Couple ?s -
1. How did you do TrackIR? Reverse? - I struggle with projector interference.
2. Does this work with 3D Projectors for 3D Vision Surround (or using TV PLAY?) - My Acer does 3D but I haven't tried surround 3D with 3 of these?
VR this VR that. Personally I think VR is a brain buster, something you can’t play for hours on end without your head exploding.
VR is here, but the experience of not using anything over your eyes feels more realistically immersive.
Sure, I agree with you. And not only inmmersive, but also better for your eyes and brain. VR has still low resolution and low screen refresh, so close of your eyes. Not everybody can play much time without headaches.
in fact i don't know if VR glasses could replace this rig (i think VR has 360 coverage)
everything is 3d in real world but this setup in not in 3d world. vr has full geometry 3d just like you see in real life
this is why we have 2 eyes , so we can see the flat 2d landscape as 3d :) reality is in 1d we process it to other dimensions , this stuff is fucking deep.
Buck Wilder - if we can replicate things in a videogame, i think the logic behind 3d math is correct (as far as opengl is concerned). we represent objects in different vector spaces (model, world, view, projection) and to transform 3d coordinates from one space to another, we use transformation matrices (scale, rotation, translation, or a combination), etc... :)

VR is leaps and bounds ahead of the immersion a 2D screen gives you. You have no clue what you are talking about. Go try a Rift or Vive.
Very cool this game simulator, I was imagining playing counter strike global ofensive, players unknowns Battleground and Battlefield 1 in those machines ... (what games of first Personal shooter "FPS" appeared there in the video somebody knows please the name of these games, thanks ) ... And playing helicopter also found it fantastic, very realistic graphics ... hugs
Why is it everytime I see people playing sims on the Nurburgring they are absolutely shite.... If you want to showcase something get somebody in who knows the track ffs.

Nice setups, but with all the cost and space, it still ways from real experience. To get the feel of the g forces, you would also need those hydraulic seats which are not cheap. Then at that point, why not just go do the real thing. VR and AR would make these rigs irrelevant in a few years. Still I wouldn't mind a nice sim rig.
You can't reset your car doing the real thing :P
Or like... NOT dying hitting a wall going 140 Mph if shit gets squirrely? That's a huge plus if ya, you know..like living... Don't get ME wrong, I love motor sports and pretty drive the hell outta anything I can get behind... But the average person won't feel comfortable bombing down a dirt road at 130 Mph unless they were doing it virtually. Plus, everything in the video game world becomes irrelevant after every few years either way.

As long as the side views are distorted so bad, i definitely never want such a setup. This is, why i never use Eyefinity on my 3-screen setup, though my hardware can handle it pretty easy.

This is cool preVR but now that they have VR what would be the point to do this other than spending a bunch of time and money plus a lot of space will be taking up. I am sure this can't be good for your eyes at all as well not saying VR is but who sits so close to a screen.

Maverik O'Neil I'm thinking about starting with the raw 1250.00 is it easy to assemble
it is but make sure to make a structure or a cockpit to support the screen. the mdf structure is kinda flimsy and if you don't use the benq projectors that are suggested you're going to run into troubles finding the right spot accordingly to the focus range of your projectors. Don't expect a 'retina' experience, it's gonna be a little blocky due to the pixel being so sparse on a so big screen, but in game you won't find it difficult to get used to and ignore it. the software is gonna be another critical element. it's hard to get to the right spot on the first try but you'll get better and Tomas is really kind and helpful and will help you learn ways to get the best experiece out of the system. If you want I can give you some more infos via pm or mail. see ya

Many Triple A titles (Forza, Gran Turismo, NFS) don't have VR compatibility yet.

I suppose your nephew is young and his eyes are still ok. Along you grow your sight will be down, and not everyone ressists low resolution and flickering of todays VR helmets so close of your eyes. So if your nephew continues playing 6 hours VR several years you will see his eyes problems and brain headaches much sooner than a mate with his age. Today I can't resist more than 30 - 60 minutes in an Occulus VR helmet.

Just noticed that there was more video card and ram in these simulators, several parts of the game to see delay, "lag" ... Nothing that a small upgrade does not solve ... lol
