Hey Sandi 👋 thank you so much for your kind words, this was a really lovely comment to wake up to. I have certainly made myself very busy 🙈 I really enjoy gardening and filming so much, time passes by so quickly I don't even notice sometimes! I am so pleased you enjoy watching them all the way over in America! I hope to get a bit better with my frequency of videos when my college course finishes, take good care 🤗
Hi Laura lovely to see the delight in your face when working on your allotment in the sun 😊 made me smile, my seedlings are the same.. I blame the weather 😊 great video, feel like I need to go shopping now 😊 take care x
Hey Kerrie 👋 haha I was like kid at Christmas at the allotment this weekend 🤭 it has to be the weather, thankfully the sun has been shining since Sunday and I hope its here to stay! Haha maybe leave your debit card at home or else you'll run away with yourself when you go shopping 🛍 🤣xx
Hey! I was thinking salad but actually I realised I have some pumpkins/squash to plant and trail along the soil surface, I took the idea from the three sisters method, my first time trying it!
Hey lovely ☺️ Wow what a shopping spree. The shrubs look amazing ❤ Predicted rain and the suns shining 😂 I still have some main crop to go out and some Charlotte, so behind due to not being well. Oh the rain did come 😂 Have a fantastic weekend. Bank holiday here Monday so a day to play catch up xx
Hey lovely thank you so much 🤗 sunshine was bliss 🤩 it will be great to see you back at it filming, missed your videos and antics! Take your time though to heal, little bit by little bit! Looking forward to seeing you soon and enjoy your long weekend 💖xx
Proven winners is huge over here and are excellent suppliers. Hydrangeas are also amazingly easy to propagate from cuttings. Some excellent seed choices too Laura hope everything does well 🤞. It’s freezing 🥶 here today and it was supposed to be sunny 😢. Lottie looks amazing what a change in the first few months, have a fantastic week, Ali 🌧️🌤️🥶🇨🇦
Proven winners are big in Canada too! I fell in love with their brand through watching many hours of flower gardeners in America! It's really taking shape Ali, starting to feel at home at the plot! Sunnier days are coming Ali 🤞☀️I hope you had a lovely time camping 🏕 😊 x
Hi Laura, what a lovely shop, its a great feeling isn't it when you have a good garden centre shop lol. Those Azalia plants look so pretty & will be lovely once they get going. Last year i planted two peonies in big pots, they seemed to grow a bit then that was it, something told me to leave them till this year, good job i did they're growing brilliantly, oh i was so chuffed lol. I went & got some coriander seeds today & basil, I'm growing a lot of tomatoes (hopefully lol) so i can make pasta sauces & freeze it, so i thought i may as well grow basil to go with them, I'm doing a pot indoors & some outside, I'm making a lot of guacamole lately I'm craving it so again i thought may as well grow coriander too. Wow look at those potatoes, well done love oh i bet you were buzzing 😅 i sit in my conservatory with a cuppa & stare at all my plants 😅 i love it. Catch ya later love, have a good weekend, 👋👋 xx
Hey Carol 👋 isn't that the magic of gardening, I had a similar experience to your with your peoney with a salvia and then out of no where the following year it came back so strong!! Oh the home made pasta sauce for the freezer is such a good idea!! I hope you get lots of toms! I do the exact same thing, I could sit there for hours just looking at all the plants and then straight out the window at my broad bean flowers! It's a wonder why I have such bad luck with house plants 🙈😅 have a lovely rest of your week and see you very soon 🥰xx
brill teepee's! and yay, container spuds!!! its looking so bright there with you. its been fairly grotty the last week down here. ohhh wow, so many seedlings!! hopefully you can get those peppers looking stronger with the new specific compost. i look forward to seeing how they get on.
Hey Lorna 👋 container spuds 🙌 you know the harvest is going to be so much easier than the in ground ones 🙈 so many seedlings, they bring me so. I really hope the feed, soil and bigger pots will save them 🙏
I’ve grown sweet dumpling for a few years in Northumberland uk. Grow well They’re great little squashes. Quite a garden centre haul. So looking forward to seeing you sow & more importantly harvest some goodies. The Holland red spring onions look amazing 🤩
Hey Margaret 👋 wow that's such good news! You might be some what of a sweet dumpling expert 😌 do they vine or grow more like a courgette and get bushy? 🤔 I am going to set away some more of the red spring onions in cells at home, aren't they just gorgeous 🤩
Enjoyed your update and the lovely garden centre haul! I too have been using various sizes of Elho pots for some years now and agree about the long term quality of them. Hopefully potting on your plants in a more fertile mix will be just the tonic they need.🤞🏻. Love the teepee’s, going to be doing mine sometime this week, so thanks for the inspiration. Happy gardening Laura!
Hey Kaz 👋 the pots are great, I really like them and they aren't overly expensive either! I hope the potting on and feeding fixes them 🌶🍅 enjoy your time gardening and hope you keeping well 🥰
Hey Laura how lovely to see you again 😊 l grew Lady Di runner beans three years ago and never looked back they are fantastically tasty and not stringy at all ,you will love them if you a lover of runner's.And l also grew sweet dumpling as well and l think they are my favourite, easy to grow and perfect in every way,had them on my kitchen table for decoration far ages as they are so so cute ❤ love the look of the scarlet spring onions, very interesting . Couldn't help noticing judst how many snail's are about this year think its probably because of all the rain we've had and still having 😏 l done four packets of sweet peas they have come up but look a little pale so of to the garden centre to get some more tomorrow.l also did four packets of Coriander 100% germination the snail's had the lot over night l was not happy at all as the Coriander was incredibly healthy and l was so proud of it.Thankyou for sharing Laura happy gardening 🌱🌱🌱💞
Hey Joyce 👋 I was debating between two other runner bean packets, and then I found this one and it was the one I had on my list! Oh I am so excited for these sweet dumplings now! Lots of really good feedback on them! So many snails my pallet collars are full of them 🧐🤨 I cant believe they munched 4 packets of coriander, I am not surprised you weren't happy 🫣 thankfully there is time to sow more, keep at it and stay possitive 💖🤗
Nice one! I always buy more that I need to at garden centres LOL I can totally recommend a chilli feed called "Chilli Focus" - it is used at every watering. Looks like the beans caught a bit of a cold - they'll bounce back!
You are making so much progress! I am so proud of you. The discolored beans need planted but the one with brown may be the variety. Excited to see them grow up your teepee. Hugs
Hey Rebecca 👋 getting there bit by bit, the grass and weeds along the beds are getting abit out of control 🙈 I need to look at that! I hope the beans perk up, my first proper teepee 🤩 roll on summer!! 🤗
Lovely update, Laura 😊Nice to see you back on the plot 🤗 That was a pricey garden centre trip 🫣 were the elho pots more than 2eur a pot? The pink Annabelle looks stunning 😍 ✨️ Delighted that all of your potatoes are coming up 😊 The leek seeds you bought are the same variety as what I grew last year (still to harvest, but beautiful stems 🙈...and i won't sow any this year...were just not eating any) 💚🌿
Hey Maiju 👋 wasn't the weather lovely at the weekend 🤩 the small elho 11cm were €1.69, the bigger 15cm ones were €2.50 and the big 40cm planters were €25 each 🙂 I love leeks so much I can't wait now , I am sowing them a little later than I'd like but judging from your garden they should hold well in the ground over winter 🤞🤞💚💚
@thetinygarden_ That leek variety had no problem 💚, I'd be the same as you with the rust (if not even more 😉) and they are perfect. I was hoping that once I'll grow the leeks, we might eat more of them, but we don't.....eagerly awaiting for 1st potato harvest 😋
Hey Elizabeth 👋 I've only just started using it, I bought 8 bags about three weeks ago to top my raised beds at the plot, I really like the look of it so far! 😁
I planted my spuds out on 17th March too and thought they had floated out of their containers but no, here they come, yay! My garden is about the same size as yours, and my dining table has a similar number of seedlings 😂😂😂 love your tepee s I'm going to copy 😮 love from Dublin x
Floated there way out 🤣 that funny Sandra, delighted to hear they are still intact and growing up in Dublin!!! It's so nice to hear I am not the only who uses every inch of space of their dining table for plants 🤣 copy away!! 🤭xx
Good on you for the wonderful garden center haul! At the end of last season, we acquired two marked-down azaleas, and two high-bush blueberry plants About the lighter green of your pole bean leaves...makes me think, "Chlorosis," which is a kind of plant anemia. I know beans aren't acid lovers *per se,* but your soil may be more alkaline than they like because if the pH is too high the plants can't uptake necessary iron. I also know that some varieties, notably of some runner beans, just have lighter, more chartreuse-y leaves. I *believe,* although not having grown them myself I don't know with certainty, that rattlesnake pole beans produce a darker green leaf. Before you start acidifying your soil, though, test it for pH, whether you send a sample off to a lab, use a pH meter, or dig out a soil sample and with that in a clear glass, pour some distilled white vinegar over it. If it bubbles, the soil's alkaline. At the very least, you'd want a pH metre to give you a more accurate idea of how alkaline it is or isn't, and DO NOT put the vinegar directly on your garden bed until and unless you know how much adjustment of the pH is needed. And above all else, do not rely on my lack of expertise! As you've said, you can't take anything for granted in your allotment, and I'll add that you can't take anything for granted if you're "buying in" compost, either. Much gardening love from Northeast Ohio, U.S.A. 😊💚💚💚💚💚😊
Hey B Halliwell 👋 I have fallen in love with the azaleas it's the first time I have ever seen one! I just googled the blueberries you picked up, they look SO good! I did see 'Chlorsis' as I was doing a garden google to figure out what might be wrong! I used the same compost on nearly all my seedlings and they all pretty much look pale! Testing the soil would be really interesting since I bought the few shrubs and the blueberry I have become more interested in acid/alkaline soil. All the soil in the home garden was bought in over 2 years ago as general multipurpose compost and an annual mulch of farmyard manure. I don't have any idea what the ph is, this homemade test sounds like a bit of fun! Haha 😆 note taken I won't apply vinegar directly! Greatly appreciate your tips! Hope the weather is shinning in Ohio 🤞have a lovely weekend in the garden 💖🥰
@@thetinygarden_ Never??? You've truly never seen an azalea before now? They're related to rhododendrons which seem to be very popular in the British Isles and Ireland, or have I missed the mark in thinking rhododendrons are commonly used in Irish landscaping? (Or, just on larger Irish estates, perhaps?) When I was a kid, azaleas seemed to have been *de rigeur* for suburban home landscaping.. I can't recall any neighbor's home from my childhood that didn't have one or the other in the front garden (foundation plantings, mainly), and/or Japanese yew. I somehow got the idea (as a cranky old adult) that they must be very, very common in your part of the world, the azaleas and the rhododendrons, both. We shall see how these blueberries are, once the young bushes bear fruit. That's assuming, of course, that we can keep the deer, the opossums, the raccoons, and the birds away from the berries, and the deer away from the bushes, themselves, in addition to keeping them away from the berries. Garden lore or wisdom says to plant two different varieties of blueberry bush of the same type (both highbush, or both lowbush, or both rabbiteye, for example) that bloom at the same time. Pale seedlings, pale plants...it could be as you've mentioned, that they need more overall light, or more, and more direct, sunlight. Old-time farmers used to judge their soil's pH by tasting a handful of the ground in the field/s, and as farming was their livelihood, I have to suppose they knew exactly what they were tasting. In addition to not attempting to acidify soil by applying vinegar (of any type), in this day and age you'd probably do well to eschew putting soil in your mouth. Soil does become more acid as it acquires more and more organic matter. Thanks for the good weather wishes 🥰💖; it's partly cloudy today and we've a forecast for rain by nightfall, then steady rain until Wednesday next when we'll see some sun and then more showers, but this is actually quite usual for this time of year. And we do need the precipitation as it has been drier than usual. Much gardening love from Northeast Ohio. 😊 💚💚💚💚💚😊
i do like a good garden centre shop. seeing your pots reminds me i need to pot up my tomatoes . glad your potatoes have can up i was in the same position
Love how easy hydrangeas are to propagate so you’ll be able keep them going forever 😊 loved your garden centre haul! 😊 with a bit of luck your chillies will romp away now they have had your TLC x
Hey Pammie 👋 I've only ever propagated basil 🙈 my plan this year is to do some research on how to take cuttings of different plants to fill out the garden and plot next year! There is a buddleia in the field and red currant in the car park near my house, I've had my eye on them for a while! I hope the chillies and toms pull through 🤞xx
You should try the paper towel and zip bag method for germination. I use it foe almost everything. Beans, tomato, peper, melon, cucumber, pumpkin seeds and more. I dont have to wait for weeks to see germination, in a few days alla seeds are rooting. Love youe videos, keep going 🌹
I tried that method with the peanuts and it worked a treat, I didn't think about chitting other plans! That has given me some food for thought, did you even try chitting carrots? 🥕 So lovely to hear you love the videos 🤗🥰
Hi Laura, thanks for the name drop the BFB is great stuff, if you put it in a hole try not to put the plant straight on top put a sprinkle of soil in first and then the plant, if you forget any BFB don't worry about it just sprinkle some around the plant trying not to get the leaves, and either give the soil a tickle to mix or just let the rain wash it in, either way it'll eventually get down to those roots at the bottom. That is one heck of a Garden Center shop over 300 Euro that's roughly £250 in our money ha ha ha. Nice to see you smiling on your Allotment and it's coming along great, but any tips and advice i give you is something that i have done myself, i don't give advice and tips unless i have 100% done them myself it's only fair. Take Care and Stay Safe lets hope we have a heatwave soon. Barry (the Wirral, ENG) xx
Hey Barry 👋 I did get a bot if the blood fish and bone on the leaves and I thought, uhoh! I just gave the potato leaves a little shimmy hopefully no damage was done!! We have had SO much rain since i was at the plot so hopefully it finds it way down! I appreciate all the tips, it is so helpful! I have both hands crossed for a heatwave!! ☀️😎 all the best and enjoy the long weekend!! 🤗x
Do love a hydrangea Annabelle - you usually see them in white so the pink will be lovely! The dried flower heads are wonderful as well. I don’t plan on growing turnips, but those do look tempting! 😊 thanks for another lovely update x
Hi Laura Isn't it exciting, we're in May and gardening is in full swing between sowing and planting 😊 I was chuffed to see that you bought the same squash seeds as me the sweet dumpling . We should keep each other in touch of how they are doing. I haven't sown mine yet as I have been extra busy in my orchard but I am planning on getting them under way this week sometime 😁 your sweet peas look like mine, I just went ahead and put them out in the bed in hopes they will do ok. I'm not really into hardening off my plants, I just get them straight in when I think they are ready. So far all has gone well. So glad to see your potatoes popping up and they look extremely healthy, nice strong green colored leaves. My potatoes are just starting to pop up, they're in those half barrels I told you about 😊 so far so good ha ha . You've picked some beautiful shrubs to plant out and I look forward to seeing their progress. Have a wonderful weekend Laura, I look forward to your next video xx ❤
Hey Julie!! 👋 Oh now you are talking! I am so up for that with the squash, I sowed mine yesterday evening! 🙌 Hopefully both of our sweet peas take off, I know its not ideal but it is nice to know this is something you're experiencing similar with them 🙈 The potatoes gave me such a buzz when I was up there, genuinely thought they were gonners after all the rain! Its so lovely to see their foliage 🤩 Have a lovely evening Julie and have fun in the garden!! 🥰🤗 xx
We had the same problem with seedlings, especially the tomatoes. They are purple, too. It is a case of overwatering and maybe up potting shock. This is a journey, I planted plenty of everything and am getting over the 1-2 out of ten not being able to save. I did learn how to fold leggy seedlings with a crochet hook or Japanese chops sticks. That was a surprise. Enjoy the journey. g
Hey Glenna 👋 I didn't even realise I was over watering 🙈 oh wow folding a leggy plant with a chopstick is a skill I need to learn, I've snapped so many stems this season trying to get them into a pot!
@@thetinygarden_ Check out "Jamies Country Living," how to replant leggy seedlings. And Garden Well, Eat Well, To FIX long stem seedlings. Good planting. g
I love a good garden centre shopping spree 😁 Your allotment is looking so good! I've been spending the last several weekends trying to tame my garden, and it's finally starting to look like I've achieved something 😂 I don't have anything to plant out yet, which might be a mistake but I need to dig up and sift the soil where I had had brambleberries growing so that hopefully they don't come back. They really aren't a good one for in-ground in a small garden, even if you think you'll stay on top of the pruning. They just send suckers out everywhere, some several metres away from the original plant. I was shocked by how long some of the roots were 😅
Hey Erratic Perfectionist 👋 it feels good after putting in the hard work clean up the space 🙌 I've heard brambles are like weeds they lean over and root everywhere!! Hopefully you get on top of it and don't feel defeated! Bit by bit and your garden will be transformed! P.s I hope the curtains are coming along nicely 🥰
@@thetinygarden_ yep, brambles spread roots underground as well as rooting from the tip if it touches the ground. The fruit was delicious, especially the silvanberry, but my plan is to prioritise plants that aren't going to try to take over the entire garden. Thank you 😊 I've taken a break after finishing the first set of curtains, but I've been mentally preparing to get back into it the next rainy weekend. Just watching you tackle the allotment preparation inspired me to get out into my own garden once the weather was cool and dry enough to make it possible to spend a decent amount of time doing things outdoors! I'm envious of how much you have growing at the moment! I'm sure it'll be such a productive year for you!
Thank you Anne! I've already sown most of them! I was so chuffed with the TeePees! Adds so much structure to the allotment! I feel like a real allotment gardener now!!
Hi laura, How strange Carl's just got me a hydrangea last week! £8 it was. Iv also got two of those zehlia in the front garden so beautiful. Iv just also got some PINK blueberries, let's see how they come along. 😂😂😂 carls just put the blood onions well set them off he said they are taking their time germinating so be patient. Snowball tulips I done them last year and they done well ❤ can't wait to see all these wonderful seedlings growing in the plot. Omg those honey bear !! Looks lush and quite spooky for Halloween 🎃 You have soooo many goodies 😉 love it. We always use tomarite for our chilli plants. Yeyyyy for potato's 🥔 I'm going to set some more French beans off tomorrow and start to harden my peas off so we can get them uo the allotment in May. Thanks for the potato tip on getting tubers il use it for my sspc lol
That's a bargain price! They are just gorgeous plants I can't wait to have flowers!! I am going to set away a few more of the blood ones inside, they look so cool, they best germinate quick!!! Ah I can't wait now Tracey, just spent the evening potting on the dahlias. I think I have 10 all together, i did the swede in the carboard tubes, but its very leggy wondering will I start again 🫣a bit more sun and we can get everything into the ground!! 🤗💖
@thetinygarden_ I think out of all the dhalia I set away I have like 4 because of snail / slug damage. Gutted but four is better than none. It's getting to the best time now weather will be changing. Can't wait to see the squash they look super cool and spooky for Halloween. Have a great week ahead and hope your seedlings are looking better since being potted on.
Hey Louise, lovely to hear from you 🥰 oh I am so glad you like the teepees as well! How the potatoes didn't rot I don't know, the ground was like a swamp for almost 4 weeks! Happy Gardening, I hope the sun is shining where you are!! 🌞xx
Hi Laura hope your well 😊 really enjoyed this video your doing amazing we are rooting for you amazing stuff keep up the great work have an amazing night 😊🌸👍😎
Hey Jean 👋 now you mention it, I did see a lot of people grow the turnip last year! They only had two varieties in the shop there want much to pick from! That's such good news on the Lady Di...I just need to figure out ideas to cook/eat them!
Hi laura I've had trouble with my toms this year for the first time ever I think it's the peat free compost it's horrible bit behind watching yours videos but everything looks good you have worked really hard x
Hey Corrine 👋 thank you!! Same here my poor toms were look so sad 😢! I tried a new compost this year and funnily the first things to germinate were weeds!! It's definitely going to take some adjusting to the new composts and amending them with extra nutrients! Hope you are still having fun gardening despite the tomato trouble 🤞🌞xx
Hi Laura! This is why i asked you to get your self a p,o box number, you can probably get one for a short time , anyway i have planted out my melons and so far they are doing great get your self a bag of worm castings its so good for any kind of plant, ❤
Hey Rosemary 👋 I had a look at a p.o box and they are 400 euro upfront cost for a year.. not sure how much I would use it.. did you want to send me something? 🙈 Home grown melons wow, I hope you get lots of fruit! One for the list once I get a greenhouse sorted 🍈🍉❤️
@@thetinygarden_ hello ! I like to send you a letter but if I cost too much then that's ok ,over here in the states we can get one for a short time for less money depending on its size , yes the melons are doing fine I cant wait to get the first one ,I will keep you posted, take care sending hugs ❤
Hey Rosemary I did some research! I think I have found a solution for the PO box 😀 I am going to try to sign up today and I will be back with the details as soon as everything is confirmed! 🤞
Hey Rosemary 👋 i have rented a private locker, here is the postal address, I am really looking forward to receiving a letter from you ☺️ Laura - The Tiny Garden OOH32991382 OOHPod Locker, Cessna Avenue, Airport Business Park, Waterford, X91 NF7P, Ireland
I got them from Sow Diverse! Their germination was great but they have looked a little sad since I planted them out at the allotment I think I might have been a few weeks early! I get most of my seeds from Seeds Ireland, Brown Envelope Seed Company, Sow Diverse or Irish seed savers, they are all Irish companies and organic which is nice too!
Hey Jim 👋 most of the beds in my home garden I made myself from pressure treated deck boards, I purchased the pallet collar beds from a garden centre in Dublin called Johnstown Garden Centre! There is a little playlist on the channel called the redesign where I show you how I built them 🙂
The only problem with putting runner beans directly out side is mice love to dig up and eat also .runner beans don't want to go out until middle of May due yo frost.
Hopefully the mice don't dig them up!!!! That great to know as our last frost is end of march/ first week in April! Fingers crossed, they are still there next week! Maybe I'll sow some indoors just in case 🤭
Since about April last year I've bought so many garden items on teum at fantastic prices. Beechdale garden centre had a half-price sale on a huge selection of pots. I got 4 jc & co light green pot's half price.
Hey Elaine 👋 I've never heard of beechdale, I've just googled them and seen they are in enniscorty, not fair at all for a little spin!! JC & Co pots are so nice 🤩
I will be interested to see how you get on with the Honey Bear Squash. I've tried that variety for 3 years and I never got anything. Plants didn't get more than a few inches in size. Probably a bad pack of seeds or something. What was the costly mistake by the way? Did I miss that?
Hey Nitelite 👋 I have three honey bears poking out of the soil, I'll keep my fingers crossed 🤞 the mistake was not feeding and potting on my tomatoes and chillies, I would have lost them all! Thankfully the new pots, soil and feed I bought is working a treat!
Hi ..laura , Nice to see u again Wow just wow ,u have been busy Good look with every thing Not that u will need it Take care ,carnt wait see what u do Happy may first ,hopr it a good month for u , I have spent a couple of hours in our garden today ,it been beutiful
Hey Janet 👋 so busy I lost track of time on Sunday, didn't get in the door till 5.30!! I need all the luck, I've never grown at this scale before I hope my chilli's and peppers improve 🤭 So lovely to hear you got into the garden, I hope it gets sunnier and sunnier 🤞💖xx

I always say it's going to look worse before it gets better, tipping away at a bit at a time! So nice to see a bit of sun isn't it! I'm going to have to grt the suncream out my poor skin isn't use to it 🤣 enjoy your afternoon chilling out 💖

@@thetinygarden_ Yes I thought you might 🤦 Sorry 😊 Each one will climb a pole and then get jumbled at the top .lol They do freeze amazingly though. No blanching ,just chop and freeze on a tray then bag up .Still eating last year's and they still taste amazing 😍
@susiespearing6165 haha 🤣 I noticed they started to knot in their seed tray 🪢 no blanching, that is music to my ears! I can't wait, I hope they are still growing nicely since I planted them 🤞 still eating a harvest from last year is so cool Susie, did you have many plants?
@@thetinygarden_ I only ever plant 6 to 8 .Usually "Cobra" which are wonderful and sometimes 6 Violette podded .Made 10 large ziplock bags full which I've used in stews and casseroles all winter .

I really hope the feed, soil and bigger pots will save them 🙏
Those flowers are absolutely gorgeous. I have them and they are always the head turners. 😍
They are showstoppers! 😍
I am going to set away some more of the red spring onions in cells at home, aren't they just gorgeous 🤩
I hope the potting on and feeding fixes them 🌶🍅 enjoy your time gardening and hope you keeping well 🥰
@@thetinygarden_ Thanks Laura. Here’s to a brighter and warmer week for us all 🙏
Hey Laura how lovely to see you again 😊 l grew Lady Di runner beans three years ago and never looked back they are fantastically tasty and not stringy at all ,you will love them if you a lover of runner's.And l also grew sweet dumpling as well and l think they are my favourite, easy to grow and perfect in every way,had them on my kitchen table for decoration far ages as they are so so cute ❤ love the look of the scarlet spring onions, very interesting .
Nice one! I always buy more that I need to at garden centres LOL
I can totally recommend a chilli feed called "Chilli Focus" - it is used at every watering.
Looks like the beans caught a bit of a cold - they'll bounce back!
Hey Steve 👋 thank you! I will do a little online search for that feed! Fingers crossed the weather stays sunny 🌞
Lovely update, Laura 😊Nice to see you back on the plot 🤗
That was a pricey garden centre trip 🫣 were the elho pots more than 2eur a pot?
The pink Annabelle looks stunning 😍 ✨️
Delighted that all of your potatoes are coming up 😊
The leek seeds you bought are the same variety as what I grew last year (still to harvest, but beautiful stems 🙈...and i won't sow any this year...were just not eating any) 💚🌿
Hey Maiju 👋 wasn't the weather lovely at the weekend 🤩 the small elho 11cm were €1.69, the bigger 15cm ones were €2.50 and the big 40cm planters were €25 each 🙂 I love leeks so much I can't wait now , I am sowing them a little later than I'd like but judging from your garden they should hold well in the ground over winter 🤞🤞💚💚
Hi Laura I’ve grown sweet dumpling up a wooden arch. It didn’t go up and over 😢 but loves growing up trellis. They are so pretty 😍
Oh thank you for letting me know Margaret 🤗 they are gorgeous, I am really excited for them!
Your teepees look fantastic! It will be a teepee season for me very soon too. Great scores at the garden centre - ❤
Thank you Laitae 💖 ah its nice to treat yourself to a few little statement items and I promised myself I would try better with the flowers 🥰 x
That multipurpose compost you've put on your potatoes and garden beds I love do my seeds in it as well👍
Hey Elizabeth 👋 I've only just started using it, I bought 8 bags about three weeks ago to top my raised beds at the plot, I really like the look of it so far!
At the end of last season, we acquired two marked-down azaleas, and two high-bush blueberry plants
About the lighter green of your pole bean leaves...makes me think, "Chlorosis," which is a kind of plant anemia.
(Or, just on larger Irish estates, perhaps?)
When I was a kid, azaleas seemed to have been *de rigeur* for suburban home landscaping..
I use a flowerpot on top of the canes, to hold the canes together, 😊instead of string
That it such a good idea Linda!!
i do like a good garden centre shop. seeing your pots reminds me i need to pot up my tomatoes . glad your potatoes have can up i was in the same position
I love a garden centre, always buy way more than I plan! 🤣 It was slow for the potatoes hopefully now I can harvest them end of June 🤞🤞
That's what you call a garden centre haul! Lots of lovely goodies there 👍. Hope the seedling rescue works and they soon start picking up for you 🤞🌱
Thank you Joe, I definitely treated myself 🤭 no signs of change just yet 🙈🌶🍅 I'll give it another few days and see!! 🤞
@@thetinygarden_ the principle is the same lovely, you can do it! Just look up when the best time to do it is🥰
You should try the paper towel and zip bag method for germination.
So lovely to hear you love the videos 🤗🥰
Hey Dora, the pink is gorgeous isn't it! I love turnips when they are really small! So glad you enjoyed it! xx
Hi Laura
Isn't it exciting, we're in May and gardening is in full swing between sowing and planting 😊 I was chuffed to see that you bought the same squash seeds as me the sweet dumpling .
Hopefully both of our sweet peas take off, I know its not ideal but it is nice to know this is something you're experiencing similar with them 🙈
The potatoes gave me such a buzz when I was up there, genuinely thought they were gonners after all the rain! Its so lovely to see their foliage 🤩 Have a lovely evening Julie and have fun in the garden!! 🥰🤗 xx
@thetinygarden_ This weekend I will direct sow the squash seeds so we will be about a week or so apart 😃👍
@@julieg1270 so exciting I started mine indoors! It's on the propagator, no action yet though!!
Good planting. g
Thank you!!
I love a good garden centre shopping spree 😁
Your allotment is looking so good!
I've been spending the last several weekends trying to tame my garden, and it's finally starting to look like I've achieved something 😂
I don't have anything to plant out yet, which might be a mistake but I need to dig up and sift the soil where I had had brambleberries growing so that hopefully they don't come back.
Great seeds and lovely garden you have. Love the teepees!
Thank you Anne! I've already sown most of them! I was so chuffed with the TeePees! Adds so much structure to the allotment! I feel like a real allotment gardener now!!
@@thetinygarden_ bet you do..
Hi laura,
How strange Carl's just got me a hydrangea last week!
Looks lush and quite spooky for Halloween 🎃
You have soooo many goodies 😉 love it.
We always use tomarite for our chilli plants.
Yeyyyy for potato's 🥔
I'm going to set some more French beans off tomorrow and start to harden my peas off so we can get them uo the allotment in May.
Enjoyed your vidio ,here in scotland our last frost date is end of May so cant plant anything out yet
Thank you Anne, so pleased you enjoyed it! End of May is fast approaching, won't be long now!
Hi Laura 👋
Absolutely love your tepees they look fantastic. Also how exciting your potatoes are finally showing. Happy gardening take care Louise X
Hey Louise, lovely to hear from you 🥰 oh I am so glad you like the teepees as well! How the potatoes didn't rot I don't know, the ground was like a swamp for almost 4 weeks! Happy Gardening, I hope the sun is shining where you are!! 🌞xx
You made some really nice purchases. Yes you can't go shopping with out getting some seeds. Thanks for sharing your goodies with us. Happy gardening
Hey Renee 👋 I know, I only went for plant food, compost and pots! Thrilled this everything though! Thank you for watching, take care 🥰
Beautiful! Good luck with the hydrangeas. I keep trying but the deer have decimated mine😢

Doing good Carl, thank you! So pleased you still enjoy the videos! Always appreciate yours and Tracey's support means so much!! 🤗🤗
A really nice turnip is Tokyo Cross. Lady Di is a lovely runner bean.

Where did you get the rattlesnake beans Laura? I've looked in the Arboretum but they only seem to have the mainstream varieties.
Hi I like your raised beds at your home where did you buy them Jim
