Chum Kiu is the second form in the Leung Ting Wing Tsun System. Chum Kiu means "Seeking Bridges" and combines hand movements with leg movements while isolating the posture.
Often, people want to skip this form and go straight to Biu Tze or Wooden Dummy, but without the concepts and training in Siu Nim Tau and Chum Kiu, the student can form a misconception of the higher level forms or worse, hurt themselves. - Спорт
helpful video!!! Many thanks for producing this.
Of course! Thank you for watching. Anything else you would like a video on?
Good job. Greetings from Poland Poznan city Wing Tsun Kuen Leung Ting
Thanks and greetings from Chicago!
Good job from the foreign Si Fu ! 👏👏👏👍👍💪💪😂😂
Thank you!
You really helped me to fully master the form. Thank you!
You are very welcome! Is there something in particular you would like to see us do next? Let us know and thank you for commenting.
Great form and execution. Powerfull and decontracted in the same time as it shall be. Compare to other video where people do it to fast or to slow with no straight line, bended knees on kick, and no power in their form, your video is the best that i found on RUclips. And do it in miror with all the explanation and the names of the mouvements is a great help to memorize it. Thank you sifu.
Thank you!
@@wingtsunmartialarts you're welcome I practiced wing tsun during few years and I still do the two first Tao to prepare my joins before doing calisthenic training and for my pleasure. I was here because I want to rewatch it to correct me and your form is really great. ;)
@@mvdtg so glad to hear that we could help you out and we love to hear that you use it for other training as well. Keep up the good work! What other videos would you like to see from us? Let us know how we can improve and be of service to you. Thank you for the great comments and feedback. Keep checking back to see new videos and be sure to like and subscribe. We would greatly appreciate it!
Very clean execution of LTWT as practiced in America, the way we used to do it in the '80s. This is how it is taught to intermediate students. Personally, at higher levels, I like to see more flow as one technique flows into the next creating more "synergy". Still, I will probably recommend this video to students learning this form.
Thank you! This is meant to be a follow along video so student’s can clearly see the movements. When actually doing the form we are also looking for coordination, balance, and precision in the execution of the movements.
Genuinely thinking about coming to learn from this school I love the demonstrations simplicity and speed yet you can understand
Great! We'd be happy to have you!
very impressive love this demonstration of this wing chan sifu
You're welcome!
Nice work I'm practicing this on my Lunch 🥋🥊⚡
Great! Keep training 🤜🏾
Thank you for teaching 🙏

All style allfights😊
QUASI PERFETTO . DOUBLE TAN SAU NON SI FA COSÌ 😢 BOCCIATO , PER LEUNG TING .
QUASI PERFETTO?! Total failure if you ask me FCOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
E tutto scorretto....mancano le basi😢
I prefer the moves to be more explosive
I only know Wong Shun Leung lineage style. I have no idea about other styles.😅
Correct Kung Fu must be taught thoroughly and properly. Most of the movements demonstrated in this video are not being demonstrated correctly. It appears to be copied rather than learnt. Totally ineffective.
Totally agree!
how do you know?
@@feilox 45 years learning and training from good students from Ip Mans school. Someone who is only copying , you can tell by just looking. The same as an accomplished musician can listen to a beginner and know if they will get it.
Seeing this I wouldn't consider Leung Ting a 'good' disciple of Ip Man; many techniques don't even consider the "center line'
He wasn’t a good student at all. After Ip passed he just cashed in. It’s difficult to imagine Ip Man actually taught him due to how old he was. Usually a new student would be taught by another more senior student. Not by the master.
How do you know? Do you have videos of your own? I'm curious to see the difference
@@yellowauramusic How do I know?! Simply because I practise it. 😉
Own videos? Why should I post own videos if my Sifu and Sigung perform it the way it should be instead of someone of their students?
This is an 'old' video of my Sigung performing CK 1 & 2: ruclips.net/video/IRATN-uhHh0/видео.html
WingChun is highly about efficiency; the less movement and the shorter the distance, the better and DEFINITELY guarding the 'centerline' which is KEY CONCEPT in WingChun.
Do you practise it?
Great form and masterful execution
What I find interesting is the second section has the elbow and side kick that there WC don't seem to have
Is this unique to Master Ting system?
Was it added to Chum Kil, a revision?
We know that GGM Leung Ting did a lot of research into the forms, but to our knowledge the sidekick portion has not been changed. However this would be a great question to ask him!
@@wingtsunmartialarts so it's then a case that the people who don't have that section left it out or weren't taught it
Will you be doing applications of the forms ?
@@vinvass2674 we do them in our school every day! 😄
As a Grandmaster in Wing Tsun situated in Chicago, I really find myself wondering about the legitimacy here due to the absence of the Dim Sau, double Queng Pau, Quan Sun Lau, Lim Hong Sau and lastly double-finger choke to the nostril area techniques. This is almost as bad as Wong Shun Leung's technique. Almost...

To medio: Wow. Never had your ego put in check, huh? This video was put on for demonstrative follow-along.
@@mookjong3703 You know where you can find me.

To doubt a grandmaster before you've seen his work speaks of your weak character. I don't do video demonstrations, but I will humble you, when you come to pay a visit.
Agree. This is not Leung Ting Wing Tsun. Just close.
The meaning of Kung Fu is about constantly searching to improve your art. It’s not about trying to be better than another practitioner.
