Duuuude The Dear Hunter are like, the best band around these days, even though they're not heavy. Thanks for doing this!
So happy you reacted to The Dear Hunter. Very, very cool! Phenomenal live band. I recommend A Night on the Town if you are interested in another Dear Hunter reaction down the road.
Yea for sure, A Night on the Town is probably the most Dear Huntery song they've ever done, if that makes sense
Definitely makes sense. It is not my favorite song by them, but its still very good and a pretty solid reflection of the band.
The music video is also a companion to a lot of the music The Dear Hunter has made. They have released 5 albums, so far with a 6th part on the way, that are a part of a large narrative. The music video summarises the main points of the story. The child part is from "Act 1", the war part is from "Act 3", and most of the other stuff is from the act this comes from, "Act 5".
Never heard of this band but I loved it and the chorus was so good. Definitely checking this band out.
They're great! A few songs I enjoy alot: The Lake and The River, A Night On The Town, Red Hands, Waves, Is There Anybody Here. These are all from my two fav albums Act II and Act IV, but all their albums are great.
the old haunt is probably my favorite desr hunter track
I've seen The Dear Hunter twice and have their autographs on a poster in my room. One of my favorite bands.
One of my current favorite bands out there. But one of those you should take a whole concept album and listen trough it. This song's from the 5th concept album tied together called "Act V: Hymns with the Devil in Confessional".
Playful beautiful melodies mixed with vocal harmonies and classical instruments. All the songs trough the album tie together.
The horns at the start of this one are from a song called "The March" and the ending credits part is from "The Moon/Cascade" from the same album.
I have been a fan of The Dear Hunter for so many years. The level of musical/Instrument mastery is astounding. Great reaction! IF you liked them you should totally scope out some more recent stuff from TROPHY SCARS!
Love the change of pace man. Just started listening to this band personally so interesting to see them here! Have a good weekend dudes :)
Yes I love dear hunter. I have been waiting for this!!!
Oh man the dear hunter are so cool. So glad you reacted to this :)!
Between the Buried and Me - Viridian/White Walls (live)
I assure you, you won't regret it, BTBAM are one of the greatest bands of our time! The Dear Hunter are great too, glad you enjoyed them!
fpjesus whit walls love that song
White Walls is the gift that just keeps on giving!
This!!!
The Dear Hunter is an incredible band! Act IV is my favorite! Some other tracks I'd recommend are "Overboard" by The Kindred, and "Just a Ride" by Rishloo
Pleeeease do Just A Ride!
Cool to see The Dear Hunter on here! One of my favorites. Their song A Night On The Town would be a cool reaction
If you're looking for more "weird" music to feature on the channel, consider Diablo Swing Orchestra! They are an avant-garde metal band releasing a new album in like a month! It supposedly includes "swing, doom-country, choirs, three goats, lounge music featuring a slappin' bass, lovely strings and horns and the whole kalamazoo!"
Cheers for doing my request bro, i only started delving into this band around a month ago and they have quickly become one of my favorite bands, metal or not metal
If you enjoy the Dear Hunter, check out Thank you Scientist- Mr Invisible.
They're slightly similar, but with more of a jazzy kick to it.
Met Thank You on their first tour. Cool dudes.
Hell yea
Agreed, just found out about them a few days ago myself.
They also get a bit harder, and jazzier!! I love Thank You Scientist!
Oooh! glad to see you jamming to some TDH. You should listen to some of their older stuff.
My son turned me onto this masterpiece of musical deliciousness. He and some music majors from LATech did an absolutely fantastic cover of the first 3acts..I’m one proud mom indeed. To take this master of symphony on is one tough gig.. but they nailed it.. Auras in Allis if you feel like giving some love to those who have great taste in music and unbelievable talent to pull it off. I had the same reaction when I heard it for the first time..and my son singing it was mind blowing.
Glad to be seeing more mellow prog on your channel.
Also, Artification Language - Unself Portrait
So cool to see someone appreciate my favorite band and really dig the nuance of their style. Keep listening dude I suggest starting at act 1
Yay! The Dear Hunter!
Number 1. Hi mate! Regards from Finland!
One of my favorite bands right here.
Every Time I Die- Map Change!!!!!

Love this song and album. Been on my phone for months now.

The orchestral aspect makes this band so good. I love this band

Intervals - Moment Marauder
It's one of the grooviest songs I've heard these days.
Dear Hunter...my girlfriend's favourite band, I love them and I love her.
(Hey...Pain of Salvation bruh...)

this is my favorite band! You should watch the lyric video for A Night On The Town
Dude do a video for “A Night on the Town”. Definitely a better introduction to TDH’s sound compared to Gloria. Much more prog rockish and melodic!
The Receiving End of Sirens
^ the root origin of The Dear Hunter and its kind'a heavy and incredibly unique for 3 full vocalists and 3 guitars
Best band the past ten years.
Whenever you’re ready to hear something really heavy and not well known, Distorting of Perception by Until We Die is the song. I guarantee you haven’t heard crazier screams than his.
Hey dood! The Dear Hunter is absolutely one of my favorite bands of all time, so glad you were into them!
I am in a progressive hard rock band as well with an over-arching concept, and was wondering if you would be interesting in reacting to our music video as well! Its also story based/visual based and would make a great watch as well!
The Vox Arcanum, our video is called "The Tragedy of the Locke Family: Avon"
Also, if you like this style of music, you should check out the song Reimagined by The Contortionist
Keillen Allith - Gol-Goroth the Grey
The Agonist - Panophobia
Nekrogoblikon - Powercore
Do all of those PLEAAAAAAAASE !
Like Moths to Flames-Nothing Left to Sink
If you are ever again in the mood for something a little different and not as heavy, check out Toehider - This Conversation is Over. The guy behind the band is crazy in all sorts of good ways (which shows in the wackiness of some of his other tracks) and also does some very fine vocals. He was also a part of two recent Ayreon albums, if you've heard of them.
Unfortunately no chill time for me I’m stuck at work. My weekend starts on Tuesday 😆
Another really cool proggy band is Kiev, if you’re looking for something in this avenue check out Falling bough.
You still Gotta check out Trepalium- moonshine limbo tho hahaha
Hey man let`s start the new week with one of those:
1. Heaven Shall Burn - Hunters Will Be Hunted
2. Breakdown Of Sanity - Cardiac Silhouette
3. Emmure - Solar Flare Homicide
Have a great week!
If you like the instrumentals of this song you would enjoy Polyphia. Songs like Crush and their older stuff is the best. You should check it out.
The Faceless - Accelerated Evolution
Beyond Creation - Fundamental Process
not sure if you have heard of the band blackbriar or not but the song until eternity deserves a look.
This was a welcome change of pace. If you want to keep things on the lighter side check out Outrun the Sunlight - Stars in the Ocean. It's really atmospheric instrumental prog metal.
Love me some prog rock!, but you still gotta check out Cult Of Luna - Ghost Trail pls :)
elias jönsson some Cult Of Luna would be great!
If you're doing some more prog I'd love to see you do more Karnivool. Preferably alpha omega - ghost city sessions. Amazing song
Ice Nine Kills - Enjoy Your Slay!!
Atena - Oil Rigs or Done With The Darkness
These guys are amazing and definitely need more exposure
If you like this kinda vibe mixed with some crazy unclean vocal techniques, I'd really recommend Through the Thicket... Across Endless Mountains or Thorough.Modern, both by Exotic Animal Petting Zoo!
Truantreacts!! Please please react to The New Age - Pessimistic...or any song from them like The Truth, or Creature of Habit...The New age are honestly the best most unheard metal band I've ever seen or heard, absolutely original and magical
And i know everyone here would love them :) You're welcome
Can you do more by counterparts. If you do, do Stranger by Counterparts
coheed and cambria?
Plz do Breakdown of sanity Story of a stranger or From the depth! The dear hunter is an amazing band mate
I really love me some The Dear Hunter but I really can't stand it when the tracks are taken out of context. They are meant to be heard in the shape of the albums and I personally can't do it any other way.
Totally unrelated: if you want to keep doing also something different than I suggest "Automatonic Electronic Harmonics" by Steam Powered Giraffe. Would love to see your reaction this piece
Tasty tasty stuff,great band👌
Eidola if you like a bit more of this ambient style. They are super technical and vocally amazing
Lapse - Haken is a great prog metal song I have been listening to recently, I recommend you check it out its got an incredible solo and awesome baseline!
Check out Hail the Sun if you haven't already heard them, I think you'll enjoy their stuff :)
Blind Witness - Baby One More Notch
Architects- These Colours Don't Run!! :)
for a more mellow different change of pace lets not forget Katatonia ;)
Love The Fall of Hearts!
Night Is the new day and great cold distance are my fave albums, haven't heard much of the new album except the one single.....either way they are great!
Helllll yeah
I don't know if you do this sort of thing, I remember the video of one of your viewer's band you did.
My best friend happens to be a vocalist in a metalcore band, and they're actually putting out pretty good songs. It would be amazing if you could react to one of their songs and help out the small Dutch metalcore "scene" a bit :D
They're called To The Wolves, I recommend you check out their song Misguidance if you want to (:
EDIT: This song the the absolute shit, thanks for introducing me to this band :D
I'm not sure if you've ever reacted to Crystal Lake, but if not, you're missing out. They just released a new song, and it's AWESOME! Check out Crystal Lake - Apollo.

This song is about getting super high as fuck but it still cant hide you from yourself.
Ice Nine Kills - Communion of the Cursed please
Please Ceterum- Sidewinders. It's really good.
If you're looking for groovy djent-y metalcore, check out Euphoric State by Ghost Iris. Literally an amazing band that needs a lot more fans. Trust man, you'd definitely dig them.
Definitely very Chon-like but once the vocals kicked in, the rest reminded me of Panic at the Disco. 😊 Great tune, though! 👍❤
Bro! You *gotta* check out the new *SIGNS OF THE SWARM* song that dropped today! It's called "final phase"
Have a look at Bliss by Vacant Home. Very good melodic hardcore!!

Wintersun - Winter Madnessss
Hotel Books - Fears We Create (Ft. Chase Huglin) Please :)!!!
