Whenever the sun is out, even if it's snowing, the germans come out feom their homes. The difference is that, they still wear their jackets. 😊
😂😂😂😂
Subscribed...love the Germans and their debating honest perspective on life ...never condescending, always keep on point...that's what I love about Germans...honest to a fault...
I agree! Southern Europe has great bread but I would say Germany wins the bread award!
It’s no contest in my (Mitch) opinion… and I’m pretty sure I’m gluten intolerant 🍞😋
I can relate to many points 😬 I lived in England for 5 years and now in Germany for 5 years and I'm going back to my Heimat in a week. I am incredibly grateful for the experiences and insights I gained in both countries, I feel like I am a more complete person ❤ P.S. You both are lovely 🥰 Grüße aus Hamburg ⚓️
Wow! You are also probably an expert of these differences! Greetings to you and Hamburg (very jealous that you live there). ⚓️
😂😂😂😂😂 OMG “dirty British boy” along with your facial expression had me laughing out loud!!!
Lovely to watch you together in front of camera. Shorts is the 1st topic 😆 Amazing guys 💙
Aww thanks for watching 🫶
😂😂😂
Very interesting.
It was nice to hear about that.
Cheers guys.
Thanks for watching Juan 🙌
You could make a video about horses in UK, because there are horse shows and eventing in UK especially cross country which is facinating
Different policy for GP appointments, depends on the practice. At mine, in Colchester, just turn up at 08h00 and you get seen in turn. No need for a phone call in advance
Danke euch! Es war wieder sehr interessant! 😊
Awww thanks for your kind words 🫶
Interesting!
Thanks for watching!! 🙌
hi Isi, you have a pure lovely English accent, another thing, if the thread in England is kind of flat, hene in USA the bread is awful (OrlandoFlorida).
Thank you soooooo much! You make a fantastic couple!
Thank you for watching!! 🤗
You are a bit unfair to Germany.
For example, by law nobody can prohibit walking in private woods.
Also there are no private beaches.
His accent sounds so good ❤❤
It was a great video
Thank you so much for watching! 🙌
I can't understand why there shouldn't be charity shops in Germany ... There are several large social organizations (Diakonie, Red Cross, AWO, Kinderschutzbund, etc.) that run shops in many cities. They are often just called second hand stores, but they are Sozialkaufhäuser/charity shops. Smaller initiatives also operate shops and we now also have oxfam. In my city (population 300,000) there are at least 6 charity shops. In two of them you can even buy furniture. Are there more shops in UK towns? Or are they cooler?
We would’ve mentioned that it does exist in Germany… but just not on the same scale. Brighton and Hove has just under 300,000 and there’s easily over 50 charity shops. George Street in Hove alone has 11. We love them 🫶
wow, thats a lot! indeed :)
As a Brit in Germany, I miss pasties or any kind of pastry pies, and Victorian pubs with an open fire selling good ciderrrr.
LOL that is what we think of all Brits and Germans in Portugal. Beach and short weather is only June, July, august and September and yet both wear shorts and t-shirts and bathe in the Atlantic Ocean all year long! Unless you are a surfer, bodyboarder, fishermen that is a NO! 😊
Wear what you like! Do you! Be happy!!!
Hahahaha... we really want to post a picture of Isi in her sleepingbag coat, next to a short-wearing Brit. 🥶
why on earth a fisherman, surfer cannot wear shorts?
@@BETOETE I state that these are exactly the people “allowed” to wear shorts yearlong…
Das Leckerste an Brot ist, Käse hinzuzufügen, manchmal Marmelade, obwohl das Fleisch in Ordnung wäre.
In the US we must get our dog obsessed culture from the British. The who "pet parent" and " fur babies" thing and insisting they go everywhere. That is fairly new - 30 years ago they would be considered owners and pets and in businesses the only dogs you'd see are trained service animals for the disabled. Personally, I prefer there the latter. 😬
English and Germans are similar in DNA and culture
Cash: Germans love cash. Usually the smaller amounts of money are paid in cash, while the bigger ones may be paid by credit card. We even have a proverb for using cash: "Bargeld lacht" - Cash is smiling (= Someone pays in cash, instead of getting a bill, which is paid sooner or later). In the past it was common that companies gave sales discounts at customers paying immedeately or cash ("Skonto").
Smaller amounts of money should be paid in cash, because this is the most efficient way (or at least was).
The other reason why Germans love their cash: Cash means privacy. Germany has a history of dictatures, Nazi or Socialist. More or less a cultural-psychological approach. If You will pay cash, You will stay more or less anonym.
I curse the UK, for it's lack of preventative care & good bread. It was better 35 years ago 🤦♂️
We have great bread ❤
I do agree. The stance on health care while well intentioned leaves a LOT to be desired
Is they are couple, I feel the connection between them
☺️
I'd say, no offense, Isi, but that the UK wins for me.
Who needs preventative healthcare when you have dog loving pubs! 😂😂😂
Hello Mitch and Isi of @@EasyEnglishVideos, will your next video be ‘What Do English People Think About Australians?’ 🇦🇺
@@JohnTheRUclipsSuperfan Absolutely John! It's on our list of interviews to make this summer! 🇦🇺
@@EasyEnglishVideos hey Mitch, what about a video on German/English food and cult of beer?, knowing the Germany has a LOT of good ones (OrlandoFlorida).
UK= Ukraine ???
No, United Kingdom
Regarding payments in Asia,
A lot of Koreans use Samsung Pay, and often only carry a phone, not even a wallet, while I'm a credit card plastic guy, so I do carry a wallet. 99% of merchants have a credit card machine, but interestingly, many Koreans don't know about the "tapping" payment, so they ask you to insert a card.
In Korea exclusively, they also take "bank transfer" as a form of payment, which does require a Korean bank account.
In Hong Kong, many take "Octopus" card which is a transit card, but it works in many restaurants and stores.
A lot of merchants do take credit cards, and QC code payments, but a fair number of places still take cash only.
In Japan, many take "IC" cards which are transit cards around the country (SUICA for Tokyo, for example), and they work similar to how Octopus would work in HK. Japan was known for cash-only. This changed since covid.
Similar to HK, a lot of merchants do take credit cards, and QC code payments, but a fair number of places still take cash only.
I guess HK and Japan are similar to Germany.
I heard Mainland China uses QR code payments, so many people carry a phone only as well.
I wonder if you can survive with just a phone in UK?
Thanks for the information! I love digital payments, I hated having to carry around a wallet that's full of money, or having to go to the ATM machine on a night out.
I love your question! I feels like an episode we should make of me trying to get from my house and onto a plane using only my phone. 🤔
@@EasyEnglishVideos I guess it can be a good Super Easy English episode :) It’d be great to do it across Easy languages just like the “what can i do with £5” series
Love it! I’ll definitely propose it!
In my Country, every small/local businesses and a few medium only accept cash for accounting purposes😉, the others all accept debit and app payment
Both are woke AF!!!!
