So fun to hear Courtney,Kevin& Ryan!Thx for having them on & hearing about Kevin & Ryan’s100.& Tim Tollefson’s vert with the happy meals! Love Courtney!! Great interview!!!
"What do you have against the Hat industry" BAHAHAH - that was great. I have always wondered that about Courtney also - why she doesn't wear a hat but like you said.....who are we to judge:)
I'd love for someone to ask Courtney to dig down a bit more into what puts her in the pain cave. I imagine it's a range of things, but e.g. sore quads? Sore knees? Blisters? What pain is she suffering, because she sure doesn't show it when she's blinding us with that smile.
I've heard her say a lot of times it's her feet. During an interview about Hardrock, she said she was just exhausted even 400 meters into the race. She also described being so tired around mile 80 or so that her legs weren't really going. She said (if I recall correctly; quotes might not be verbatim) "I told [my pacer], 'We're walking.' Then I said, 'Okay, we'll try a little shuffling.' Then finally we started running. Not fast, but it was running. I mean my legs were tired and hurting but at least they were doing what my brain wanted them to do." She is so amazing. I'm always trying tell myself during a run, "Courtney wouldn't consider this adequate criteria for walking."😂 She also said, "There's a whole lot of running past the point where you think you can't go on." You might well enjoy her interview with Rich Roll (so search Dauwalter Rich Roll) and also Singletrack (interviewer's name is Finn) recently interviewed her and gets into the mindset.
I just can’t help grinning from ear to ear listening to this ensemble.

The boss and happy meals at the top of the Alps may be the most American thing ever.

What kind of bandaid is on the knee of Courtney?
Not sure but I think I need one 😁
