette writing and involved rituals to do.

Ouija board dont work I've been playing them all my life and it's never worked once someone contact me and tell me why they're not working for me
