Note that in two weeks we're doing a LAMPC episode on Alfonso Cuarón's Children of Men (2006). We've discussed it before on the podcast, but it's time to do it properly. So, Look At Moving Picture Club members, get to watching! (And read the book too if you'd like to see if Nate is correct in his assessment that it's worse than the movie.)
Unrelated to the content directly, but I like how the bell notifications give a little peek under the hood sometimes of original file names. It notified me of the upload being: "05 23 Not Burgers Video v2"
Sounds nice but for those less aware of this type of thing, this commenter isn't real... It's a bot channel and that comment is based on a template. The channel contains Fortnite videos with a bot voice saying a bunch of hooey that I didn't stick around to hear out.
The amount of people willing to eat Chips Ahoy, but ignore the beautiful homemade macadamia nut cookie just because it isn't chocolate chip like Chips Ahoy astound me.
@@storiesaresoulfood4643 I supposed technically they're chunks not chips, and probably not real chocolate, but I can't imagine why anyone would choose them over better things.
Unrelated to this good episode, I started collecting picture books and short stories on kindle to read on a little laptop because every time the church gets together some of the toddlers want to read books. Now I don't have to read "God Gave me You" in the kid's play room, so that's a win. But I put "Blah, Blah Blacksheep" on the projector in the sanctuary and read it for them: it always gets rave reviews from "BLAHOOOing" toddlers.
Wasn't expecting to rethink my positions on Hamlet (play and character) today. But now I have new questions to think about whenever I look back on my Literary Criticism notes! To quote T. S. Eliot (Hamlet and His Problems) "And probably more people have thought 'Hamlet' a work of art because they found it interesting, than have found it interesting because it is a work of art. It is the 'Mona Lisa' of literature" (99).

The book is definitely worse than the movie.

@@idogtv Don't worry as a default I don't believe people who say things like "I really enjoyed watching this"
Do an episode on Cowboys, I wanna see what Nate thinks of them, lol
you have a particular ep in mind?
@@storiesaresoulfood4643 I mean it could be on a ton of thing: Country Music, bull riding and Ranch’s.
@@storiesaresoulfood4643 could react to a song with Nate, you guys should try ‘Sunday Service in the Sand’ -Brian Kelley

I mean but - it doesn't have chocolate chips does it?
