I own 2 Offset pedals. David’s customer support is excellent. Like open handed drumming, it may take the world of drumming to catch up with this sensible ergonomic innovation. What would be awesome is to create right and left attachment compatible hi hat and remote hi hat stands.
Yes indeed that great! I made a hi-hat with an offset foot plate just for aesthetics. It looks great haha. At this time Dave is not looking to get into the hi-hat game. Maybe in the future : )
This review was one of the main factors when I bought mine. Like you said, with a lot of moving parts this can take forever to make feel any good. But once it's dialed in, holy cow is it great.
What an awesomely helpful overview. This gives me the confidence I need to give it a go. I absolutely love the idea of a totally balanced, equal double pedal. Thanks very much!
Thank you for your review Jim! I have some students that are true lefties and it's becoming time consuming to change the student drum set from righty to lefty and then back from lefty to righty. My idea was to have a symmetrical setup (2 hi-hats, rides, etc.) using the Offset Double Pedal. Not sure if this could work or just cause confusion to for new and existing students.
Wonderful informativ and teaching sharing. And more awesome rythmical perform. Excellent drum player with much feeling and quality. Big big big like for this brilliant perform and luminous sharing. SPlendid.
Great review! Thinking about buying myself an offset pedal, so my ergonomics are way more balanced and also as a lefty, I don’t have to stick with the fact that there is not really much choice in double pedals for left footed players. Only problem; I live in Europe, and can’t seem to find a dealer or distributor of these fine pedals… 😢

The drive shafts look to be quite short as it seems like your knees/legs are almost touching and maybe even bumping into the snare drum. This has been my only fear of picking this up for many years. I love the concept though. What are your thoughts and experiences with this?
Hi Jeremy. Thanks for checking out my video. Offset sells long shafts and short shafts as an option. I’ve used both. For me the short shafts are more comfortable. I am only 5’6” and I sit quite low and close to the snare. The shafts are also adjustable so you can slide the metal hex shafts in and out of the shaft housing… hope this helps!
I went to Offset's site to get setup information. This video is basically just reading the specs and not very helpful. Could you show how you actually set it up?
I have been in awe of this pedal for years, but have yet to pull the trigger due to that fact that I haven't seen any available with "long boards". Are you aware of any being produced in the future?
Thanks for watching the video. Yes they can. Make sure you keep your hex keys handy. There are several points where you can tighten the set screws and everything should feel solid again. That said I agree with you…

Sonora giant step offered an offset years ago. Also back in the day I borrowed a Schleischmann. Hideous 😮
Wow! Thanks for sharing. I never got to try the Schleischmann haha probably a good thing I didn’t …🥁
Lefty here too
Lefty family! : )
Great video but those atent counter weights on the beaters, they're memory locks

Let me reach out to my pals at offset and see if there are any solutions for the European market… in what Country so you reside ?
@@JimToscano That would be awesome! I am sure other drummers in Europe would like to buy these pedals. I am residing in the Netherlands.
Holy smokes that snare sound is 🔥
Thanks so much! I appreciate the comment and thanks for watching!

For this video and currently, are you using the drive shafts at their most elongated position or no?@@JimToscano

Would you recommend these pedals for a single bass player wanting better ergonomics and stability behind their kit? thanks
Yes indeed! I have use the beater housing and one offset pedal in the studio for single bass playing as well.👍🏻
I’ve had my offset double for about a year….it’s definitely been a game changer for me ! Thanks for the very informative video 👍

I don’t think they are doing longboards at this time but I will definitely mention it to them!🙂👍🏻🥁thanks for watching

The drive shafts are the weakest point. The U-joints easily develop "play."
