Man, this made me tear up. Having Elmo and his dad coming from Seasme Street, which I grew up. I felt like I still have a childhood friend, even when I haven't come back to see him in a long time.
i think the reason so many people gave their true feeling is because, we all trust Elmo. he is a dear close friend to all of us who grew up with him. its not often that a friend will ask how we are really doing.
This massive response was a reminder how checking up on each other is extremely important. Sadly, we've forgotten how to interact with others and be present. One little guy from our childhood made one little tweet and it had a big, heartfelt ripple effect. Elmo, thank you! 💖
I met elmo once..around ten years ago Both elmo himself and the actor behind him and both were so sweet and cool. Even though I stopped watching sesame Street years before I met elmo I always loved him. Even though I was 17 when I met him and Kevin clash (the actor who did elmo from 2003 to 2012) I felt like a kid again
A lot of people who grew up watching and loving Elmo are adults now. I'm 24 and I was very much an Elmo obsessed kid. I still really like Elmo, he reminds me of the kids I work with and they love him too. Hearing, what I know is just a puppet at the end of the day, say "We all have lots of emotions and it's ok to talk about." still made me tear up and hit that inner child in me. I think a lot of the replies were genuine, I don't think everyone was just trolling or dunking on Elmo. A lot of people don't have anyone in their life who checks in on them so seeing this sweet childhood comfort character ask just stuck a cord. Like he said "It's important to check in on your friends." and maybe check in on strangers too. You never know who needs to hear that.

I think is so sweet that Elmo is just checking in to see how everyone is doing in the World! That is what makes Elmo unique and lovely :)
I love this. I love when Elmo said it’s ok to have different feelings. Sometimes it’s hard for us to share what feelings we are having and it just helps to know that someone out there cares.
Elmo has a dad?? I’m 35 and just finding out he has a dad😮
I am 46 and thinking the same exact thing!
Elmo’s Dad was absent from his life until he became a famous muppet on TV…. Then his dad suddenly showed up.
Same thing & I'm 40!
When a mommy loves a daddy very much.....
Both his parents were in the “explaining the death of a loved one to kids” video
Aww 😂❤ Elmo is still 3yo?! After all these years, he still puts a smile on my face.
It made me smile and tear up I don't know why🥹
@@ttthecat brings back those nostalgic feelings of being a carefree child I guess. World feels a lot heavier as an adult
@@KayBeOnlineI couldn't quite place the feeling but it was profound and sort of sweet? @KayBeOnline
@@KayBeOnlineindeed🥺🥹 it's heavier but it's a gift to get to bear it.
He’s actually 43 Years Old but I Guess He’s 3 in Muppet Years.
Every time I hear Elmo speak it makes me want to cry. Such a huge part of my childhood and he’s just so darn cute.
Yes! I love him and Sesame Street as a whole!!
3 1/2 years old and Elmo already has his therapy license, he’s so talented ❤
I love that Elmo was focused on the individual but everyone else was focused on the celebrity
This massive response was a reminder how checking up on each other is extremely important. Sadly, we've forgotten how to interact with others and be present.
One little guy from our childhood made one little tweet and it had a big, heartfelt ripple effect. Elmo, thank you! 💖
3:00 you know Elon naming twitter to X isn't a good idea even if a children cartoon character cannot remember twitter was renamed to X
I'm still calling it Twitter no matter what.
@@Kazuo1G same!
I don't know a single person who calls it "X"... everyone still calls it Twitter.
hahaha yeah!!!! Even the newslady here says "Tweet" instead of "post" XD
It was such a bad idea 😂
I'm so glad they brought his dad. A good support system always makes things better 😭❤
After 30 years Elmo still cares about me 😢😢😢😢😢
A lot of people aren’t asked how they’re doing so props to Elmo for asking. Kindness goes a long way.
I met elmo once..around ten years ago
Both elmo himself and the actor behind him and both were so sweet and cool.
Even though I stopped watching sesame Street years before I met elmo I always loved him. Even though I was 17 when I met him and Kevin clash (the actor who did elmo from 2003 to 2012) I felt like a kid again
We never really stop watching Sesame Street. It's one of the few wonderful things that lives in our consciousness. Cheesy but true.
Elmo noble peace prize. This simple question
That is a noble thought but I'm not sure the Nobel committee would agree.
@GregInTokyo why not they have it to Rush Limbah didn't they?
@@GregInTokyoConsidering some of the people recognized by that committee, I think there are better places to get attention from anyway.
“Your gonna be 3 and a half again” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
How can you not smile when you see Elmo? Although, the one tweet that said, "We are tired," covers it.
Everyone trauma dumping to a child is not something I had on my bingo card😂😂
I'm a grown man, and that triggered me. Everyone needs to know there's someone they can talk with.
God ....talk with God mental health is a lie
@@BourbonBlood-u8syou’re joking right?
@@BourbonBlood-u8sok boomer
Look when you’re having a hard time, “finding god” isn’t always the answer. Talking to someone, either a friend or a therapist, can be very helpful. And maybe it can redirect you to god, but just saying “oh talk to god” to someone going through it is very dismissive. It’s why church attendance is lacking nowadays. And you know what, good. I don’t think god would be too happy with Christians right now.
Also if we addressed issues like poverty and the messed up healthcare system head on, maybe we would have less issues, eh? Does Love thy neighbor as yourself only apply to the upper middle class? Please leave your own swollen head for a second and put yourself in someone else’s shoes.
@@BourbonBlood-u8s Your physical health will suffer if your mental health health suffers. You need your brain to be healthy since it controls everything else in your body
@@rebekahjohnson5940 oh wow it must be helpful cause you say so dummy therapists are scammers they gaslight people
He's a sweetheart!
yeah, at first glance… but just search for Elmo & ‘Rocko’ and you’ll see his OTHER, more UGLIER side!😏😉🙄🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I just turned 42 back in November, and still Elmo is 3 1/2 years old. I guess it’s true that some of us just don’t grow up, and for Elmo that’s just fine. But on to Elmo’s tweet, I thinking it’s wonderful that he wanted to know how folks are doing. It’s hard out here in these streets. I wish I could say that things in my life are fine, but they aren’t. However, I have really wonderful people in my life just like Elmo. Thanks for making me smile today,Elmo. I needed it. We love you, Elmo. And Happy Early Birthday!!
I've been so burnt out and mentally exhausted for my entire life that I no longer think I even have emotions anymore. Even when I breakdown into tears it feels like a conditioned response.
There, there!! ♥️
@@aditimishra9900 Aw thanks, this actually comforted me alot 😭❤️
@@liagamer4265 I hope you feel better! Life is hard! ♥️
💜💜💜💜
hows things going for you recently, if its fine to ask !! i really have been feeling the same way sometimes 😭
Why am I crying!?!?! This is so wholesome.
Probably cuz it feels like someone is FINALLY listening.
Fr oh my gosh I’m getting emotional 😭 this is so sweet and important especially for someone who’s going through something.
Just another example that not all heros wear capes
Or pants, apparently.
Elmo wil be 3½ again! Just like last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, and the year before that 😂
So many people needed this question and for it to feel genuine. We have become so disconnected from others due to work, goals, struggle to support self and family that it became an overwhelming burden to see that there are other people in our communities that struggle similarly to ourselves and offer a kind word.
This almost made me cry. So cute and important to have have this discussion in this way.
I can't wait to see what SNL does with Elmo on their next show.
I hope they bring Rocko into the picture! 😈😏😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤭😉
They'll make it not funny and bad cuz they are good at that.
Yes you can.
@@Bruhdawg69😭😭
They’ll probably have Bowen play Elmo on weekend update 🤦🏻♂️
Elmo, We 💗 You! Thanks for Checking in. You have such a BIG 💗 for such a Lil Guy. You are so Sweet and Kind. 🤗
My day's better already, ELMO is a legend!
Elmo brings me nothing but secure happiness.❤❤❤
I saw this yesterday, but somehow I felt this very healing just from hearing what Elmo had to say.
I dont have Twitter/X so I just found out about this. All I can say is this in answer to him "I'm swimming Elmo. Some days are good, and some days are bad; but I keep swimming forward." I love Elmo!! ❤
My grandson turns 18 this month.
I have s many fond memories of watching Elmo with him.
He had all his DVDs! I memorized a lot!
ELMO’s VOICE IS EVERTHING 🤣❤️🤣
I miss the original.
YASSS!!! 🥰🥰🥰
@@RoyalMasterpiece it’s an original sounds the same to me😁
The original voice had a special place in our hearts ❤, but this one still puts a smile on your face too.
@@KayBeOnline you guys keep saying this in the original voice did the original voice guy pass away or am I missing something leave it in the comments but either or elmo he is a cutie🤣 bring so much joy to children to old ladies like me😁
I'm 33 years old watching this at work. It's so innocent that it makes me emotional!
I missed all this because im currently in a mental health facility and I just got access to my phone. I love that this is being handled correctly.
💜
I’m literally crying Elmo 😢-- you’ve always been so sweet and kind 😫❤️!
This made me tear up. Whatever you’re going through, you’re not alone.
Between this and that SNL sketch, I’m convinced that not only am I not the only one who feels not OK… everyone else is muddling through life in their own way, trying their best to focus on the good and bury the bad. It’s also strange how, in this hyper-connected world, I feel more alone and weird than ever. But in some way or other, just about everyone is struggling.
It's sad. But true
Understood
Which SNL sketch?
thank you elmo, i didn't know i needed this. i'm getting all teary-eyed
I still love Elmo as much as I did as a child.
He's WONDERFUL.....Greetings from GREECE ❤
Greetings from America 🧡👋
i visited Greece in June 2022 with my family and we loved it! it's so beautiful there 🖤
this whole thing is so cute, but it’s very special to me that elmo brought his dad with him
louie was so emotionally articulate, and such a good model of manhood and fatherhood
his little “good job son” at the end made me smile :)
This was just the sweetest interview. I grew up on sesame street now my son watchs it .
We LOVE you ELMO ❤
Hearing Elmo say it’s okay comforted me ❤❤
Elmo is so cute and positive! The world needs more kindness, laughter and compassion!!! Really glad he posted ❤
Elmo is my favorite fury character he was a huge part of my childhood and seeing the tweet on X made me feel happy and I was glad to say what I felt so keep checking in Elmo your the best 😃
I was an adult when Elmo came on the scene…. and I loved him and knew he was special since the day I saw him. :)
The world needs more Elmos. ❤️
This is so sad that alot of people are dealing with being tired, and unhappy in this society. Thank goodness for Elmo being a light for us lol :) Wholesome!
I died hearing Elmo's dad's voice
Tickle me Elmo still 3 and a half. Bless him.
