OMG I feel like this may be the second best volume after V4 in terms of soundtrack. It sounds so versatile genre-wise, from Brand New Day to Celebrate to Hero to Touch The Sky to Fear all in one pack. I'm also happy that they infused more abstract thems like trust and love and fear into the songs. A complete 11/10 - this ost feels exactly like the journey but in music form. My (small) problem with the first three volumes ost is that they all sound very angsty and there are barely any tracks that are there to balance things out and make you feel more positive in a wholesome way. But this soundtrack finds a balance between being tragic and hopeful at the same time. On top of that all the new voices singing in the ost are welcome. The soundtrack has consistently improves throughout all the volumes and I doubt V8 will disappoint ;D
I'd understand if you'd rather not talk about this There's always a chance That we might remain in ignorant bliss Most of the time We coast along Safe from the storm We follow our hearts Trust what feels right Keep to the norm We are lucky If our lives can avoid it But fear changes all of our choices Who will you see? There in the darkness When no one is watching Who will you be? When you're afraid And everything changes Will you see a stranger? Feel proud or betrayed? All of your life Guided by truth Right from the start Then one twist of fate In the blink of an eye And it all falls apart What happens then When all that you knew Just fades away? When you've lost all control You broke from your soul And fear has it's day? Will you make the right choice in that moment? Will you stand and be brave or be broken? We live in fear that we might fail Fear that we'll succeed Fear that we may not provide The things our loved ones need But our greatest fear will be realized If we fall and lose ourselves to fear We've become what we feared all our lives Who will you see? There in the darkness When no one is watching Who will you be? When you're afraid And everything changes Will you see a stranger? Feel proud or betrayed?
@@aslprincess3944 Oh, sorry ı thought you were joking about dumb people doing dangerous stuff. In that case, what do you mean bout your first comment? I believe every living organism that is aware of its surroundings would feel fear? I suppose fungi and plants cant feel fear? was that what you meant?
This is 1000 percent the ozpin song. He's going too be the last one stadning, regardless of who wins or losing he'll be the one too deal with the aftermath. It's both an assurance and a warning, as he has seen fear tear people apart time and time again.
The main problem I have with the sound track is that most of it is really boreing just look at until the end it's just Casey just wispering in the microphone I give this sound track a 6/10 not as bad as vol 5&6 soundtracks but not as good as 1-4
Nyla Jordan your like the only person who like my comments. 1 person called negative because I gave let's get real a 6/10 and that I hate Nora so thank you
Nyla Jordan I should have brought this up in my mini reviews but I think the reason why I hate the vol 5&6 so much because it all sounds the same when I go back to listen to the vol 1-4 soundtracks it all sounds different like compare gold&die.i can definitely say I never want to listen to hero ever again but I really like this song, trust love, and touch the sky because they sound different and gets me feeling good.then we have until the end which is what the 8th song when she is wispering into the microphone while a sad piano plays in the background.but then again it's just my opinion.
Nyla Jordan me too Jeff is a talented guy and I'm not saying that some of these songs are trash because I'm a troll I'm complaining about these songs because I love his work and want to see him do better then his daughter wispering into the microphone.he brought us I think are great songs that tell us more about the characters (now weather that songs are better then seeing the characters back stories is a discussion for a another time)

I'd understand
if you'd rather not talk about this
There's always a chance
That we might remain in ignorant bliss
Most of the time
We coast along
Safe from the storm
We follow our hearts
Trust what feels right
Keep to the norm
We are lucky
If our lives can avoid it
But fear changes all of our choices
Who will you see?
There in the darkness
When no one is watching
Who will you be?
When you're afraid
And everything changes
Will you see a stranger?
Feel proud or betrayed?
All of your life
Guided by truth
Right from the start
Then one twist of fate
In the blink of an eye
And it all falls apart
What happens then
When all that you knew
Just fades away?
When you've lost all control
You broke from your soul
And fear has it's day?
Will you make the right choice in that moment?
Will you stand and be brave or be broken?
We live in fear that we might fail
Fear that we'll succeed
Fear that we may not provide
The things our loved ones need
But our greatest fear will be realized
If we fall and lose ourselves to fear
We've become what we feared all our lives
Who will you see?
There in the darkness
When no one is watching
Who will you be?
When you're afraid
And everything changes
Will you see a stranger?
Feel proud or betrayed?
I feel like this song summarizes a main theme in rwby and I love it
The single quality that is common across every living creature on this planet is...
You know :)
Eyes?
It's not actually fear, though. Lots of living things don't seem to feel fear.
@@aslprincess3944 There is a difference between fear and stupidity.
@@doga9742 What's your point? I genuinely don't see the connection between the topic of stupidity and what Ozpin said.

I still think this song has a double meaning, not only is Oscar talking to ironwood, but also himself
It can go to anyone's POV esp Yang and her PTSD. Also for V9 esp the bit of the black smoke scene
Thnak you so much for uploud the songs the same day!!!
