    Playing with important Wing Chun attributes such as:
    Centerline (triangulation),
    Forward pressure,
    Footwork,
    Structure (circular forces & redirection)
    Bio-mechanics
    Sensitivity and automatic response
    Anything else you guys can think of when practicing Chi Sau / Gor sau?

    Great training! Excellent skill from both in dealing with another very skilled player while maintaining to WC body and principles listed above.

    Looks very good, doesn't look weak and slappy like chi sau can,you both also dont look lost when there's a gap and are trying to hit and not just chase hands. You also have no problem with putting a clip up where its just you dominating like a lot of teachers do

    Hey Nima, what are your thoughts on iron rings? I saw a picture of Ip Man doing SLT with iron rings on his arm, not sure if it was doctored. Did Sigung CST ever talk about them?

    • @MindfulWingChun
      @MindfulWingChun  Год назад +1

      Yes he did actually. he said he Ip Man was given the rings by a student who made them and he was asked to try it out. Then a photo was taken. So Ip Man never actually used the rings for practice.
      In my opinion, its not very useful for training Wing Chun training and will cause bad habits

    When going a bit more free flow, I would add: remaining fluid and smooth in movements and actions, obviously remaining balanced in every move, as well as exerting great control especially when adding elbows, knees, kicks and sweeps.

    I've been wondering. If you would hipotecally dominate Wing Chun to the fullest, let's say Grandmaster CST against himself (on the same level), who would came on top ?

      if 2 ppl have the same level then it really is a matter of who can connect first

      I wouldn't call it that. If you have a look at the description of the video you'll get a better idea of what it helps cultivate

    At some points there seems to be a bit of pushing towards the partner and also some rigidity from the partner as well, where your forces clash in what seems to be a quite hard way. I always thought that we should allow our structure to rotate in such cases and allow our partner to lose stability in the direction he is pushing in.

    • @MindfulWingChun
      @MindfulWingChun  Год назад +3

      We were both trying not to push, but project the force into each other's structure and effect the partners balance. Practice makes perfect 😊

      You know, you should really stop being so bitter about the time where your students got manhandled by mine at the Ving Tsun Athletic Association in Hong Kong. Instead of going back and thinking about why they were no match in Chisau for others and improving yoir understanding and their skills, you have become a bitter and grumpy man and have become a keyboard warrior and commenting on all the videos against CST lineage.
      Being a keyboard warrior is really jot the way!!
      Go back to the drawing board and learn from your mistakes. You could even secretly join my online school (to save your ego if you want), and learn how it was that your students were thrown around but people older and smaller than them...
