if you look carefully at the crucible you can notice that it has at least one crack. I'm surprised it didn't break

why they add oil to the molding box and why they add fuel later , thank you.
That is not oil it's molasses which is the binder they use it help to make sand hold to the walls of the molding flask effectively

@@Hafadhafad-z6pYou can get Molasses from a sugar factory it is one of the products they get sugar production process. There are other alternative binders which you can use like bentonite, Sodium silicate which needs Carbon dioxide gas. Which metal are you planning to cast ?.
